(Hey! noice to hear from you again!)
Winifred shrugged.
"I always thought that sort of a thing was a myth anyways, my mom said she saw colors when she met my dad, but they went away when he died, so I just kind of figured she was giving me a story to give me something to look forward to once I was older, but I guess she was telling the truth."
She looked down at her pants, which were navy blue, not black like she had thought and her shirt was a dark velvet red. "Huh," she said, smiling. "Guess it's hard to match when you can't see anything but white, black and hues of grey."
(Yeah, it's been a hot minute 😅)
Paisley's expression softened as she listened to Winifred. "My parents never really talked about it. I think they didn't want to make me jealous because they know how much I wanted to see colors."
Her peepers took in Winifred's clothes before glancing down at her own. "My friend can see colors, so she helped me out," she admitted with a giggle. "But you look amazing. Really." She beamed at the other girl, proving the genuineness of her wods.
"Red and blue are my sisters favorite colors, so it works out." Winifred said, chuckling. "Almost as if I did it on purpose."
Paisley pursed her lips and smiled. “So just say that you did! No one will ever know the difference because I can keep a secret like nobody’s business. And that’s because it is nobody’s business!”
Winifred laughed and patted Paisley on the shoulder.
"Exactly!" She said, agreeing.
Paisley grinned and blushed bright pink at the touch. Physical affection was big for her, but she didn’t want to overstep early and push herself on Winifred. Besides, the other girl might not like physical touch. Paisley really hoped that she did.
“So now what?” she asked innocently.
"we just teach you the basics and stuff, it's not that hard really." Winifred said in a gentle yet motherly tone.
"So we mostly have regulars but people hardly show up on days when the weather is the way it is"
She pointed out the front see-through wall to dark clouds moving in quite fast.
"To many people cherish not driving in the cloud juice rather than their bean soup."
(Sorry it's been so long I can't remember where they work lmao)
(😅 Earthopian cafe)
Paisley nodded and grinned. “Okay, sounds good! That makes sense.” Her peepers followed Winifred’s gaze out the see-through wall, and her eyebrows arched. “Oh, I didn’t realize it was going to cloud juice later… I should’ve checked the weather.”
She looked back at Winifred with a smile. “But at least now we can spend some more time together!”
"That's true." Winifred said looking up and smiling. "So…do you have any siblings?"
