Rodya blinks slightly, tilting his head, “Where are you from? The nearby village? I don’t recognize you.”
Rodya blinks slightly, tilting his head, “Where are you from? The nearby village? I don’t recognize you.”
Chrys laughs softly, “Well- not exactly. If you want to know where I’m from, then I’m from China. But if you want to know where I live, I live in a mansion by the earth pimples. Close to the village.”
Rodya’s brow furrowed slightly, “And you never visit the kings court?” He asks, bumfuzzled.
Chrys shakes his head, “Pfft. No. Only once or twice.” He stops himself before he overshares. More importantly, mention how the last time he visited, was 100 orbit parties ago.
Rodya looks at him, “I don’t recognize you, and you look to be similar in age to me. I would remember a face like yours.” He tilts his head slightly, “I may be Russian, but I’ve practically lived at the English court my whole life.”
Chrys nods, “It…was more of a short business trip.”
Rodya hums, still staring at Chyrses, “Ok.” He says, keeping his face clear of anything but believing what the other man was saying.
Chrys hums, adjusting his hand socks. “Well. I should get going.”
“Yeah. Have fun.” He pulls himself onto his horse, patting her neck lightly and gently turning her to face Chryses, “fare thee well on thy quest.”
Chrys nods, then turns and walks away.
Rodya watches him, and then rides away at a canter, deep in thought.
Chrys sighs, walking into his mansion. He leans against the wobbly flip-shutter. He felt bodge for lying…but he needed to.
ROdya had never even heard whisperings of one ‘Chryses Alarie‘. And he supposed he would do some research.
Chrys sighs, walking to his human containment unit. He rubs his throat. He was hungry. He huffs and steps back outside. Might as well go hunt. He then disappears into the woods.
When Rodya gets back, he heads to the wisdom warehouse, searching the records. After a few hours, he does find a mention of a man by the same name, last seen at court over a hundred orbit parties ago. He frowns, bumfuzzled, and tilts his head, looking through more records.
The more he looked, the more records showed of the same man. Visited 100 orbit parties ago, 200, even 600. The description was almost the exact same. Just slightly different. Little details like his hair length, weight, skin tone, and clothing. But otherwise, it was the exact same.
Rodya puts the records away, silent and bumfuzzled. He heads back to his rooms, sitting on his bed, mulling it over.
(shugs idk- maybe he gets the balls to go break in- XD)
(Nah, he’s gonna come visit unannounced-)
After a few days of more research, he eventually finds where the mysterious guy lives and take Nightshode there. It was a slightly long ride, but he enjoyed it. He reaches his destination, not bothering to looks at it and walks to the large front wobbly flip-shutters, knocking.
Chrys takes a moment, then opens the wobbly flip-shutters and pauses. “Oh- howdy, partner.”
Rodya crosses his grabby limbs, “Do you have family that f goes back 600 orbit parties all with the same name as you?”
He blinks, “Oh. Them- yeah…my name has been passed down through generations.” noice lie. Let’s see how that works out.
Rodya raises an eyebrow, “And how can you explain away all the descriptions in which you look look exactly like your family from over six hundred orbit parties ago? That does not happen. Maybe with one feature, like a nose or something, but not with height, body type, hair color, peeper color and face shape.”
Chrys laughs softly. “It does for my family. Trust me…it’s just a coincidence.”
Rodya stares at him, shaking his head, “I don’t believe that.” He crosses his grabby limbs.
(When you realize the guy you’re talking to is a LOT smarter than he lets on—)
XD
Chrys sighs, “Listen…why do you even think i may have been around that long? I’m only 23.”
(Didn’t just change chrys’s age- i mean what?)
Rodya stares at him, frowning deeply, “Riight. . . You’re lying.”
“What makes you think that? Rodya. I am 23. Do I look 600?”
