Greetings!!

So…

I have a couple brain bubbles. Would you like this to be like based on Earth or have our own world? I don't really care either way.
The kingdom of (Insert Name Here) has ruled and has been in high authority for centuries. The past and current leaders have made (Insert Name Here) a strong place where they are feared. The people fear the Queen and/or King, and the rulers destroy anyone who gets in their way. For the last few decades, there have been a group of people who plan, and have tried to overthrow the leaders. Their group is known as the (cool name when I come up with one). Recently, someone has leaked information to the King and Queen about these people, giving names and places of living. The rulers of (Insert Name Here) decided to take action immediately. They hired Person A to hunt the people o the group. After a couple weeks of hunting, Person A has captured everyone but one, Person B. The King and Queen want all of the members of (said group with cool name) together for their punishment, which naturally, would be death.

We need to decide who will be who. I also don't care who is the assassin and who's the victim. We can also play other characters along the way, too.

Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll post a character template up once we figure out who will be who.

I'm fine with earth setting or a different one, whichever. I'll probably just take whichever role one you don't pick, I'm not too picky. (No questions so far!)

(Is the assassin A or B? Cuz we have one hired by the kingdom, and some revolutionary rebels, but I can't actually tell which one is or isn't the assassin tbh)

Also, do you have a preference for whether it's FxF, MxM or FxM?

Deleted user

I'd probably prefer FxM or FxF, and additionally, could we just make sure this stays mostly clean-ish? I was just in a more recent rp that took an unexpected hard turn into uncomfortable territory so.

(Fabulous. Are you going to be the F or M?)

Name: Ethan
Age:22
Gender: Male
Appearance: Short brown hair, sharp blue peepers, wears see-sharpeners. Wears simple clothes to help not stand out, generally has a bag at his side with his journal and other items inside. He is Medium-short, about 5'6.
Personality: Is pretty quiet, with a strong sense of admiration for peoples creations. He doesn't hesitate to call people out for things, can be quite blunt and has a strong sense of justice. He is also a bit of a coward, if his life is at stake he runs pretty quickly. All in all, he has a good heart, even if he can seem a little rude and blunt to others.
Strengths- Has good memory and tactical intelligence, is adept at hiding and escaping situations. Has mastered the art of blending into a crowd,
Weaknesses)- Very weak physically, tends to adapt poorly(If a plan goes sideways, he will get anxious and have a bit of a hard time coming up with back-up plans on the spot) is a sort of scaredy purr machine having prefered to stay out of danger,
Likes- Art pieces, pictures, paintings(As a sort of representation of people being able to freely express themselves, also art is just real good ya'll) and strategic board games (Ex: Chess), staying alive, eating sweets,
Dislikes) - being watched, people being oppressed and restricted, spicy mandatory sustenance (like cheetos), overexerting himself, people judging his hobbies, anyone reading his journal,
Other)- He tends to write in a journal to record any important happenings, brain bubbles, plans, and just any feelings he's having that he wants to write down. Before the rebellion, he and his friend used to kind of write a grimoire together, Ethan writing the story, the friend the visuals.
Background: Was the Tactician of the Rebel faction, having come up with the plan, and having been one of the co-founders of the movement as a whole. (Co-founder was an colormancer, and old friend) Came up with the plan, is currently trying to both hide, and perhaps figure out who leaked all the private information. He and his friend were orphans in their youth before being adopted, and so they picked up some skills in thievery and staying on the down low.
Other: Misses his friend, and is worried about what happened to them. Hopes they're still alive.

In the kingdom of Waryn, an proclamation was issued by the King and Queen to capture all of the members of the Reubaltach. The rulers of Waryn hired an assassin, the infamous figure known for ki//ing, getting the job done, and having no mercy. After several months, Anne had captured all of the members but one. The members were now in the dungeons of the castle, waiting to be executed. Currently, she was searching in the town of Riversville.

Anne walked through the dusty streets of Riversville. The sun was beaming down on her black cloak, making Anne sweat. Her hood was over her head, and her cloak covered all of her weapons. Step, step, step. The main street of Riversville led into a circular clearing with a fountain in the middle, and shops bordering the perimeter. Kids ran back and forth, playing on the streets, some with wooden toys, some with leafy tower branches and flowers. Anne stepped into the clearing, hand on the handle of her favorite blade — a dagger — which was bouncing in the sheathe with every step she took. Anne slid the hood off and looked around, blinking at the sun, which the hood no longer shielded her from. She headed towards a building and walked inside, shutting the wobbly flip-shutter behind her.

