Logan spent the remainder of the night working on all of his projects, working even harder than before as he felt the need to make up for lost time.
Logan spent the remainder of the night working on all of his projects, working even harder than before as he felt the need to make up for lost time.
The next morning, Virgil walked over to Logan’s room…even though he was half-asleep. “Lo?” he yawned, knocking on the door. “Lo, wake up…”
Logan was focused on his work, not even hearing the other knocking on his bedroom door. He could be heard muttering to himself about his work, though.
Virgil frowned, opening the door a little. “…Logan?” he asked quietly, not peeking into the room.
Logan had yet to respond to the other, continuing with his work. He hadn't even heard the other, focused on the work, stressed from everything and exhausted from another sleepless night filled with nothing but stress and work.
Virgil slowly came into the room, his eyes widening when he noticed Logan working again. “Lo…”
Logan finally acknowledged the other's presence once he entered the room. He turned to face the other, forcing himself to stay awake.
"Virgil…" he sighed. "I promise I tried to sleep… I just couldn't…"
Virgil walked over to Logan, gently grabbing his hand. “Hey…I know how that feels…” he murmured. “Do you want me to stay in here with you? That seemed to help last time…”
Logan nodded, then sighing. "I really do wish I could've gotten some sleep last night…" he yawned. "I'm so tired… I wish I didn't have to be, but I really couldn't get myself to sleep last night…"
Virgil nodded, squeezing Logan’s hand. “You really need a break…”
"I know I do, but I really don't know how to actually take a break… I tried, but as soon as you left, I found it impossible…."
Virgil hummed, leading Logan over to the bed. “That’s odd…”
Logan nodded as he sat down on his bed. "It's incredibly odd… I don't understand why I can sleep when you're around but it's impossible when you're not…"
Virgil shrugged. “I don’t know either, but if me being here helps, then…I don’t see anything wrong with me staying in here for a while.”
"Well, if you're willing to stay in here with me for a while, then I'd appreciate it…" Logan told him. "I know I need to sleep… I'm exhausted, and I know that…"
Virgil nodded, hugging Logan gently. “I know…that’s why I’m here. I’m here to help you…”
Logan hugged the other back. "Again, I appreciate it…" he yawned. "I need to get some sleep…."
Virgil nodded, laying down with Logan. “I’m right here if you need me…”
"I will definitely inform you if I need anything. At the moment, I just need you to stay in here so I actually get some sleep…"
Virgil nodded, leaning into Logan. I hope this helps…I hate that he can’t sleep very well… he thought, worried about the other.
Logan noticed the other was worried about him. "I'm aware that you're worried about me, but I would like to assure you that I will be just fine. Yes, this situation is strange, but I will be perfectly fine."
Virgil sighed softly. “I know…I just…” he trailed off.
"I know you can't help it, as it is your job, but I have to assure you because it's getting to an excessive extent…" Logan sighed. "Also, you trailed off just now. Is everything okay?"
Virgil nodded hesitantly. “Yeah, it’s just…you can’t keep overworking yourself, Logan…” he mumbled.
"I know, and I'm trying to work on that…" he said, looking away. "However, it seems rather impossible at the moment. I tried to care for myself last night, but I just couldn't. I'm simply that used to overworking myself to that extent…"
Virgil sighed, hugging Logan tighter. “…I know…”
"However, despite all of my knowledge, I truly don't know how to get myself back on track. I've been doing this for far too long…"
“You have. We need to figure out a way to stop this…”
"We definitely need to, but I am out of ideas… I've never had to deal with something like this before…"
Virgil nodded. “But first…you should sleep…” he mumbled.
