Easton didn't want to move away from Abrose, so instead, he yelled, "Come in! I wonder who it could be I barely remember anything from last night…" he mumbled. Easton gave Abrose butterfly kisses all over his features.
Nick nodded. "I hope I can get some rest too. These two love birds won't stop kissing each other. I hate that I can hear what goes on every second of the day." He growled. "Even for a fae, the tray is heavy huh. I could've taken it for you if that was the case." Nick opened the door after he got permission, letting Mel go in first.
"Oh, Nick hey…I'm happy you're okay. I didn't know that Mel went and got you. I would've said hi when you got in, but I passed out. You're not hurt right?" Easton moved away from Abrose, but not before giving him a peck on the cheek. "It's so good to see you. Thank you for helping us." Easton looked over to Mel. Thank you as well."
Abrose giggled lightly at the small kisses, trying his best to return the ones that happen to fall on his lips. "Well, I hope it's at least Mel, considering we are in his home." He replied, resting his head against Easton's shoulder and carefully watching the door, just in case it was something unexpected like the few nights before.
Mel's would have made a joke about the rooms being so spread apart but his lips dipped down into a slight frown instead. "Well, considering what they had gone through in the past few days, it's understandable they'd be so attached to each other." He replied slowly taking a step away from Nick and towards the door, reminding himself for what seemed like the millionth time that Nick had been part of this whole situation up until the last few moments.
Abrose barely registered anything as the door opened. Yes he saw his best friend but he also saw the man who had dragged both Easton and him to a dungeon and then to what he had thought of as their death. Even if Easton had reassured him that Mick had helped in the end, he could push down the feeling of dread that washed over him when he saw Nick. To force himself out of that headspace, abrose forcefully looked at Mel, immediately calming down. He only had enough time to open his arms as he was rushed at and enveloped in the fae's arms. Ambrose buried his head in Mel's shoulder, immediately co.forted by his sweet scent. "Thank you." He whispered as tears weed on his eyes.
"I thought I lost you, Rose." Mel sobbed quietly, tears rolling down his cheeks as he held onto his friend. "When I saw you unconscious I…I thought you…"
Abrose shook his head as Mel lead them to the bed to sit. "Almost but no, I'm alright now."
Easton leaned against the wall as he talked with Nick. "So…" Easton looked at his body movement and watched the way he looked at Mel. "Mel huh." Easton grinned and hit his stomach. "You know he is very feisty and independent. I'm not so sure you can handle a guy like that. I mean Abrose is the same way. Abrose is the most adorable thing you'll ever lay eyes on." Easton sighed and watched Mel and Abrose interact.
Nick held his stomach in pain. "That's where my stitched were man watch where you're punching." Nick leaned against the wall after the pain soon went away. "I don't know what you're talking about. Even if I did like him it's not like he would like me back. I mean I destroyed any chance I have with him once I dragged you two lovebirds to jail. I'm sorry about that by the way."
Easton chuckled. "Oh I know I can smell the blood from when you were outside the door. You got messed up. Abrose can heal you if you'd like. I'm sure that would make you feel much better. It's okay. It's behind me now. I can't say the same for Abrose though. I can't speak for him. You did help us in the end and you didn't get away with out some sort of wound so I think you paid for it enough."
"Oh so you just punch me for no reason." Nick shook his head. "You didn't you. You're such a dick." He elbowed and him and look at Mel. "He is quite beautiful," he whispered. "I mean he's average. I've seen a lot like him, so he's nothing special. Except for the way he talks…maybe his flirting tactics are a bit clever…he seemed to glow in the sun…does Abrose ever appear like that."
"All the time…" Easton smirk at his best friend. "Look at you falling in love." Easton tucked him under his arm and ruffled his hair. "You so like Mel!'
Nick pushed him back covering his mouth. "Shut up! I am not!"
Ambrose and Mel curled up in the bed, Abrose lied where Easton had slept to soak up the warmth and Mel lied where Abrose had been. Abrose relaxed at the familiarity of sleep with Mel, having ways been comforted when with his friend. They had been doing this for years now, for when Abrise had felt too scared to sleep alone in his own home or when Mel had gone through a particularly bad relationship, they could always find comfort together.
Mel gently wiped away his tears and then Abrose's, and offered a soft smile. "Do you want to explain to how I suddenly have two face makes in my home." He mused, glancing up at Easton and Nick momentarily.