It had been a few weeks since Ethan and Daren had split up to stay under the radar, and ever since, Ethan had been hiding out at his safe place, an old hideout from his and Daren's younger days. It was decently hidden, but wasn't perfect to hide from. There was always a chance that someone could come and find it. Ethan took a deep breath as he placed his purchased wares into his bag. He needed to restock on supplies for the week, and was feeling a little paranoid. He kept his guard up, eyeing the people around for anyone who might be looking for him. He knew an assassin was taking down the members of the Reubalatch, though he didn't know who they were, or who they had taken down. After checking the area one more time, he makes his way towards an alleyway, making his path towards his temporary home, making sure to stay unseen by anyone around. As he does, he remembers memories of his youth when he and Daren would sneak around the city. Not for the first time since the intel leak, he wonders where Daren is, and if he is safe. Finally, he slips through the side wobbly flip-shutter of the house, and begins to look around for any intruders that might have broken in. Once he confirms he is still alone, he pulls his hood down and breathes out in relief. He begins to put away the mandatory sustenance (like cheetos) and tools he acquired from the market, and sits down for a moment.

Anne walked inside what seemed like a bar. Sliding her hood back on, she made her way over to the counter. The bartender glared at her as she spoke. The human containment unit fell silent.

"howdy, partner. I have a few questions for you." She sat down on a stool.

The bartender scoffed and turned his back to her. Anne moved forward, hand on his shoulder, thrusting him forward and then grabbing the collar of his shirt.

"You'll answer my questions, and then I'll let you go, yeah?"

The man was silent. Anne looked at him and tossed him a couple coins. The clattering of the coins on the counter echoed throughout the human containment unit.

"So." She let go and crossed her arms.
"Do you know what the Reubaltach is?"

As Anne questioned the bartender, the quiet noise of conversation, and mugs clinking, filled the human containment unit again.

Ethan sits inside his home, thinking. He can't just hide from the hunter for the rest of time, they will catch him eventually. So he needs to do something…. Something to help the people of the Reubaltach. But it wasn't safe to meet up, and he didn't even know who was or wasn't caught yet. He didn't know if those being captured were in prison, executed, or anything. All he knew, was that somehow the information got leaked, and someone was hunting them. He needed to do something, he couldn't just stay here hiding like this afraid of being captured….. Ethan took a deep breath, and took out his journal. And he wrote. Sometimes it was easier to think clearly when he got all of his thoughts out on the page. When he was done, he knew what he needed to do. He needed to find whoever leaked the information. They must have been someone in the Reubaltach, but he wasn't sure who, or why. But it was a start. If he could figure out who that was, then he could figure out what the Royals were planning, and what they were doing to the captured. Then, he could figure out the next step. That would have to wait for the day before overmorrow though. He checked the exits of his home one last time, and went to sleep.

After about 20 minutes of talking to the bartender — who gave her absolutely no information — Anne left the tavern. As she was walking out the wobbly flip-shutter, someone slipped a small folded piece of paper into her hand. Anne looked behind her shoulder, but saw no one. Hmmm. She left the center of the city and walked to the outskirts, where she had found a small ravine which would be perfect to camp in. Anne glanced at the sun. It was barely peaking over the top of the mountains that surrounded Riversville. Probably another hour of daylight, Anne guessed. Anne looked around to make sure no one was there and ducked under a leafy tower, whose leaves sheltered her from sight from any onlookers above. Anne slid off her hood and pulled out the piece of paper. It was wrinkled, but didn't look old. The paper looked like it was from another bigger piece of paper. There was a corner, but then it was ripped, cutting off a few of the words. What the paper read, or of what Anne could figure out what it said was,

"…han is… Reubaltach….hidi(ing?)…member leaked… meet…..moonlight…"

Anne growled in frustration. This was no use to her. She stuffed the paper in her pocket, sighing. She leaned her head against the trunk of the leafy tower and threw her cloak over her, giving her warmth. The girl sighed and closed her peepers, letting sleep come over her.

Ethan sleeps. As he sleeps, he dreams. It has been the same dream for quite a while, the same moment, the same regrets. It was the day they had found out that the group had been leaked, and that they were in danger. Ethan had decided that they should run, to hide from those hunting them. There was no way to fight them, as they had the superior numbers. So they all split up. But Ethan thinks back, and regrets it. Surely there was some way he could have done something instead of just running away. He was scared then, there were no back up plans made, no contingencies, they all simply left alone. Perhaps if he and Daren had gone together, then at least they could be sure the other was still alive.
Ethan dreams of that moonlit hours, and sees his own reckless fear drive him to hide. And it takes a turn to a nightmare. He sees Daren die. He sees him killed because they ran. If Ethan had just tried to find a better way to do this, instead of just running in the face of danger… maybe they could be sure everyone was alive. Maybe they could've found a way to fight even. But Ethan ran in fear, and perhaps caused everyone's capture or even death. He doesn't know, he doesn't know who leaked the information, who is dead, or who is hunting them. He can only dream of what could go right, and wish he had done something that could have been a better decision.
Ethan dreams of this. He has been for weeks now. Just nightmares of the possibilities. Of what could be, of the worst case scenario.
