yep! I'll have it up in a sec. Thx for making it.
Np! You should be able to just copy and paste
Full Name: Lumine Lemongrass
Nicknames?: Lumi, Lu, etc. He uses exclusively Nicknames (Koa wouldn't even know their full name)
Age: 20 years old
Gender/Pronouns: Demiboy, he/they
Sexuality: Homosexual
Height: 5'0
Weight: 75-80 pounds (underweight)
Notable Physical Features: Cat ears/tail (lacks human ears), Pupils that can dilate and restrict like a cat's, Green marks on cheeks
Strengths: They're very lithe/agile, quick, and a master of stealth. He's good at blending into a crowd in most circumstances, and their nimble fingers are excellent for pickpocketing. His cat-like features lend him enhanced senses, particularly hearing and night vision.
Weaknesses: He isn't very physically strong, and their small stature makes them easy to overpower in hand-to-hand combat. He's also very stubborn and lacks a proper education, so they struggle with some basic concepts.
Likes: Lumi loves things that are warm and/or soft (particularly blankets, plushies, and people). He likes attention, for sure, but at the same time doesn't often like attention being drawn to them (they much prefer the attention of one person rather than being stared at by several). Like anyone, he particularly likes when people make time to spend with him. They also love sweets and fruits (particularly oranges, lemonade, and candy of any kind).
Dislikes: They very much dislike crowds, and any bright lights or loud noises (they're more painful for him). He hates being picked on for any reason (especially for their height), but will tolerate some teasing from people he likes (as long as they're sure the person isn't serious). They tend to dislike (or at least be wary of) women, mostly due to his deep resentment for his mother for abandoning him.
Fears: Lumi is very afraid of dogs (of any size, but this fear ranges from unease and discomfort around docile, small dogs to paralyzing, panic-inducing fear of loud, large dogs). Loud noises (especially sudden ones) also scare him, and they generally startle pretty easily anyway
Magic/Powers?: Lumi's main abilities are based around his cat features. They have enhanced hearing and vision, and he can see pretty well in the dark. Their sense of smell is also heightened, and they're exceptionally agile. He can jump higher than an average person and he's also pretty good at climbing. Their abilities are helpful for getting out of dangerous situations in a pinch, since he's more flight than fight.
Other: He makes money by essentially doing shady odd jobs for some sketchy people. With no education, they don't have a lot of options, after all. Since he's not particularly strong, he mostly moves money or things of that sort. They've also been asked to steal things before.
Full Name: Koa Green-Heart
Nicknames?: Koko (only by close friends)
Age: 22
Gender/Pronouns: He/him, Male.
Sexuality: Gay
Height: 5'6
Weight: 165 lbs.
Notable Physical Features: Literally being like one fourth goat or smth, burn scars all over Koa's neck and torso, and he never wears shoes, despite having regular human feet. He says it "grounds him with nature"
Strengths: Great survival instincts, agreeable, and (mostly) kind. He also has some good offense w/ goat horns, he also sees in 360 degrees, so no one can really jump him, unless from above.
Weaknesses: Fearful, overly quiet, pretty low self confidence. If anyone tries to ask him about his past or future, he'll change the conversation topic. He's unsure about both.
Likes: Plants, especially trees, painting vast landscapes, LOVES dogs, the color green.
Dislikes: Ignorant people, large buildings, and like literally anything that can kill him.
Fears: Humanity eventually destroying the world due to greed, and all other life dying in turn causing everything to be artificial and everyone lives in a digital world, without true interaction. Oh yeah and big stuff. Like really big stuff. Like buildings, giants, or other things of the sort.
Magic/Powers?: Can communicate with some cloven-hooved animals.
Other: Always carries a stash of coins to pay his way out of bad situations.
Nice nice nice
Lumi is kind of a little feral gremlin so that could be fun 👀
Every once in a while the traumatic childhood comes back though and they would just like to be held
Where would be a good place for us to start the roleplay? I assume they're probably living together in Lumi's cheap apartment uhhh
If you want to start something you can, it's almost 1 am for me so I should probably go to bed
Yeah you're an hour ahead of me. I'll post the starter tomorrow morning/afternoon. Good Night!
