That just happens naturally for me

mine would to some extent cause mom has curly hair, but I have very long, very thick hair so brush it out and braid it most days. this way its also a surprise when someone who's only seen me with my hair back sees it down! 😝. I've had my hair tied back (braids, ponytail) most of the time for like five years, so to see I look the same as I did black then. when I take my hair down and do something other than casual clothes I look like some teen (which I am, I just don't look it to myself)

I have sort of wavy-curly hair, I use salt spray stuff and (when it turns out right) it gives it a bit of a 50s vibe

Alright my wavy hair curly hair peeps, the John Frieda curl mousse is by far the most versatile products that I have used. It's great. If your not interested in that, and you have heavy hair that doesn't get greasy, use the Cantu line of products. I've tried so many I can probs help if you want to bring out your curl pattern.

im in mountain west, so no humidity in sight

I too live in the south. the humidity is a bitch, everything hot and sticky and sweaty. and ofc, curlies in the hair that I have to brush out 🙄
