Nokhal’rok smiled back, then took the pen and paper she handed him, writing his number down. The smell of her perfume, now so much more distinct to him, was utterly delightful. He would have to ask her later what it was exactly.

He glanced up as he wrote, noticing her gaze. His smile grew, and he slowed his writing just slightly so she could get a better look at him. He also wrote ‘Nok’ underneath it, just in case, before he handed the paper and pen back to her.

Her offer quickly caught his attention and Nokhal’rok was torn for a minute on what to do. He loved the idea of being able to go shopping with her earlier, but he also understood the idea of letting his nose settle. A wave of indecisiveness fell over him, so he decided to see what O’Hara wanted to do.

“Which time would you prefer? I’m open to either,”he asked.

@emilyevewrites group

O’Hara noted the moment his writing pace changed. And she didn’t mind one bit. The doctor enjoyed a man who was confident enough to acknowledge when someone was staring, especially since she was the same way. She wasn’t deterred when he noticed her looking, and she didn’t look away.

She slipped the pen and paper from his fingers, slipping the pen back onto her clipboard and tucking the paper safely in her pocket. For later.

His question seemed to throw her off for a second (only a second) before she pursed her lips in thought. “The ‘doctor side’ of me would tell you it’s unwise to skip recovery days as your nose heals,” she answered, pausing a moment before continuing. “But fuck, I would love to go now…” She tapped her foot impatiently. “And I have to write Jacks her check.”

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nokhal’rok chuckled at her words, his mind already thinking of workarounds. He would love to go with her sooner as well, and he was notorious for bending rules.

“Well… since you are a doctor, and the one who fixed my nose, you could make sure I don’t do anything overly exerting, or otherwise bad for my nose, while we’re out. That way, I’m not necessarily ‘skipping’ recovery days,”he offered with a sly grin.

Nokhal’rok hoped she’d agree. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to go. It was beginning to really nag at him.

@emilyevewrites group

O’Hara’s easy smirk returned, and her eyes lit up as she thought over his words.

“I suppose you’re right,” she agreed silkily. “As long as you don’t do anything terribly stupid, I don’t think it would hurt anything if we were to go out tonight instead.”

She glanced at the time, Nokhal’rok’s vitals, and then out at the nurse’s station.

“I have to catch Jackie on my way out. I’ll get your release papers ready now… I’ll have to go to my office. It’ll take just a minute.” She looked back over at him, giving him a brief up-and-down look. “Can you stand?”

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

“I promise you I won’t do anything stupid. And, I’m loathe to break my word,”Nokhal’rok said with a small smile.

He nodded at her next words.

“Alright. Hmm… I don’t see why not,”he replied.

Nokhal’rok carefully started sitting up. He could tell that his nose was tender, but otherwise he felt perfectly fine. He then glanced down at the IV still stuck in his arm.

“I am trapped by wires,”he joked, chuckling.

Nokhal’rok wasn’t one to just pull out an IV line, or any other hospital equipment. He’d learned the hard way some years ago that it’s better to simply let the doctor take care of it.

@emilyevewrites group

"Excellent," O'Hara replied simply. She gathered all Nokhal'rok's personal medical information in her arms and monitored him as he stood.

She laughed at his small joke and set down the clipboard and folder in her arms to assist him. Her nimble fingers made quick, gentle work of removing the line and tape.

"There we are." O'Hara looked down at the bin at the base of his bed. "Your clothes are in there," she said, motioning to it. "I can give you a new shirt, though. I don't think you'll want one that's been bloodstained. Get dressed, and I'll be back in a moment."

As she left, she closed the curtain behind her. She took a step toward the nurse's station and nearly ran into Cruz, who was charging across the ER. He cut her a look, and she couldn't help but give an amused smirk in return.

"Doctor Cruz," she purred, crossing his path casually before letting him walk by.

"O'Hara," he said curtly in return, hurrying over to receive the next patient.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(To be honest, I thought he was still in his regular clothes. Oops, lmao!)

Nokhal’rok smiled when she laughed, then patiently waited as she plucked out the IV tube. When she indicated where his clothes were, he nodded.

