Shuichi nodded in response as he let Korekiyo carry him back to his bedroom. He wouldn't directly admit it, but he was enjoying his time in the other's arms for some reason. He just thought that it was nice.

“Little spoon or big spoon?” he asked softly

"Well, you seem to like to be the one holding me, and that's honestly a good thing because I've learned something new today," he said softly. "Because of you, I've learned that I just like being held, but by you precisely."

“Then I'll be the big spoon” he said softly

Shuichi nodded in response. Honestly, the thought of cuddling with Korekiyo was an incredibly nice one, one that he definitely welcomed. Cuddling with him sounded like one of the nicest things he could do at the time, so he was honestly looking forward to just cuddling with him.

Korekiyo laid them down, pulling shuichis back against his chest. Korekiyo kept giving shuichi soft kisses on his neck

Of course, the kisses kept making Shuichi blush, but he was incredibly happy as Korekiyo held him close to him. He truly did like being held by the taller male, enjoying all of their cuddles as he slowly found himself falling asleep again.

Korekiyo gently ran his fingers through shuichis hair “ sleep love, I'll wake you in a bit.” he mumbled

Shuichi nodded in response and allowed his eyes to close. It was definitely better if he got some sleep since he was exhausted from work and all that. It only took him a few more minutes to be completely asleep, seeming to be very peaceful as he slept.

Korekiyo had slowly fallen asleep as well

The next few hours passed with the two cuddling with each other and sleeping peacefully. After a few more hours passed, Shuichi woke up, and he felt a lot better than he had been most of the time. Korekiyo truly was right; all he needed was a nice break.

Korekiyo wouldn't let shuichi leave his arms “mine..” he mumbles

Shuichi honestly didn't mind that. He honestly thought that it was pretty nice, although he certainly hadn't expected to see a clingy side of Korekiyo that day. He didn't mind it, though, especially since he was enjoying the cuddles.

“I love you..”

Shuichi smiled softly in response to the statement. Honestly, he was pretty happy to hear Korekiyo say that he loved him, as he honestly felt the same way. Of course, he had made that pretty obvious by then, but it was always going to be true.

"I love you too," he responded softly after a moment.

Korekiyo chuckled, kissing the others neck gently

Shuichi couldn't help but blush a bit at the kiss, but he was honestly happy with the other. He was glad to have Korekiyo in his life, all things considered. The other made him incredibly happy, so he enjoyed being around him most of the time.

“We should get something done darling”

Shuichi nodded in response. As nice as cuddling with Korekiyo was, there were still things that needed to be done, so they couldn't just stay there forever, even with how nice it was and how much both of them enjoyed it.

"Yeah, we do need to get something done," he agreed, "but what?"

“He can go to the scene or I can and you can get the files from the office (time for drama)

Shuichi nodded in response to the idea. It was a pretty good idea for them to get back to solving the case and all that. He sighed softly to himself as he realized that the investigation probably didn't get very far without him. While he had ended up enjoying the break that he took, he wasn't sure if he should really take one again soon.

"Alright. If you wanna head back to the scene, perfect," he responded softly. "I'll go get some of the files, and then we can meet up, alright?"

“Alright,”
After korekiyo had been at the scene, he started looking around “..?”

While Korekiyo was investigating the scene, the murderer returned to see the detective quietly looking around. He decided that he was going to get his revenge on him for trying to solve the crime, so he shot him a couple of times from the shadows before disappearing.

Korekiyo felt the bullets pierce his back, and blood immediately rush his throat as he coughed it up. The gentle giant dropped to a knee “ ah..”

Shuichi kept texting Korekiyo as he was walking back to the scene with the files. He was worried because of the lack of response, so he eventually began running back towards the scene. Once he saw Korekiyo on the ground, he rushed to his side.

"Korekiyo!" he exclaimed, worried. "What happened…?!"

“Hospital.. Please..” he yelped out, hearing a few people yell about the shooting

Shuichi nodded in response and quickly picked Korekiyo up. Luckily, the hospital wasn't incredibly far from the crime scene, so he got there pretty quickly. While trying his best to remain calm despite his anxiety, which wasn't going too well for him, he checked Korekiyo in and explained the situation. He was really worried, hoping that the other would be okay.