Abrose rolled his eyes "hush, you've had more far in here than just two."
Mel feigned offence, "not in this room!" He exclaimed, dropping down to a whisper.
"Well, one is taken. The other…seems to have some interest in you." Abrose nodded his head to Nick. Despite his own feelings about Nick being in the same home, abrose shoved those aside when he had looked at Mel. "But what happened with the one from the ball, they seemed very nice?"
Mel shrugged, "he was, extremely so. But he failed to mention he was also married so I sent him away. I have no intention of breaking up a marriage. I want to have one of my own one day without any doubt I'd be ruining someone elses life. But enough about that. You need to eat." Mel pulled Ambrose into a sitting position and pulled over the tray of food.
Easton jerked his head towards Abrose. "You should go apologize or give him some sort of an apology. I can tell he doesn't trust you." Easton let his foot rest on the wall along with his back. He crossed his arms over his chest.
Nick nodded. "Yeah, I should…" he pushed himself off the wall and walked over to Abrose and Mel. He turned his attention from Mel to Abrose and cleared his throat. "I know I did something unforgivable and I'm not asking for your forgiveness either. I don't think I even deserve it. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for even putting you through something like that. I didn't know and that's no excuse I know. Even so…I wanted to say that I'm extremely sorry."
Easton smiled. He walked over and kissed Abrose's forehead. I'm going to get something to eat okay. Don't be in a rush to finish your food. Take your time." Easton turned Nick around and walked towards the door. "Personally Mel…I find it quite rude that you didn't bring food for me too. You're very biased." he huffed playfully before leaving the room. Nick waved and closed the door behind him.
Abrose obeyed and took a cup of tea, adding honey and cream before taking a sip, shivering in delight as 3the warmth of the drink comforted and relaxed his body. He looked as Nick approached the bed and slowly set his cup down. He nodded slightly, unable to keep eye contact for very long. "I believe you." He replied softly gaze flicking to Nick's side. "But I don't think I can forgive you just yet.i'm sorry." He took a sip of tea and nibbled at some bread until Easton came over. He nodded slightly and offered a small smile watching the two leave.
Mel rolled his eyes "little did he know this had enough for the both of you, but I guess that means more for me!" He giggled and tools pastry from the tray. "I never knew you'd end up with a fae, let alone the captain of the royal guard." Mel arched an eyebrow with a slowly smile spreading across his handsome features.
Abrose blushed and gently nudged his friend "he was more than I thought when we first met."
Mel emailed and nudged back. "I'm assuming he knows everything now?"
Abrose nodded slowly "yeah, I still haven't shown him my magic but we can save that for later when we leave and find somewhere else to live. Speaking of which, do you know anywhere safe to live? Where they might not care about someone like me."
Easton walked with Nick to the kitchen and gathered the food that was made for them. "I would much prefer your food over this Nick. Don't worry I'm not cheating on your cooking."
"Yeah yeah…" he scoffed and began to eat. Nick listened in on the conversation to see what they were talking about but was interrupted by Easton hitting his arm. "What was that for?" Nick groaned.
"Don't spy on them. It's not like I use my sight to see Abrose. So don't sky on them. Let them be." He laughed and joked with Nick while they were eating and once they were finished Easton figured he should go back to the room. "You should talk to Mel more. I'm sure he would love it if you played the guitar." He hit Nick's arm.
"What are you going to do, Where are you going to go. You can't stay here." Nick sighed.
"I know…Abrose said he would ask Mel. I guess that's what he's doing right now. I guess I should go back to the room now. We can talk later." he waved and walked strolled back to the room. He knocked on the door and waited for a response to come in.
After eating and explaining a few places that he thought were safe for Abrose to live with Easton, he gently pulled Abrose over to the desk in the corner, maps scattering the surface with pens and ink for note taking. Mel pointed to a circled area in the southern continent. "That where I'll be going in a few years. Once I have everything ready with Veda and know that everyone is safe, I'm moving all of us to Verrs." Abrose nodded slightly and looked at the surrounding places on the map, finding a few Mel had told him about. Mel chuckled beside him "can you blame me for wanting to keep you relatively close?" Ambrose shook his head, "no I can't, nor do I want live so far from you." Ambrose replied with a smile, eyes catching in a coastal town called Enally. "That seems nice, close to the water." He mused, seeing that there were forests surrounding the town and a mounting to the north. Mel nodded "I've been a few times. A beautiful landscape with lovely people, more fae than humans but very peaceful. I think you and Easton would like it." He said, heading to the closet and pulled a white silk blouse along with a matching corset a navy blue pants for abrose to change into. "Get dressed, I promised Nick a tour. I want you and Easton to come along to see the family." He said striding to the door as Abrose took the clothes and disappeared into the bathroom to shower and change.