“That would indeed be appreciated,”he replied.

He then nodded again, moving to grab his clothes as O’Hara left. Not two seconds later, he heard O’Hara nearly run into Cruz. The interaction between them was absolutely hilarious, but Nokhal’rok did his best to avoid snickering too loud.

When the incident was over, Nokhal’rok focused on his clothes. The light grey shirt was indeed a bit bloody, which was a pity. But, his dark grey vest was alright. If only it didn’t look so improper, even indecorous, on its own.

So, with a sigh, he simply dressed in his pants and shoes, then put the hospital gown back on over his torso. The color contrast between the white and the dark greys was dreadful, but at least he was a pinch more proper than with just the vest on.

@emilyevewrites group

(Oh, sorry… probably should've clarified that. Since his clothes had blood, he likely would've been changed into a hospital gown.)

O'Hara swore she heard a quiet snicker behind her as she approached the nurse's station. The satisfied smirk on her lips grew as she set her files down and began to comb through them for places that needed her signature. Her handwriting was just as refined and elegant as she was as she signed her name smartly: Eleanor O'Hara.

She dropped the paperwork in the wire basket at the corner of the nurse's station and narrowed her eyes slightly as she did a sweep of those who were sitting at their 'desks.'

"Has anyone seen Jackie?" O'Hara asked, and Zoey looked up, desperate to be helpful.

"She's with Akalitus in her office," the young nurse answered.

O'Hara glanced down at her and offered a small smile. "Thank you, Zoey," she told the girl softly before heading back over to Nokhal'rok's curtain. "Are you done?" she asked, her heels showing underneath the gap between the curtain and the floor.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(It’s fine, lol. I honestly hadn’t even thought about it before O’Hara said he could get dressed. Then, I had one those ‘duh’ moments and realized that he would be in a gown, not his actual clothes, lol)

Nokhal’rok debated how he was going to deal with his clothing situation until he heard familiar heel clicks. They then appeared under the curtain just as O’Hara questioned him.

“Well, I’m somewhat decent. Though, I’m in a dilemma regarding my upper attire. I doubt it would go well if I walked out of here with pants and a hospital gown on, but wearing my vest by itself is just… too bawdy for my tastes, especially while I’m in public. Or, should I just weather my poor, bloodied shirt until I get home? I don’t know,”Nokhal’rok said with a sigh.

It was a bit odd for him to share his dilemma, particularly since he often had similar indecisiveness regarding what outfit he wanted to wear at any point in time. But, this was a matter of decency, rather than style.

@emilyevewrites group

(It's okay lol)

O'Hara's eyebrows arched, and she was glad he couldn't see her smirking response to his clothing situation. I certainly wouldn't mind a bit of a bawdy appearance from him, she couldn't help but think.

"Don't put on the bloodstained shirt," O'Hara ordered simply. "That won't do at all." After a moment of thought, she called out to another doctor strolling past. "Doctor Cooper!"

O'Hara was two years his senior, but that didn't stop Coop from strutting over to her and crossing his arms in a power position. "Doctor O'Hara. Always a pleasure," he said smoothly.

She offered him a fleeting sarcastic smile before replying. "Yes, of course. Do you have an extra shirt?"

Coop's eyes widened, and a grin spread on his face. She could practically see the thoughts forming in his mind. "Why, what do you have in mind?"

O'Hara closed her eyes and curled her fingers into fists. "For the love of God! Can't a woman ask a question without being objectified or sexualized by an incompetent man?"

Coop frowned for a moment, looking genuinely upset. "You think I'm incompetent?"

Her eyes opened, and a quiet scoff escaped her mouth. "Do you have an extra shirt or must I ask someone else?"

"You didn't answer my question." O'Hara's glare was homicidal as she stormed past him. "Wait!" he called out when she was a few strides away. "I have a shirt you can use!"

She rolled her eyes and turned back to him. "That's more like it. Go on and get it. Bring it back here. Now."

