Cassandra just listened to the man; she only raised her eyebrows when the engine levitates. She felt like she was in some kind of trance.
Cassie snapped into reality, then sighed, "Well… fine. But you better not try anything stupid with me," she warned. She looked back at her dismantled car and followed the man, warily.
"ha if i could make bets, i would have just won one. can you believe 4 thought i'd get in trouble" he says already walking away with the engine trailing behind him "oh who are you again? i forgot." he says not turning around.
"Haha, really? Are you really sure about that? 'Cause I think 4 may have been right." She asked teasingly, grabbing her lip gloss and bear behind his back. She at least needed to show the dude that she wasn't some girl he could control.
"Oh, yeah, I'm Cassandra, but you can call me Cassie or Cassia."
he spins around and promptly hits his arm on the engine, it was obviously painful but he ignored it, "so is it the bear? or lip gloss? and are you trying to do something?"
"Well, I mean I could tell you, but it would be more efficient if I showed you," she said, tauntingly mirroring his words, then spoke a bit quieter. "Would you like to be a bit of a test subject for now? Don't worry I won't hurt you too badly, as long as you don't hurt me," Cassie mentioned warily.
"Btw, what's your name again?"
'don't do it. PLEASE don't do it' 4 says 'well, actually go for it. i wanna see this too.' he amends "a test right? okayyyyy, might as well. So what's going on? and I'm 1. wait, no, it's raydon"
"Okay, Raydon. You know, I kinda like that name," she remarked, "So, where should I test it, your arm, leg, stomach?"
he tilts his head in thought "myyyy, leg. wait. no. yes. yeah i don't need my leg."
"Bro, chill. It's not like I'm gonna chop it off. Alright, Test 1." She lightly pokes the teddy's left leg five times with her lip gloss, "Can you feel that?"
"yes. but also i would still like to see the limits, and learn how it works. and legs aren't necessary for my line of 'work'. just remember your hurting 4 people."
"People?! I thought they were personalities or something." She stuffed the gloss inside her small purse and pressed on the bear's leg five times with her finger. "Alright, could you feel that?"
"well to answer the first question, technically yes because i can't be put into solitary confinement, and 4 has different memories, so there for a completely different person. as for the last question. i think?"
"Huh, that's cool, were you born with them?" she pressed even harder on the bear"s leg, "How about now?"
"well, im not sure. 4 would know, but if he doesn't tell us, then we shouldn't know. and yes." he says 'and your damn right about that' says 4 'i still think we should know' 'well duh' thinks ray. "if i had to guess i probably did something stupid."
"Hm, this might sound dumb, but… I kinda would like to meet 4, if I could see them." Cassie said wistfully, "But never mind, that was stupid," she said, embarrassed.
She started putting the bear away, "I've been working on controlling pain without the bear, but I could try that later if you want. Let's just go to your place."
"huh…" he says "well no wonder you'd rather talk to 4, he's the one in charge of social interactions, since he's also that knows how to…well do that.. i guess." he begins walking away again "it's this way." he calls back over his shoulder.
"Okay," she says, following him.
when they get there raydon opens the garage door. and inside was a huge mess, and in the middle of the mess was a miniature railgun. "and this is the kind stuff that i have to put up with since raydon in control." 4 says. raydon walks around the edges of the room and before him the mess starts to clear itself, bit by bit. tools, small bots and random pieces of metal sort themselves and go back to the tables lining the room, a broom followed him sweeping until he got back to cassie. once it's clean it looks about the total size of a large apartment more than an average garage. "and here we are. this is much more complex then what a scrap heap would give me." 2 says this time
Once Cassie stepped into the garage, she was impressed by everything around her and even more surprised when everything started to clean the house automatically. She gazed at the cleaned place in awe, "Wow, h- how'd you do that?"
"just telekinesis, it got pretty bad so 3 swept, 2 sorted, i checked everything was gone before moving and 4 did nothing." he says taking her car engine over to the railgun, starts attaching it.
"Wait, so you can see them individually? Also, what are you doing with my engine?"
(So, are Cassie and Ray gonna team up to fight a super villain or what kind of conflict are we gonna sprinkle in? Just wondering.)
"see them? individually? they're all up in my head remember, but not in a crazy way." he says still focused on his work "well im attaching the engine to the gun. and by the way how much do you think this kinda stuff could sell for?"
(well not sure if its a slice of life or not yet, any ideas? and btw i can start driving the plot forwards if u need)
"Really, so how did they-" she paused, "Um, the gun? A lot of money I suppose. I'm not that good with finances though. You're not planning to sell my engine are you?!"
(well not sure if its a slice of life or not yet, any ideas? and btw i can start driving the plot forwards if u need)
(Well, we could also weaken (injure) one of our characters, but idk I'm just brainstorming. Sure, how do you plan to?)
"no way i'm selling a high power RAILGUN to someone, are you crazy?! plus all i do build is use it a few times, then destroy it forever. simple." 'yeah but we do need food money, remember' said 3.
"I mean, I may be sorta crazy? But isn't that a waste of time, effort and materials?"
he looks at her and just stares for a minute, then pauses his work "doing this. an endless cycle. of building, destroying and making something completely new, is all i've ever done. i mean for all i know i could be, like, an actual bot myself. so to answer your question, yes it is, but on purpose." he says going back to his work.
She listened carefully to Ray. "Oh," she could only say.