Goodnight ^^
Koa sat on the floor with his nose in a book he had gotten from the local library. He was on the last chapter, so he didn't see any problem with dropping it back off that afternoon. His best friend, Lumi, was still asleep. That was understandable. It was 8 AM anyway. Koa decided to just shrug it off and finish his book.
After his book, (which he had very much enjoyed), Koa looked at the local news…in a newspaper. He still wasn't quite sure how to operate a phone. Apparently, some men in him and Lumi's age bracket had been dying unexpectedly. Again, Koa shrugged it off. He was just going to wait for Lumi to wake up, and plan the day from there.
Lumi was curled up in bed, buried in several blankets. He wasn't the best at keeping himself warm after all, and they liked blankets anyway. He yawned after a while longer and started to stir. They'd sustained a couple of injuries from their job last night, and since he'd gotten home so late, he didn't deal with them or bother to tell Koa. They supposed it was about time they did something about the injuries, so he reluctantly got up out of bed with a grimace.
After getting properly dressed, they headed out of the bedroom and greeted Koa. "Hey, do you remember where we kept those bandages and… uh… other Miscellaneous mediciney stuff?" He asked, starting to rummage through the cabinets with the arm that hurt less. He'd gotten clipped by a bullet on his left arm, and had also fallen when they'd tried to escape the situation. He wasn't particularly concerned about the injuries, although they probably should have been.
Koa nodded, grabbing a small box situated on his little half broken desk. He clicked open two basic locks and opened it. Inside, there were a few bandages and an herbal disinfectant cream. Not much, but enough for treating basic injuries. Koa handed the box to Lumi, noticing the small puncture on their arm. "Disinfect it, then bandage it." Koa said. "I can't afford many more ER trips." Koa rarely got hurt, at least far less than Lumi. That was because Koa sold artwork, and didn't commit petty crimes for a living.
"Yeah, yeah… it's not bad enough for the ER. I'll be fine." Lumi tugged up his sleeve to expose the wound on his arm. Upon further inspection, it seemed to have two puncture wounds; the bullet had properly gone through their arm, but thankfully hadn't hit anything vital. Everything important was intact. He grimaced as he carefully disinfected the wound, and then they packed it and bandaged it up firmly. "There. That should be fine for now. Nngh… I'll have to ask my boss why he didn't put enough money in the stupid case. I wouldn't have had to deal with those guys being mad if he did it right. If I question him I might get properly shot, though."
(Sorry for the late response, I just took a LONG walk)
Koa shrugged. "You can always work a job at Burger King." He had been worried about Lumi ever since he learned about their "jobs". Back where he came from, doing what Lumi did was punishable by death. Never should anyone steal, lie, and decieve for money…but what if it was to survive? Koa shook his head. He knew Lumi was a good person, and that was all he needed to know. "They're paying 12$ per hour now, and it's safer."
(Np aha)
"Mmnh… maybe, I dunno. It's hard to get a job without previous work experience, and I'm worried that they'd try and hurt me more or something if I dip." Lumi sighed, rolling their shoulder a couple of times to make sure it functioned alright. "It's not that dangerous as long as my superiors do their jobs right and make sure they're putting the right amount of money in the case." Once he was relatively confident that his arm was okay, they headed to the fridge to look for something to eat.
Koa sighed. At least Lumi was determined. That was one good thing. Noticing them going to get food, Koa looked up. "There's lemon cake. Don't eat it." Koa had gotten the cake for a holiday next week. It was only really celebrated by the tribes of the wilderness, so nowadays it was more of an excuse to waste money on lemon cake than anything. For today, though, Koa would probably paint. He needed to get something done in time for the next art show.