Coop was off like a shot, and O'Hara crossed her arms impatiently.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

“Yeah, I agree,”Nokhal’rok replied, eyeing his poor shirt with a breif sad gaze.

He then listened to O’Hara call to another doctor. As the interaction progressed, Nokhal’rok had to cover his mouth to keep his snickers quiet. The way O’Hara spoke to her coworkers was absolutely hysterical. And, the way this ‘Doctor Cooper’ sounded, he wasn’t too bright.

Nokhal’rok then patiently waited when the silence returned. He only hoped that this shirt would fit, be comfortable, and be of a modest hue. It would drive him insane any other way. He couldn’t wait to get his own shirt cleaned, so he could wear it again, and not have to worry about a dilemma like this again. Maybe, he should start bringing a spare outfit with him as well, in case of incidences like this. And, why hadn’t he thought of that before?

@emilyevewrites group

O'Hara tapped her heeled foot impatiently as she waited for Coop to return. She glanced at the curtain and flushed slightly when she remembered that the entire conversation she'd just had was directly beside Nokhal'rok. Though she was grateful that the curtain blocked him from being able to see the pinkness of her cheeks.

"I'm sorry about him," she muttered, uncrossing her arms briefly before crossing them again when she saw Coop returning in a hurry.

He came to a halt in front of her and offered the shirt. It was plain, light gray, and just from judging Nokhal'rok's size compared to Coop, O'Hara assumed it would fit. Maybe a bit bigger, but that would be alright.

"There's a good boy," she cooed, turning away and pulling open the curtain slightly to hold the shirt out to Nok on the other side. "Here, this should be suitable."

Coop's mouth opened, shut, opened, shut, opened, and then shut again before he walked off.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Alrighty, I finally returned to this, lol)

Nokhal’rok chuckled,”It’s no big deal. Some people cannot be helped.”

He then listened some more, smiling in amusement at O’Hara’s words. ‘Good boy’? Oh dear, one of those folks. It was probably a good thing then Nokhal’rok couldn’t see this Doctor Cooper. Any number of things could go wrong in an instant, whether it was comical or not.

He took the shirt from O’Hara’s hand, then made sure the curtain was properly closed before he finished dressing. He could tell the shirt was different, foreign. It was almost like an alien invasion, except the alien was a shirt. But, he quickly took a slow, deep breath to avoid having a fit about it.

Patience. You must have patience. It is only temporary. The shirt is not a permanent resident of your life. Patience.

Nokhal’rok then neatly folded his messy shirt, checked that he had all of his belongings, and stepped out from behind the curtain.

@emilyevewrites group

(Yay! I have too few rps with O'Hara to let this die 😂 Btw, I have references for Cruz and Coop)
(Dr. Mike Cruz (Actor Bobby Cannavale) Reference 1, Reference 2, Reference 3, Reference 4, Reference 5)
(Dr. Fitch Cooper (Actor Peter Facinelli) Reference 1, Reference 2, Reference 3, Reference 4, Reference 5)

O'Hara slipped her hand back out once Nokhal'rok took the shirt from her fingers. "How very right you are," she murmured, rolling her eyes at Coop's retreating back.

She waited patiently – well, as patiently as she could – for Nok to finish dressing. Her arms were crossed, and her foot was tapping the tile floor. The woman was just too worked up from Jackie accepting her offer to pay for the girls' education. If only she had her checkbook with her now

O'Hara jumped slightly as the curtain pulled back and Nokhal'rok stood there, dressed in his normal clothes with the exception of Coop's shirt. "Alright then, are we ready?" she asked. She didn't wait for an answer as she strode across the ER, passed the nurse's station, and down a lesser-used hallway toward her office.

She opened the door, propped it with a door stand, and again didn't wait up as she lowered herself into her chair and began to dig through her Prada purse. "It'll only be a moment," she murmured, looking through the bag. Her Michael Kors jacket was draped over the back of her chair, and a flowery Chanel scent like the kind that was on her wrists filled the room. The evidence of her style was everywhere despite the original basic-ness of the room.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Lol! Cool)

Nokhal’rok chuckled at her words.