He cracked open the door and looked up at Easton before waving him inside. "Rose just went to shower and change." He said, nodding to the door to the left.
"I never asked before how you were feeling. I can bring Veda in if you have any injuries you sustained yesterday."
(wrong character, it's still Mel in the room, not abrose XD)
(Omg…XD alright gimme a second I’ll redo it lol)
(it's okay! At first I thought easton just casually strolled in on abrose showering XD)
(XD)
Easton walked into the room. "Ah…I see. I assumed he talked to you about places right? Did you two decide on anything yet? I'm fine with anything as long as it's safe and away from here." Easton flopped down on the bed starring at the ceiling. He spread himself out on the bed while he stretched, "I'm exhausted but the more awake I am the more I can't fall asleep. Other than that I am perfectly fine. I know I got knocked out but you know that fae heal fast, when it comes to physical wounds. He heard the shower running from the bathroom and steps circling the shower. He blushed slightly, wishing he could stop thinking about abrose in the shower.
Mel nodded and pointed to two places on the map at the desk. "Abrose has taken a liking to Enally, the coastal fae town. I'm thinking of Verrs or Vala." He replied, glancing up and smiling softly "you both had a long day. We'll all rest for the most part today. I'll go out to Rose's house later today and see what's left if anything." He frowned softly before standing and heading to the door, "I'll come back in a few if you want to join us on the tour." He offered before closing the door behind him with a soft click.
Abrose got out of the shower half an hour later, having let himself indulge in the warmth for a bit longer than what he normally did. He had pulled on the silk blouse once his hair had dried a bit along with the navy blue pants.
"Hey Mel, can you help with the lacing?" He asked, trying to adjust the corset around himself, only glancing up when he didn't hear a response from his friend. He blushed when he saw Easton laying in bed, "ah, sorry dear, I didn't know you came back or that Mel left."
Easton sat up and cleared his throat. "I will help you with the corset…" There was a light shade of pink on his cheeks. He pulled laces and watch as it tightened around Abrose. "How tight do you want this? I don't want to tighten it so much that you can't breathe. "I didn't know you could get any more attractive my love." he hummed and kissed Abrose's temple. "You surprise me every day. So I heard about the place you wanted to go to, they seem perfect. We can get a place somewhere quite have our first date…again, live a life that you want by helping people and I can find what I want to do with my life. What do you think? Also, Mel is going over to your house to check if there is anything that needs to be brought along the trip." He gave him a kiss on the cheek before planting one on his lips.
Abeose sat at the edge of the bed, holding the corset to his chest as Easton tightened the laces. "That's good," he said over his shoulder, a small smile appearing on his features when he saw Easton blushing as well. "Thank you my dear, I'm glad I can still make you blush." He leaned into the gentle kiss and nuzzled into Easton's warmth. "Yeah, Mel told me about a few places that seem really nice. Getting place there would be great." He chuckled lightly "yes, dear. Then we can finally have our first date." He glanced up at Easton and nodded, "I think that sounds great, love. I just hope we can both find jobs once we settle." He replied laughing softly as he he gently cupped Easton's cheek, returning the sweet kiss
"I think we'll be able to find jobs and we can live the life that we both want." Eaton tied the strings and made sure they were perfect. "You always make me blush. He let the strings fall from his hand as he looked he was taken aback by the kiss. His eyes fluttered shut. He let one hand travel to Abrose's waist while the other was stationary on his cheek. He pulled away but kept their heads together. "You can't kiss me like that my love." A smirk grew on his lips. He pulled Abrose onto his lap so they were facing each other. He kept his hands stable on his hips. Easton tilted his head up slightly so he was looking at Abrose.
