He hums, “Thanks. It was my fathers.”
He hums, “Thanks. It was my fathers.”
Blade nods, impressed. "Fair enough." She inspected the axe closer. "How many injuries have you gifted people with that thing?"
He smirks, “892.” He chuckles softly. “And 841 deaths.”
Rayla holds her book tight, ready to intervene (read: cause a huge explosion) the moment things start to get violent, but after a bit she sighs softly and relaxes, looking at the new woman.
"Heya! I'm Rayla, who are you?" she asks brightly, holding her hand out for Blade to shake.
Blade nods to Kathy. "Impressive. I'd like a weapon like that." She turns to Rayla. "I'm Blade." She was about to say something else but bit it off and just shook Rayla's hand.
Kathy leans back in his chair, tapping the metal on the ground.
"Oh that's a pretty name!" Rayla smiles. She looks down at her book for a moment before looking back up at the woman.
"What do you do for a living?" she asks.
Phoenix watched the action unfold with a sense of growing alarm. He wasn't sure what to do with all of these people… especially the ones who had been fighting a moment before. He gave a mental sigh; Good thing Shay isn't here; she'd be right in the middle of it…
Blade studied Rayla. "…That depends on what you mean by that," she said after a moment. "I'm an assassin. Technically I'm the queen now, though, so that doesn't really matter." She smiled faintly. "What do you do?"
Rayla laughs. "Well, I've known a few people like you. Beautiful warrior queens."
"I make things and destroy things." she replies, waving a had and causing a wide swathe of trees to simply vaporize, along with about a kilometer of dirt disappearing too. Waving her hand again, all of it is restored.
Kathy smirks, “Cool. I know a guy who can do that.”
"Oh, that's nothing. I'm trying not to kill everyone here, so I won't be using my magic very often - its calculated for runaway demons, gods and demigods who need to be punished, not humans. I just made some on-the-spot calculations and hoped they were right." she chuckles.
Kathy chuckles, “Oh the guy I know can just- draw and all of a sudden we gotta new living person-“
Rayla raises an eyebrow.
"Hm." she hums. A stranger suddenly pops out of nowhere into the dimension.
"Meet Billy. Billy didn't exist before now." she smiles.
Kathy laughs, “Neat. An empty vessel.”
Rayla claps and Billy turns to sub-atomic dust.
"Billy no longer exists." she giggles. "I can create dimensions, too, but if I were to do that here I might collapse this system."
Kathy smirks and shrugs, “I’d probably just pop back up to The House.”
"Maybe. What is 'the House?'" Rayla asks, curious.
Nikki had surprisingly fallen asleep, she didn't know how long she had been out. she opened her eyes and yawned before looking around the room.
Kathy looks at her, smiling. “Somewhere where ‘travelers’ if you wanna call it that, get judged based on how you are as a person. If you’re a piece of shit, you get killed. If not, you’re welcome to stay as long as you want. And possibly become part of our family.”
Danica perks up, "Sounds like heaven."
Kathy laughs, “if youre a good person it is.”
Danica hums curiously, a thoughtful look on her face.
Kathy raises an eyebrow. “Oh I’ve seen that look before-“
"What do you mean?" She asks.
Phoenix couldn't help but gawk at all of the overpowered, mildly-murderous people in the room with him.
"And I thought I had issues," he muttered to himself. He noticed one girl off to the side who seemed to have just woken up. Subtly, he crept over to her couch and sat down.
"Um, hi?" he said, giving her an awkward smile.
Kathy smirks, “Are you wondering what would happen if you were to come see The House?” He chuckles, then glances over to the boy who had just spoken up. “Hah- yeah…”
Danica blinks. "No…" She looks down, thinking still, "I just don't know how you…. never mind…." She stands. "Since we're all showing off what we can do, mind if I show mine?"
Rayla listens to the interactions, humming quietly - literally, she was humming like she was a live electrical current - before looking at Danica eagerly.
"Yes!" she says happily.
Kathy smirks, “hm…yeah sure.”