As he dressed, he listened to her foot tapping the floor. Somehow, it seemed to make him even more eager to leave. He also started daydreaming of holding O’Hara’s lovely feet and slipping a pair of new heels on them. Oh, would that be a wonderful moment.

“Quite,”he replied, even though O’Hara had already headed away.

He easily followed her, very happy to be out of the hospital bed. As she headed to her office, Nokhal’rok looked around, a bit fascinated by seeing more than he usually would of a hospital. He then patiently and politely waited outside of O’Hara’s office, eyeing everything with interest. He loved how her style seemed to brighten the blandness of the room.

As he waited, he picked up a familiar scent. He inhaled slowly, studying the perfume smell. It was the same one O’Hara was wearing, and he was sure he’d smelled it before somewhere.

“Chanel perfume… I thought I recognized it. I just couldn’t think of it until now. Quite lovely,”he purred after a bit.

@emilyevewrites group

O'Hara glanced up from digging through her bag to see Nokhal'rok waiting just outside her door. "You can come in," she offered, sounding slightly bemused at his politeness. Though it was nice. Most people never even knocked, mainly Jackie.

And then again, he surprised her. "Coco Mademoiselle," she filled in the specific name, her expression reflecting her shock openly. "You're familiar with Chanel perfumes?" O'Hara studied him intently. "I've never met a man who could tell me the brand of the perfume I'm wearing."

Her checkbook was now in her hand, and she set it down on her desk before rising to her feet and walking over to him. "Close the door behind you," she instructed quietly.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nokhal’rok politely shrugged, then stepped into the office. The perfume seemed to engulf him, and he inwardly savored it.

He smiled softly at the name, somewhat amused by her shock. He then chuckled at her words.

“Fashion is my business, and my life. I have always done my best to know both men’s and women’s fashion, including perfumes. I may not always be able to tell the exact perfume, but I can tell the brand,”he replied, his soft smile lingering.

Curiosity and mild confusion lit in his eyes, but he closed the door nonetheless. He then watched her, wondering what she was planning to do. Part of him was actually eager to find out.

@emilyevewrites group

O'Hara listened to his words, and despite herself, she was only becoming more and more intrigued by this man. He was so unlike anyone else in her life. He knew fashion, he had respect for her… It was all she could do to keep from pinning him against the wall of her office and kissing him outright.

Instead, she managed to restrain herself. She didn't want to force herself on him, especially not at work, where someone could easily walk in on them. So she settled for standing in front of him and arching her eyebrows while flickering her gaze down to his lips and back up again.

"How interesting," she murmured. "I myself am also dedicated to fashion if you haven't already been able to tell. I hope that our shopping trip proves to be… invaluable."

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

She wanted to kiss him. Nokhal’rok could tell just by her look. And, part of him, that eager part that didn’t care that his nose had been broken and fixed earlier, really wanted to kiss her as well. And, if it wasn’t for his nose, he probably would’ve kissed her already. She was a very beautiful woman, and one that shared his interest in fashion. It was a rare thing for him to find a woman like that.

“So do I,”he purred.

His back was already facing the door, and if O’Hara really wanted to, he wouldn’t fight her if she jumped on him and locked their lips together. It would block the door, and potentially keep anyone from walking in on them.

Though, Nok really didn’t care if they were caught. He had money. He had prestige. And, he was already a rogue. Whatever happened, he would make sure O’Hara was taken care of. And, that was just out of thanks for her help earlier.

@emilyevewrites group

O'Hara's razor-thin wire of control snapped at the tone of his voice and the look in his eyes. He was looking at her… like he wanted to kiss her too. Well, one of them had to be bold enough to initiate it, and O'Hara was just about as bold as they come.

She didn't care much about being caught… if it was the right person who caught them. O'Hara didn't give two fucks if Jackie would've walked in, but if it would be Cruz or Akalitus or Coop? God, she'd never hear the end of it. So she figured a precaution seemed to be in order, just in case.

