Talon’s head bopping slowed as the girl approached, and he looked up. “Oh, hey. You’re cute,” he said. “How we doin’ today?” Taking the items, he quickly and efficiently scanned and bagged them. Looking at the small computer on the counter, he said, “That’ll be twelve dollars and sixty-seven cents, ma’am.”
She twitched slightly when she heard talon say she was cute, she glared at him. She grabbed his hand, and pulled him from behind the counter twisting around and slamming him on the ground.
"Don't call me cute!" She yelled at him, before gasping. She slammed the money on the counter and left the store with her stuff.
can't go back there..
He paused, caught by the glare on the girl’s expression. Before he even realized that the glare was a warning if what was to come, she had grabbed his hand. Talon cried out. Before he knew it, he was one the ground, his arm and gut throbbing in pain. And before he could say or do anything, the girl was gone too. At least she paid before she left.
Slowly he got up, groaning. Should I… call the police and report an assault? he wondered.
maybe I should make am apology.. She thought to herself as she went into a gym to start training for the day.
She set down her stuff in her locker before changing into exercise clothes.
She went to the punching bag area.
Ultimately, Talon did not call the police. To be honest, he had no idea what happened. She just didn’t like to be called cute, or so he guessed. Her actions seemed very reactionary, and maybe she actually didn’t mean to hurt him. And besides, once the pain from the bruises went away, Talon nearly forgot all about the incident and went on with his shift.
(Time skip to when they actually meet up again)
(?)
(Yeah lol)
(Lol how do we wanna start this?)
(Hhhhhhhhh)
(Uh maybe Talon’s brothers drag him to one of Toshiaki’s matches lol)
(Lol okay)
(I can set up a match)
(Nice)
Well when the two brothers walked into the ring they would see this short girl with her hair up, boxing gloves on her hands almost bigger then her face but still small compared to normal size.
Her opponent was some middle aged guy, he grinned at her as he looked down on her. She was anything but grinning. She was glaring him down as the referee made the motion for them to start.
They touched gloves and then the guy moved out of the way.
She moved to circle him, he did the same. Almost mimicking her movements.
They circle for a while before the guy charges forward, and she moves out of the way of the charge, pushing his fist away from her face with her wrist.
She moves forward, slamming her fist into his gut.
The guy heaves out, stumbling forward and leaning against the ropes.
He quickly turns to charge at her, starting to loose his cocky attitude.
She dodges a couple more times before uppercutting him and throwing a punch to the side and sending him stumbling.
The two young men darted into the arena, looks of eagerness and excitement on their faces. Quickly though, it turned into impatience. One of them turned around, to the doors they had just come in through.
“Talon,” he said. “Hurry up! It’s literally starting right now!”
“Alright, alright!” Talon made his way through, most of his attention on the phone in his hand. He followed his brothers to their seats, putting his phone in his pocket and excusing himself to people who were in his way. He was forced to sit right between them, Kato, the pink-haired one, on his left and Micah, the one with bleached hair, on his right. A little annoyed and more than a little bored, Talon sighed and looked towards the ring. He blinked when he spotted the girl boxer. Could she be…?
The girl seemed to be using the middle aged man's height and weight against him. That along with the fact that he wasn't really doing much but charging and throwing random swings.
The guy shook his head and realized he needed to actually think, but the time he took think out a strategy she had swept him off his feet and grabbed his arm pinning him down on the ground.
The referee gave out the count, and struggle as he might he couldn't get free.
Eventually the match was called and the round was over.
She had won the match.
The next two rounds were just as promising. She hardly let him get any leeway in and eventually she was getting her hand held up in victory by the announcer.
She dispeared into the backroom.
Despite being convinced that he would be bored the whole time, Talon’s eyes were completely fixed on the match. Was that really her? It couldn’t be, but even from a distance, he could see she had the same face and build as the girl who came into the store a couple of days ago and absolutely kicked his butt. Actually, it would make a lot of sense if she was a boxer.
When she was announced the victor, Talon finally murmured to Kato, “I think I know her. She came into the store a couple of days ago.”
His brother swiveled his head around. “Seriously? Wow, what if you went and got her attention? Say hi? You think she’d remember you?”
Something inside him that had been churning the whole match finally settled. “I’m about to find out.”
“Wh— Talon?” Kato watched as he got up and went down the steps, in the direction of the door he saw the girl disappear into.
The door was left unguarded at the moment as the bouncers for it were dealing with someone else near the front of the area away from where talon was heading.
He could just..go in if he wanted.
Toshi was just grabbing her stuff out of the locker and grabbing her bag when slinging the towel around her neck after wiping off her sweat.
Seeing the door was not manned by any personnel, Talon got a little nervous. He didn’t want to just go in, but he also didn’t want to look sketchy by just standing there. He decided to take a look inside to just make sure that he didn’t mistake the girl boxer for someone else.
He could see her slinging the towel around her neck. She looked… really pretty, even though she had just finished a match. Actually, especially because she had just finished a match. Talon quickly recognized her, and leaned away from the door. He waited, still a little nervous.
She looked at the door, having a feeling of being watched from behind but when she turned she didn't see anyone. She shook her head, chalking it up to be paranoid.
She moved to head out from the where the door was, where talon was.
She walked out and noticed talon, not recognizing him at first.
When she came out, Talon raised a hand in greeting. “Ah, hey, Miss Nishioka? Congrats on your win. I don’t mean to disturb you, but I believe you came to my store the other day? Just wanted to say hi, and I apologize if I said anything that made you use those intense moves on me.” He rubbed his neck nervously, but smiled amiably.
She looked up at him, raising a brow. Her eyes widened as she heard the last part of her sentence before looking away.
"It's fine, I'm sorry I slammed you into the ground. Just don't call me cute got it?" She huffed at him as she crossed her arms.
Oh, so that’s what it was. “Got it. My bad, I didn’t mean any ill intent by it, you know. Um, anyway thank you for your time, Miss Nishioka. Have a good day.”
He turned and started walking away, hoping no security personnel had spotted him or anything.
She held onto her bag strap before moving to walk aside him, "like I said, it's fine. I'm walking this way anyway so I might as well walk aside you." She spoke, looking away as she walked with him. She exhaled as she walked.
“Oh, really?” His eyes widened, not really expecting her to come with him. “Alright, if you’re comfortable.”
He couldn’t see his brothers waiting in the arena, so they must be outside. Talon checked his phone for the time, then awkwardly looked between Miss Nishioka and in front of him.
She just kinda walked next to him, occasionally taking a drinking out of her water bottle and checking her phone, texting out messages that talon couldn't really see, he wouldn't know them even if he could though.
"Like I said, it's fine."
Talon just nodded, leaving them in awkward silence. When they came outside, he quickly found his brothers and went over to them. “Um, feel free to stop by the store again!” He said, waving to her. His brothers’ jaws were on the floor when they realized who he was talking to.
She waved back to him, before heading a different direction out of the place. She moved to go to her car, and drive away from the place to her house.