Lumi stuck his tongue out a bit and huffed, considering for a few seconds before they pulled out some eggs to cook for breakfast. He cracked them into a skillet and pushed them around until they were cooked, and then dumped them onto a plate. "Have you eaten already, or do you want something?" They asked as they stuck a forkful of eggs into their mouth.
Koa shook his head. "I'll eat later." He didn't have much of an issue skipping breakfast. Plus, he could grab some apples off the neighbor's tree. Another concept that was foreign to Koa was ovens. Was there a fire inside the oven? How did it heat up? Why were there knobs and numbers and buttons? Koa was glad that he lived with Lumi. They had been a part of the city for far longer than Koa. "Also, do you have any work tonight?" Koa had wanted to eat out that night, since there was a sale at one of the best ones. At the same time, they didn't want to exclude Lumi. So ideally, they wouldn't have any work that night, and they could eat good food for once.
Lumi nodded, flopping down on the couch to eat and watch some trash TV for a while. "Yeah, I've got one to do later. They want me to put a case like… just inside the doorway of this building, I think. Dunno what's in it; they usually get mad if I ask." They yawned a bit. "Shouldn't be too difficult."
Koa nodded. "That's fine. Mind if I came along? I don't usually do these." Koa, honestly, was just feeling lonely. He wanted to spend time with someone, not really caring what their doing. He threw a styrophone cup into the trashcan, missed a few inches, and the cup fell onto the floor. He would pick it up later, he thought.
"Ah, um… if you want to, I guess. Are you sure you want to?" Lumi asked, finishing up his eggs faster than he should have. "You don't normally like this kinda thing from what I remember. I don't think it'll be dangerous, but you never know. It goes south… pretty often."
Koa was sure. "Yes, I want to see how the process works." That was true, he did want to see what exactly Lumi did for a living. "Plus…I can fight." Koa spoke in a raspy voice. More than usual, at least. "I have horns and a knife. Just, don't expect this to be normal. I'm just going because this seems like a pretty safe mission."
"Um… alright, then. If you're sure." Lumi scratched behind his ears a bit, relaxing on the couch for the time being. "Well, I gotta wait until it gets dark before I can go out and do it. Not supposed to do stuff in broad daylight. Do you have any all-black outfits?" They asked. "I don't think most of my stuff would fit you."
"I have a black T-shirt…and some dark jeans…" Koa shrugged. "Are we meeting someone face-to-face? Or just dropping it off?" Koa grabbed the sequel to the book he had previously been reading. He had picked up two just in case, and luckily, that seemed to pay off. "I'll think of something."
"As far as I know, we're just dropping it off. With any luck, we shouldn't be interacting with anybody." Lumi shrugged. "Are you pretty fast in case things go south? Because if somebody does show up, we're gonna need to bolt."
Koa shrugged. "Not like a cat, but yes. Faster than a regular human." Koa was now giving half-hearted responses, mostly indulged in whatever he was reading. "I hope there's nothing illegal in there. Hopefully just money." He turned another page through the book. "Are you ever on volume 10 of a book series, then you favorite character dies and you lose interest immediately?" Koa tried to switch the conversation topic. He thought talking about the job would just create more anxiety about it.
"Well, I dunno what's in it. Hopefully just money, yeah." Lumi yawned and stretched, sprawling out on the couch. He raised an eyebrow as he listened to Koa's question; it was pretty clear they didn't relate to it. "Uh… I don't exactly know how to read much, so… not really." They laughed awkwardly. "Very minimal reading skills. Like… I can read some signs and menus, but not actual books. I guess your character died?"
Koa sighed, glad to just move away from the whole suitcase delivery thing. It was kind of a stupid question, but it worked, so that was fine. "Yeah. I may have gone a bit overboard on the English when I first got here…like studying 8 hours a day 5 days a week…for 3 years. So, uh, I can read some pretty big novels now. This one's about girl that can tell when people are going to die. It's really interesting. Her brother died of a lung disease. Shay, was it?" Koa stopped himself. "So, uh, anyway, what do you want to do until then?"