In one smooth motion, she reached behind Nokhal'rok and twisted the lock on the doorknob until it clicked before pushing him back against the door and kissing him deeply. Both of her hands moved to grip his clothing to force his back into the door even more while her rouge lips claimed his.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nokhal’rok watched her, the eagerness in his eyes growing as she locked the door. He then grunted as his back met the door, before passionately kissing her back. He moaned as her hands pushed him back even more.

His hands moved to her waist and back, sliding them along her clothes, squeezing her waist. Goodness, he loved the feel of a gorgeous woman in his arms, particularly when she had nice clothes.

“I don’t curse much, but damn, you’re sexy,”Nok mumbled against her lips.

He couldn’t help it. She was. And, her kiss was only tempting him to take things further. He was trying to hold back, to behave after a freshly broken nose, but her perfume was surrounding him and her lips were intoxicating. Damn it, he was torn between behaving or not behaving, and he usually chose the latter.

@emilyevewrites group

His grunt made O'Hara smirk and grip his clothes tighter. He'd only just gotten dressed, but already she wanted to tear his clothes right off of him. And his moan made her just about lose it.

O'Hara gave a longing moan in return as his hands slid down her body and squeezed her waist. She almost pushed her hips against his at the provocative touch, but she held herself back. However, her moans faded into an amused laugh as she drew their mouths apart for a moment so she could speak.

"I can tell," she remarked, catching her breath already. "But fuck, so are you. I curse a shitton. I hope you don’t mind."

With that, O'Hara leaned back in, careful of his still-healing nose, and kissed him deeply. She spread her lips and attempted to slide her tongue into his mouth to deepen it further. They couldn't go much further here in her office, but there was always time after their shopping trip…

Perhaps they could return to her hotel room so she could try on everything that he would buy her. Though she definitely had the money to afford whatever she wanted, she would never say no to a man who wanted to spend his money on her.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

That moan of hers was intoxicating. He knew, just by the sound, that she was holding herself back. Just like he was. Goodness, he really wanted to go further, to see how wild O’Hara was. But, he fought hard to keep himself in check. It was the wrong place, the wrong time. But, part of him, a big part, didn’t care.

He snickered when she laughed, having a slightly harder time catching his breath. He then laughed at her words.

“I don’t mind at all. And, I’d even say that it makes you that much more enticing,”he replied.

He kissed her back, willingly parting his lips to let her tongue through. He then eagerly slipped his into her mouth. It was the closest thing he would get to her, for now, and he wanted to take complete advantage of the moment.

Though, after a bit, he leaned away slightly. He didn’t want to, but if he didn’t, then he wouldn’t stop.

“We might need to get out of here before I lay you across your desk and kiss every inch of you,”he breathed with a snicker.

@emilyevewrites group

"Good," O'Hara mumbled into his mouth before letting her tongue loose to completely taste him. But then his tongue pushed into her mouth. God, he was driving her crazy. It took everything in her not to go wild and rip off her blouse for him then and there.

She had to catch her breath when he pulled back, but his words only made her whine desperately. "Why bloody can't you?" she moaned, panting for air and gripping his clothes tighter. "I want nothing more."

O'Hara was so close to doing something that neither of them would be able to come back from when someone tried to the doorknob. Finding it was locked, there was a knock on the door within seconds.

"O'Hara?" Jackie's voice called. "I know you're in there I just heard you. Why's your damn door locked?"

The doctor closed her eyes and exhaled longingly. "Fuck," she whispered. "Jackie." She reluctantly released Nokhal'rok's clothes from her tight grip, took a step back, and motioned to the two leather chairs on the opposite side of her desk. "Go sit down."

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nokhal’rok chuckled at her whine, but her words, her grip… Nok was a man of great self-control… when he wanted to be, at least… but when someone clearly stated how much they wanted him, that was where he broke.

The intensity of his eyes doubled, a wild gleam blazing to life. His grip tightened slightly, becoming more purposeful, preparing to simply lift her into his arms so he could carry to the desk and lavish her body with kisses and caresses. Until someone knocked on the door.

