kane chuckled, " id do it again even if your answer was yes," he said and smiled again.

Anna grinned back. "Alright then. Yes."

Kane chuckled, doing just that. he nipped her lip softly, pulling back when the waiter started on her way there

Anna smiled shyly and glanced over at the waitress as she set their drinks down.

"Have you two decided on anything yet?" Katie asked, glancing between them.

" i'll have the usual. anna?" he asked and looked over to her

"I'll have the same," she remarked, smiling faintly.

Katie nodded and jotted it down. "It'll be right out for you, Mr. [whatever his last name is]."

kane smiled " so any plans after work?"

Anna sipped from her water, swallowed, and shook her head. "No, nothing at all. What about you?"

"noda. " he said and smiled " wanna watch a movie?"

Anna blushed a bit. "At… your house?" she asked quietly.

"yeah, " he said and smiled

Anna nodded slowly. "Alright… it sounds like fun. What movie were you thinking?"

" mm i like 50 shades buut id let you pick"

Anna shook her head. "No, that's fine. I'll watch that." The plot of the movie went over her head as she absently agreed while glancing at her phone to check a work email that had come in.

"hey no work shortshit"

Anna's eyes widened. "It's urgent," she protested.

"how so?"

"It's about the report I wrote for you," Anna murmured, her eyes scanning over the email. "It needs to be turned in sooner than expected. I'm glad I finished it today, then…"

"yeah," he chuckled and pulled her closer. his eyes darted to her lips for a moment before clearing his throat

Anna gasped softly. "Mr. Serberous…" she whispered, gazing up at him with wide, dark brown eyes.

"can i just clear my schedule and take you home now?"

Anna blinked rapidly, and her heart began to race. "You have two other meetings today," she reminded him quietly.

"they're not that important though.. just check ins. they can wait till tomorrow."

"You're sure?" Anna asked. "I can reschedule them for you then, if you like."

" yeah, thank you," he said and smiled. he got their food to go and stood up, waiting for her

Anna blushed and slipped out of her seat to stand beside him. "Are we going back to the office first?" she questioned.

" yes, both of us have to get our jackets "he seemed excited despite his migraine

Anna nodded. "Right… lead the way then," she murmured, sliding her hand into his casually.

kane flushed at the cheek but held her close, "you're so beautiful ya know?"
