"We know what's going on." Blaze says, before looking at Salmook.

"Go ahead, kiddo." she says kindly. Trying to stop Salmook, she could tell, would result in a lot of injuries.

Daphne raises her voice slightly, gesturing aggressively. “No-! No eating people!” She looks around. “…Please? Don’t kill anyone-” She goes silent and looks down. That was a bad idea-

Salmook tilts his head as Blaze and Daphne talk at the same time. He pouts and crosses his arms.
"Why no? Why tell Salmook what do? Me hungry, me eat."

Tseth stands up, moving out of the middle of everyone and more importantly getting out of the way of Salmook. “Maybe someone should move the dying woman out of this room before she becomes this kids next meal. I don’t think any of us want to be around for that.” He looks at the other staff members when he speaks. He looks at Salmook again. “It’s not good to- eat people. You shouldn’t do that.” This sounds ridiculous coming from a krill. Oh well, at least only Daphne would be able to laugh at it.

Daphne glances at Tseth, raising her eyebrows in an oh, really? expression, then shrugs.

The man looks around at everyone else, then grabs the unconscious woman and drags her out of the room. He comes back a few minutes later, then looks at Daphne, who’s still in the corner. He tilts his head. “Why don’t you come out of the corner and get to know everyone, Daphne?” It slightly felt like more of a command then a question, for some reason.

Daphne looks up at him, then shakes her head. “No- I, uh, I think I know everyone well enough.” She laughs nervously.

Salmook groans as the jabby-man takes the jabby-lady away. He narrows his eyes as the man returns and speaks to Daphne. Salmook doesn't know anything about her, but he doesn't like the jabby-man, either. He picks up on Daphne's nervousness and interrupts.
"Salmook hungry! Jabby-man take food! Hungry!"

@Null-Gravity language

Blaze steps away from everyone calmly.

She sighs quietly, and after a moment her voice fills the room.

"Everyone, be quiet." she orders in a tone of voice that would get even Salmook's attention.

@Morals-are-for-mortals language

Tseth walks over to stand next to Daphne. He watches everyone with a trained eye, watching their actions and listening to their tone of voice. Everyone was tense being here. Personally, he just wanted to go back to the Wastelands. Though everyone had been acting weird the entire day before he got here. What was going on with that? Another part of this?

@im-with-stoopid pets

Salmook snaps his teeth at the jabby-man. He's not sure what "authority" means, but whatever it is, Salmook doesn't like it.
"Author-ty, shmaferty! You mean! No take me food!"

@the-void-phantasmic group

The man narrows his eyes at Salmook. “Shut it, you feral little rat.”

Daphne sits down on the ground, pulling her knees to her chest. She stares at the ground, clearly extremely tense.

@Null-Gravity language

Blaze's expression turns exceedingly violent as she fixes the man with a stare of unheard of levels of menace.

"I was not talking to you, sir." she says silkily.

@the-void-phantasmic group

Just as the man is about to speak up again, Sylvia clears her throat, speaking over everyone. “Uh- well, now that you’ve gotten to know each other… I guess I should give a more in-depth explanation of what it’s going to look like in the next couple of weeks.” She looks around at everyone. “So… please stop fighting.” She shoots a look at the man, and he glares right back at her.

Daphne doesn’t seem to give any response to Sylvia, other than glancing up at her and relaxing a tiny bit.

@Morals-are-for-mortals language

Tseth looks over at Sylvia, admittedly curious at what she has to say. And the slightest bit relieved that they’ll finally know why they’re here. But… next couple of weeks? He’d have to find a way out of here before then.

@Null-Gravity language

Blaze's eyes flash.

"Two weeks?" she repeats, clearly more than pissed.

Sylvia is being pinned back against a wall by the throat before she can say another word.

"It's bad enough that you abducted me. That you fucked with my family. But keeping me fro m my duties for two weeks? Do you even realise the scope of your actions? How many thousands of people will lose their lives because you took one of their hopes away?" she hisses.

@the-void-phantasmic group

Sylvia stiffens, staring at Blaze with wide eyes. “I- I’m sorry, ma’am, but I don’t- I don’t have any control over how long you- you stay-“

Lucas, who was watching everything in silence, suddenly shouts when Blaze pins Sylvia. “Sylvia-!

Daphne looks at Blaze, her anxiety getting worse by the minute. Definitely gonna stay away from her-

@Null-Gravity language

Blaze squeezes Sylvia's neck harder, stopping her from talking again.

"Choose your next words very carefully, Girl. Who. Do you. Work for. I won't take 'I don't know' as an answer," she says silkily, clearly itching for a reason to snap Sylvia's neck.

@the-void-phantasmic group

(It’s getting exceedingly difficult to make this situation an actual challenge for Blaze sobs)

Lucas whimpers. “Stop it! Please-!” He’s clearly scared for Sylvia.

Daphne makes a small, distressed noise, then looks down, squeezes her eyes shut, and covers her ears.

@Morals-are-for-mortals language

Tseth walks over to Blaze and Sylvia, grabbing Blaze’s wrist with his metal hand. Not a very good idea, but she won’t be able to escape it’s grasp. “Make a move and I snap your wrist. Let the woman speak, please. I know you’re not happy about this, but none of us are. At least let her finish before you crush her windpipe as well, yes?”

@im-with-stoopid pets

Salmook flinches at Blaze's sudden violence. She may not've been a jabby-lady, but she was definitely just as bad as one.
He didn't like her - too dangerous. But Blaze didn't like it when Salmook talked, so he stuck his tongue out instead. What made her so mad anyways? Something about a "week?" Oohh, the jabby-girl must've called Blaze weak.
Salmook watches Tseth as he grabs Blaze's wrist. He's very brave, dumb as a rock, or maybe both. Salmook keeps his distance.

@Null-Gravity language

(To be fair, if she had her weapons, this all would've been over much faster, so yeah- also, I love the fact that she's turning out to be the least stable. It's not how she is in the story, but we'll roll with it.)
(Also, apologies to Tseth but he asked for it-)

Blaze's eyes flash.

As she turns, she uses Sylvia as a shield, blocking whatever blow may come, before tossing her to the side.

She flips over Tseth, ending up behind him, and uses the grip he has on her arm to toss him halfway to the ceiling.

She's breathing slightly harder than before.

"Don't. Touch me."