He noticeably flinched, startled by the sudden interruption. Then, he almost, almost, burst into a fit of raucous laughter when he heard Jackie. He did start chuckling though. It was all he could do. He couldn’t let himself loose without dire consequences now, but nor could he just lock it back up in an instant. There was no way. So, he laughed as loud as he dared, which was barely a sound currently, and prayed there would be another opportunity soon. Otherwise, he might have to throw propriety to the wind.

He heard O’Hara’s yearning exhale, agreeing wholeheartedly, then chuckled at her words. He let go of her when she released him, then sighed as she motioned to the chairs. But, as he moved to the chairs, he paused and leaned down close to her so his mouth was right next to her ear.

“Saved by the knock. But, that won’t stop me next time,”he teased. He then couldn’t resist a tiny nip on her ear before he finally sat down.

He took a quick moment to straighten himself, then he crossed his legs and rested an arm on his lap, subtly disguising a certain clue to what had been about to happen. He then cleared his throat and chuckled some more, his eyes bright with amusement as he leaned on his other arm to watch the door. Though, he shot a quick glance to O’Hara to show his inner turmoil, the bonfire of need in him that had only just begun, before hiding it behind the wall of amusement again.

@emilyevewrites group

(O'Hara's current outfit, by the way… Outfit Reference 1, Outfit Reference 2, Outfit Reference 3, Outfit Reference 4, Outfit Reference 5, Outfit Reference 6)
(And sorry this is so long 😅)

O'Hara immediately regretted pulling away when she saw the lustful gleam in his eyes and felt his grip on her waist tighten. Fuck, she thought, slightly angry at Jackie, even though the other woman technically did nothing wrong.

She smirked in amusement as Nok chuckled quietly though. Her thought process was incredibly similar to his, as she was still very turned on. They needed to get out and either into his limo or her town car as soon as possible so they could continue their little makeout session and perhaps take it further…

O'Hara was about to reach for the door handle and unlock it, but Nok's pause in movement immediately stilled her. Her breath hitched as his lips ended up directly beside her ear. Dear God. Don't lose it now, she told herself, biting her lip to keep from moaning. "I expect nothing less," she breathed, gasping softly at his teeth nipping her earlobe. Not many could out-seduce Eleanor O’Hara, but the doctor may have finally met her match.

O'Hara turned to gaze at him, her desire clearly visible in her eyes as she studied him. She noted his distinctive motions and the fiery hunger behind his eyes, and she narrowed her gaze slightly. Fucking tease.

She turned back around and forced herself to tone down her pining for the man behind her as she unlocked and opened the door. "Jacks, good. How do you want to do this?"

Jackie frowned, noting Nokhal'rok lounging casually in one of O'Hara's chairs. "Do what? I'm just looking for a quiet place to sit down."

"The money," O'Hara said as if it were obvious. She headed back to her checkbook and sat behind her desk while Jackie headed for the chair that wasn't otherwise occupied. "I can either pay the school directly or would you prefer it if I just send you a check?"

"I don't know. Would that be weird, me just getting a big check?" Jackie asked, casting a hesitant look at Nokhal'rok.

O'Hara scrunched her nose thoughtfully, then selected a pen from a cup by the corner of her desk. "It's not a sweepstakes. It's a normal-size check for an amount that won't make me think twice."

Jackie opened her mouth to say something, but the nurse seemed to think better of it. She closed her mouth and glanced down at her hands, which were fidgeting in her lap. O'Hara glanced up, noted the motion with veiled worry, and went back to writing the check. The pair began to converse easily as if Nokhal'rok wasn't even there. "Have you eaten?" O'Hara asked casually.

The nurse looked up in thought. "Coffee, banana, Vicodin."

O'Hara arched an eyebrow. "Breakfast of champions. Meanwhile, please step away from the gurney transfers and the heavy lifting. You have Thor, he's a giant. Use him." She ripped the check out and flapped it through the air a few times. "And for the love of all that's good and holy, get an MRI."

"I almost don't want to see the damage," Jackie responded tiredly.

