Maximus shrugged.
"Everyone has a different preference I guess." He said and steered Alastor towards the doors of the stairway to the locker room and made his way halfway up the steps before plopping down and pulling out his lunch.
"We have three lunch periods, so while kids are at lunch, there are classes going on and so the stairway is always empty. Plus this isn't the main stairway, just the one to the locker room and there's no gym classes after third period, but they leave the locker rooms unlocked for the athletes." He explained.
(just slacking around the house, I'll be less active until I get ungrounded)
"really?" He asked and smiled "seems like a nice hang out, I'm surprised there isn't more people here then.." he said and looked around. Alastor was wondered by how well the school was kept in shape
Maximus shrugged.
"Usually because people think it's weird to eat lunch in the locker room stairwell and prefer the cafeteria, with other people." He explained and gave a small smirk. "I, on the other hand, do not."
" I'm glad you don't" he said softly " they get too loud, and me and sound doesn't work to well" alastor mumbled
The blue haired boy pulled out some snacks and ate them peacefully
Maximus smiled politely and dug into his lunchbox.
He began to eat the bag of popcorn and finally broke the silence when he was done with the popcorn and moved onto his fruit snacks.
"So why'd you move here, of all places?" He asked curiously.
“Just.. Problems.. “ he said and lowered his head. Some scars become visible on his neck “ the gay kid isn't always the most liked person in the world..”
Maximus nodded understandingly.
"I don't think you'll have a problem with that here," he told Alastor, taking a ziploc bag of white cheddar cheese out and beginning to eat them. "We even have a GSA here, they meet every Thursday after school until like 4:30."
“Wow, this school has everything,” he said and chuckled, Alastor hadn't noticed it, but his face had flushed as he admired the other's features silently
Maximus bobbed his head in a nod as he ate.
"Yeah, I went to every meeting like my freshman year, but the crowd just isn't for me." He said and smiled. "But you could go, I would go with you, so you're not alone."
“ That would be nice,” he mumbled. The blue-haired boy pulled a small bag of chips from his pocket and snacked on those for a moment. “ so you’re?….” Alastor had to think about how to put it. “ so you're apart of lgbtq?”
Maximus nodded and smiled very softly.
"Yeah," he said between chews "i'm pansexual."
“I'm just gay,” he said and laughed. His hair fell into his face. His smile was something of a sun ray. He had sharper canines than most, but it fits his crazy style
"Cool," Maximus said flatly and began to eat again, this time faster as they were getting closer to the end of the lunch period. "so you're in my IB art class, so we go back to art after this, it lasts two class periods for us IB kids."
“Sounds awesome!” he said and stood up “sitting by me again?” he asked softly. Alastor pulled out his phone to check the time and sighed
Maximus stood up too, continuing to eat his food as he began to make his way towards the art room, which was on the other side of the school, again.
"Yeah, I have no choice." Maximus replied and swallowed. "We have assigned seats."
“Oh, huh, I guess I didn't pay that much attention..” he said and rubbed his neck. “So you holding hands with anyone?” alastor asked a little to casually.
Maximus shook his head and smiled.
"If you're trying to ask if I'm dating, then no." He supplied and began to turn around and walk backwards facing Alastor, careful to not bump into anyone.
"What about you? Any flings where you used to live?" He asked, smirking.
Alastor chuckled and lowered his head slightly. The flush on his face was dark. “ one, but we split up when I moved. He said he couldn't do long distances.” he said and held his wrist to keep himself from picking at his nails.
“ I haven't really thought much more about it till today “
Maximus nodded in a goofy way.
"I get that, I mean no one really likes thinking about their past relationships and ex's." He said with a small smile as he walked down the hall.
Alastor sighed “enough about me, what about you? Hmm? What's your life like?” he asked. Alastor yawned softly as he looked at the opened doors. Lots of students..
Maximus pushed through the students and made his way into the first art classroom, where he made his way to the back and sat in his seat.
"What about me?" He asked, raising a singular eyebrow.
“What's your life like? Do you live with family or friends?” he asked, tilting his head slightly as he sat down. Alastor got his sketchbook out. It was some realistic, some mythical and drawings of a little bit of everything
Maximus too, got his sketchbook out, going up to the left of the classroom and getting the oil pastels back out and bringing them back to his seat and sitting down again.
He opened them and turned to the page of the astronaut and rolled his long sleeves up.
"I live with both my parents," he told Alastor, not looking at him because he was focused on his sketch, which was about finished, it just lacked highlights and shadows. "They're not very friendly with each other, but they aren't divorced either."
He paused and added a highlight to the glass part of the astronauts suit.
"My life is pretty uneventful, I go to high school, I work part time at a small bookstore and I have depression, but then again, who doesn't anymore?" he went on.
“Are you open to letting someone make your life filled with fun?” Alastor asked dangerously. He had a soft smirk as he looked at the dance posters for the homecoming dance
Maximus shrugged and added the shadow behind the astronaut.
"Yeah, sure why not." He said absentmindedly "I could use some fun in my life."
“ then let's go to the dance tomorrow.” he offered quietly. He held his hand out in the hope that the other would agree “just us.”
Maximus placed his hand in Alastors and shook it briefly before pulling his hand away.
"Sure." He said and smiled softly.
