Jona chuckles.

"The sushi is mine, as well as the white rice and wasabi. The rest is yours. We share the crab rangoons."

"Thanks for bringing it you didn't have too ya know? "

Jona shrugs. "I wanted to. Don't worry about it."

It waits until Eve is done eating to start speaking.

"So. Would you like to know why you need to be inside after nine?"

"Yes I would like to know what you meant by a few things… " she said cautiously as she looked up at jona making her self comfortable in her chair

"There's a murderer on the loose. Actuall, for the past four and a half centuries, there've been a string of very grisly murders. That's why the housing is so cheap." Jona sighs.

" Wait your kidding right why didn't I hear that??" The look on her face showed her fear instantly as she stared at jona

"One word: money. You really think this town can afford to lose people? That's part of why the housing is so cheap." Jona says seriously.

"Jesus Christ what the hell is wrong with people… "

Jona shrugs.

"No damn clue. The worst part? They clean the bloodstains and just resell the house immediately."

"How has it been going on this long? '

"As I said earlier: four and a half centuries."

"Yes but how?""

Jona shrugs, finishing its meal.

"Hell if I know."

"This is so weird just when I thought I was going to do fine here… "

Jona chuckles.

"You will. Just don't get careless and you'll do fine."

"I suppose no more walking around at night correct? "

"Not without company, at least." Jona grins.

"So what exactly happens if I'm alone at night? "

"Usually nothing. But if the murderer gets you. . . you'd better pray to whatever god you believe in that you die quickly. Because once the murderer gets you?"

It snaps its fingers.

"Game over."

Eve jumped a bit at how he stated that and nodded "o-okay got it no outside time alone at night ever"

Jona laughs softly.

"I'm not really trying to scare you, Eve. I just want you to understand."

"I-i know… Thank you it just how could someone do such a thing.. "

Jona shrugs.

"I truly don't know."

But through all of this, Jona doesn't mention that it doesn't matter if you were inside or outside. You'd get murdered either way.

Even sat there quiet for a moment before speaking "what time should you leave I'm not sure what time it is.."

Jona thinks for a moment then curses in what sounds like Norwegian. After a moment it flushes, looking embarrased at its outburst.

"Sorry. But, uh, I'm going to have to stay here tonight. I live on the other side of the city."

(Omg you wrong for that 🤣)

"Oh um.. Okay I have a spare bedroom but there's no bed yet… You can claim the couch for the night though if that's alright? "

Jona looks sheepish.

"Sorry, Eve. I didn't mean to stay for so long."

"Oh no it's okay I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I sent you out there and something bad happened to you"

Jona inclines its head gratefully.

"Well, thank you."

"Of course there's an Accent blanket on the edge of the couch in the living room you can use and the throw pillows… I'm sorry I'm not really prepared for guests. "