O'Hara languidly held the check out to her friend, but when Jackie reached for it, the doctor lifted the paper back with a teasing smile. The smile played across her face for a second longer before she extended it back out and Jackie snatched it from her grasp. "Closer to godmother by the second," O'Hara sang.

"Okay, you know what? We can't exactly rechristen the girls," Jackie replied, looking down at the check before quickly lifting her eyes to O'Hara again and quickly adding, "Not that you would not be great at it."

O'Hara held her hands up with eyes lit up. "I know. I know. But if you and Kevin die in a fiery plane crash-" she dropped her pen back into the cup and nodded with a firm certainty "-they will be mine."

Jackie rolled her eyes. "We don't get away very much."

"So let me pay for a trip!" O'Hara exclaimed, leaning back in her chair and propping her hands up behind her head. The doctor sat back upright in a swift motion and tilted her head to indicate Nok, just remembering he was still in the room. "It turns out Nokhal'rok has just as much of a fashion sense as I do. We're going to head out shopping."

Jackie didn't look too surprised as she tucked the check into the pocket of her scrubs. "Oh good. Someone else to take you to stores where a pile of shirts costs half the year's rent."

O'Hara frowned slightly and cut her eyes at the other woman. "If you don't want to come with me when I ask, then don't say, 'Sure, I'll go,'" she quipped.

"I'm sorry, but I could never wear anything that costs 100 times as much as the tap class Grace and I were kicked out of last week," Jackie replied, standing up. "You two have fun though." She left easily, shutting the door behind her, and O'Hara's overwhelming need for the man on the other side of her desk came rushing back in a single gaze.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Cool)
(It’s fine, lol!)

Nokhal’rok grinned at her look, and it widened when her eyes narrowed. He then watched her before she opened the door, before turning to gaze at Jackie. If he kept staring at O’Hara, it would be obvious his intentions.

He listened quietly, but otherwise stayed out of the conversation. He didn’t want to intrude anymore than he already seemed to be, with Jackie at least. He then noticed how the conversation drifted into more casual talk. A small, appreciative smile appeared on his face. It was good that O’Hara had such a close friend.

When O’Hara mentioned him, he nodded a polite greeting to Jackie, chuckling in amusement at O’Hara’s words and Jackie’s reply. This was the kind of banter he was more accustomed to. O’Hara’s quip momentarily concerned him though, until Jackie mentioned her less expensive style. What a relief! He wanted O’Hara all to himself.

He watched Jackie leave, then his eyes immediately shot to O’Hara, meeting her needy gaze with one of his own. He waited a moment, to make sure Jackie was gone, then he stood and moved over to O’Hara. He leaned down to kiss her, but paused just before their lips touched.

“Desk? Or car?”he whispered.

@emilyevewrites group

O'Hara noted immediately how he looked at her once Jackie was gone. Shit, he might just make her soaked through before her clothes were even off.

Her eyes followed him intently as he stood and came around behind her desk. As he leaned down, she shifted herself up to meet him, but the feel of his lips didn't come. Fuck! His breath on her lips when he whispered was making her want him even more.

"I may not make it to the car," she breathed, wanting his hands on her as soon as possible. "Why can't it be both?" God, all she wanted was for Nok to bend her backward over her own desk and take her bloody now.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Nokhal’rok’s eyes never left hers as he approached her. He then grinned when she realized he wasn’t going to kiss her yet.

His grin widened at her words. He knew exactly how she felt, and he likely wouldn’t be able to walk out the door anyway without totally giving away what he wanted to do with her. Though his current pants were tailored to him, they didn’t do a good job of hiding anything at all when he was on fire.

“I was hoping you would say that,”he purred.

He then gave her a quick, passionate kiss, even biting her lip a little, before he straightened and headed to the door. He locked it like O’Hara had done earlier, checked that no one would be able to peep in on them, then moved to her desk.

He gently shifted her things to the side, making plenty of room for what he was about to do. Then, with deliberate steps, like that of a prowling lion, he moved around the desk and over to O’Hara. His eyes gazed at her with frightening intensity, just before he gracefully lifted her to her feet and gave her a deep, burning kiss.
