The God of the Universe, who's name is not to be spoken by mere mortal lips, demands each year for a new spouse. It is rummered that he kills each one within days because he dislikes some part of them, for he is never seen with them afterwards despite his many trips to the mortal realm to rule.
That all changed in the last year, though. The woman who was selected has been seen with him almost every time he has come, keeping him calm and helping him care for his worlds. The sacrifice of mortals to him has not stopped, though- for now he demands a child, of any age, for him and his wife to have. They cannot conceive together, after all, with humans only reaching to the knees of the divine.

So yeah I have a very rough around the edges god who has a very sweet and quiet wife, and was wondering if anyone wanted to see them bumble their inexperienced way through a family lol

@Fraust

Yeah that's fine, they're kinda dying anyway ngl
Which one(s) we dropping?
(We shouldn't be surprised at this point sdghkl it says found family, I click)

@Fraust

Yeah I like that one anyway aha
Uhhh I like the one with Nix as well? Or at least I'm attached since it's one of our oldest
I've sort of lost interest in both the werewolf one and the one with Rowan and Matthew, so I'm willing to drop either or both

The god stood with his arms crossed, waiting. He had made his demands to the humans in front of him, golden eyes glowing faintly below lowered brow. His scowl was faint, but it wasn't hard to see on someone so large compared to mortals.
"Well? Where is the child?"
"Dear, please be patient," his wife said softly, pressing a kiss to his dark cheek. She sat on his shoulder, looking like a large doll in comparison. She smoothed her dress down, pushing her unruly thick hair back and her glass higher on her nose so she could look down.
"They've had three days to prepare one, Sarai," the god said in response. The scowl never left his face, but his tone had softened the moment his attention had turned to his wife.
"And the poor thing must be terrified, with your reputation," she chided, gently pushing his cheek away when he didn't respond.

@Fraust

(I'm gonna assume Lumi is getting kidnapped, and he'll be 8 years old and uhhh 3'6ish)

Lumi was wandering through the alleyways, foraging through the local restaurants' dumpsters to find something to eat, when he heard some strange noises. His ears perked up and he lifted his head to look around and try and find the source of the sound. They crawled out of the dumpster, brushing the debris off as they investigated. Suddenly, he found himself being grabbed from behind and they cried out in fear and anger until someone clamped their hand over his mouth. He screwed his eyes shut, terrified.

When he opened his eyes, they found themself somewhere he had never seen before. He looked around, their heart racing, and he spotted the massive god above him. He froze and went white, and within a second or two, they fell limp in their captors' grasp.

@Fraust

(I also have a picture of both of them if you'd like me to send it over discord or something lol)

(Yes yes 🕺)

"It looks more like a cat than a child." The god reached down, taking Lumi from the hold of his captors and lifting him up to examine him. His fingers kept the boy secure, but not too tight.
"Careful, dear, you're frightening the poor thing," Sarai said, tugging on her husband's ear as she spoke to him. She looked down at the boy as he was brought close, shifting so she could lean close. With the god bringing the boy closer she was able to cup his cheek in one hand, looking Lumi over.
"Hello? Are you awake, dear?" she said softly.

@Fraust

Lumi stirred with some goading and eventually opened their eyes blearily. He whined softly as he opened his eyes, looking up and seeing Sarai first. They blinked, still clearly a bit out of it and tense. He rubbed at his eyes and sat up, confused. "Where… where am I? Who are you?" They asked warily. He looked up and spotted the massive god again. He yelped and whimpered, moving backwards as his heart started to race again.

Sarai was about to respond when Lumi whimpered, not close enough to still touch him.
"Careful," the god grunted, a finger moving to keep the boy from moving back anymore. He had turned, beginning to carry the two with him away from the edge of the human world. Sarai let out a small huff, standing up with practiced ease and hiking her skirt up to jump into the hand Lumi sat on. She landed, sinking to her knees.
"Did they not tell you before bringing you?" she asked softly.

@Fraust

Lumi looked over their shoulder as he was carried away from his world, and they started to tremble a bit. Sure, he was homeless, but that world was still all they had ever known. He jumped when Sarai jumped into the god's hand, and they looked up at her meekly. At the question, he shook his head nervously and looked back over their shoulder. "N-No… I don't… where are you taking me…?"

"You're the child that the humans offered up to us," The god said, not looking down as he focused on walking.
"Amari!" Sarai called, turning to look up at the god to chide him. "Please, let me handle this." The god, who had supposedly never told a human his name, looked ashamed.
"Sorry, dear." Sarai sighed, turning back to Lumi. "You're going to be okay, dear."

@Fraust

"Offered up…?" Lumi repeated quietly, still very pale and nervous. He fidgeted with his hands a bit, their heart racing. They kept looking over their shoulder anxiously, and he wasn't entirely sure what to do. His life on earth wasn't great, of course, but this sort of thing was still very scary and shocking. Their eyes stung with tears as he looked back up at Sarai, biting his lip to keep it from quivering. "W-Why… why do you want me…? I'm not special… I'm just… I-I'm just a street rat…"

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

Street rat? That was probably why he had been chosen, then. Amari kept the thought to himself, though. By now the human world was almost gone from sight, the god walking through what looked like thin air. They were surrounded by golden-hued clouds, Amari and Sarai fitting right in with their robes.
"Now, there is plenty that is special about you," Sarai said softly, moving to sit at Lumi's side. She offered her arms to hug him, offering a small smile.

@Fraust

Lumi was visibly trembling by now, and his chest and throat felt very tight and uncomfortable. They rubbed at their eyes, and he hiccuped weakly, looking around until he noticed Sarai holding her arms open for them. He seemed confused and tentative at first; after all, they'd been on their own for a long time, and he was really touch starved. He couldn't remember ever having been hugged before. They hesitated before moving a bit closer, and paused once more until he eventually accepted the hug and buried their face in Sarai's shoulder.

Sarai pulled Lumi close, arms wrapping around him as she patted their back.
"You're going to be okay, dear," she murmured. She didn't let Lumi go as Amari continued to walk, looking up at her husband's face. He was watching them, thinking. He had hoped the humans would choose someone younger, or perhaps even willing to come, but was unsurprised they had taken a boy who didn't have anyone to care for them. It was always the same.
"We're almost home," the god announced, looking away from the two.
