Finn was sitting up in bed, his knees hugged to his chest and his hand on this throat. He was sobbing heavily and shaking violently, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Carson rushed over and hugged Finn, pulling him onto his lap and rocking slightly. "What's wrong, how can i help, oh man, what's wrong?"

He hides his face in Carsons shoulder, still sobbing and trembling with fear. Or pain…or even both. Come to think of it, there was several instance reports on Finn for having terrible nightmares in his paperwork.

Carson holds Finn's head in his hand, continuing to rock back and forth and not knowing what to do.

It took the boy a whole hour before he calmed down to soft whimpering. He kept a hold on his neck as he hiccups and shakes ever so slightly. “I-I’m sorry…”

"Oh lovie." He gave him a little squeeze. "It's ok. Don't apologize. you did nothing wrong."

“But…I…made too much noise…” He hiccups again. “I get in trouble every time I do that…” He whispers.

"not here you wont." He looked down into Finn's eyes. "I did tell you to yell if you needed anything did I not?"

He wipes his eyes, sniffling. “Yeah…” He mutters, holding onto his tiger. He then nuzzles into the stuffed animal, taking a deep breath.

"Are you ok?" he asked with a slight smile in the corner of his voice. "There might be some ice cream in the freezer if you think that would help?"

He looks up at him wide eyed.

"Here, follow me." Carson got off the bed and held out his hand for Finn to take.

The boy stares at him in awe, then slowly gets up and takes his hand. He looks around. “Am I gonna get in trouble?”

Carson squatted to be eye level with him. "I am in charge here." if you get in trouble then i get in trouble and that can't happen." He stood back up and led him downstairs. "From this point forward Finn, consider yourself free from all rules. Laws will have no afect on you. you will never be in trouble again."

Finn blinks. “Whoa…” he smiles, then starts giggling. “I can save the city without getting yelled at! Yay!” He laughs.

"AS long as i know where you're going sure!" He opened the door to the kitchen and sat Finn down at the counter. Carson began pulling out tubs of ice cream in various flavored. "Whatdoya want?

Finn gasps, staring at the food. He looked extremely overwhelmed as he continued to stare, unsure.

"Too many choices?" he held up two. Strawberry and huckleberry. "how about between just these two. witch one would you rather have?"

Finn looks between the two, then points to the huckleberry.

"k… how bout these two?" he held up two more.

Finn ends up picking mint chocolate chip ice cream, smiling brightly.

Carson put it into a bowl, and hands it to Finn. Poring chocolate sauce as he did so.

He squeals the most adorable squeal and takes a bite, looking like the most adorable thing ever seen.

Carson watched as Finn ate the ice cream and slowly fell back asleep. he carried him back upstairs to his room and laid him in bed. Siting himself down in an armchair in the same room.

The sun peaked slightly through the window and laid heavily across Finn's face.

Finn swats at the light like it would hop off of him, then slowly opens his eyes and yawns. He then sits up and looks around. “I thought I was just dreaming…” he mumbles.