Abrose let out a small hum at being moved, his blush deepening as he settled on Easton's lab, legs straddling the fae's waist, "and why not my love?" He murmured softly, lightly brushing his free hand along Easton cheek. "And how would you like to be kissed my love?" He pressed a kiss to Easton's brow and nose, then just hovered over his lips, a teasing smile on his lips. "Poor creature, at my mercy." He laughed unable to keep a straight face as he said that. "I love you, you know that right? I don't know how or when but Ive come to love in a completely different way I've loved anyone else." He pressed a kiss to Easton's lips, wrapping his arms around Easton's neck
Easton didn't hesitate when he melted into the kiss. "I know, if words could describe how much I love you, I would've said them already, but they can't. Not even you could comprehend how much I love you." He whispered against Abrose's lips. He gave him small pecks on the lips before turning each kiss deeper by the second. Easton's eyes looked dazed as they would open and shut at times. "I'm distracting you, you should finish changing. I don't want to um…I mean I do, but not, you know." He looked down at his hands and played with them aggressively. "A-Anyway, um…" He blushed knowing he embarrassed himself.
Abrose hands found their way into Easton's hair, holding him close as he happily deepened each kiss. He gave a light him in appreciation before gently breaking away to breath. "You can distract me all you want, surely Mel would understand if we stayed in here all day." He offered a smile and gently lced their hands together "it's nice you're the flustered one for once." He pressed a final kiss to Easton's brow before moving off his lap and standing from the bed to adjust the blouse beneath his corset and to find boots. "Have to met anyone other than Mel yet?" He asked over his shoulder as he sat at the edge of the bed and pulled on socks and a pair of black healed boots
"Oh shush, you know what you do to me." Easton turned his head. "There are more people in the estate. I thought only Mel live here. I guess I learned something new." He looked at Abrose from head to toe. "You never cease to mesmerize me. You look beautiful. I feel like I never tell you that enough." He couldn't help but smile as he said these words. He chuckled. "I don't regret ever falling in love with you. I'm extremely happy you and your sarcastic and snarky comments came into my life. I don't know if you know but you were very sarcastic with me, but then again I was a dick, so I can't blame you."
Abrose chuckled lightly and nodded his head. "Mhm, Mel lives here with a few others. I don't think I've ever seen him with them at his side, at least not for as long as I've known him." He replied, glancing over at Easton with a light blush on his cheeks as he caught him looking him over. "You've told me more than I've heard from anyone else, melting as Easton's gave him a sweet smile. He felt his chest tightened when Easton mentioned never regretting their relationship, rembwring the things he had said during the picnic. "I only wish the start of our relationship went a bit smoother, but you're right, I was only sarcastic with you because we're so insufferable." She laughed softly and placed a knee on the bed to lean forwards and gently press a kiss to Easton's lips. "Insufferable fae yet so damn irresistible." He teased, gently nudging Easton's shoulder "get dress, dear, Mel will be back soon I assume for the tour."
"Irresistible huh. I'm glad you think so." he managed to peck him on the lips before he pulled away. "Yeah, yeah, know. Why get dressed when I can just stay in pajamas all day and sleep. I think that sounds like a fantastic idea." he pushed himself off the bed before stared to get dressed. He didn't put on anything special. He was going to put on his uniform, but he soon realized, he's not in the guard, he's not in his house, and he doesn't have a reason to wear it. He sighed and looked in the drawer finding clothes that fit him. "Before we leave this place, is there anything you wanted to do, or are you good to pack and go?"
"it does sound like a great idea but very counter productive." He laughed softly and went around the room to tidy up a bit while Easton found something to wear. He glanced over his shoulder while rummaging through the closet to find Easton something to wear. "There is one thing. I want to visit my family's grave before we leave. Theres something I need to bring with us." He said, finding a pair of pants that could fit Easton. "Try these, dear. They might be a bit tight but it should fit for the most part."
"I don't know it seems pretty productive to me." He took the clothes and kissed Abrose's forehead as thanks. "Why did I have to be born big and tall. I'd rather be small so I could fit into lots of corners. Like you. You're small and I bet you fit into a lot of small spaces." He dressed in the clothes that were given to him. The shirt seemed to wrap around his chest tightly. The p[ants however were a bit loose. "Maybe I just a have a big chest but tiny legs." he laughed.
"hey, I'm not complaining about any of this." Abrose said as he gave Easton a once over with an appreciative smile. "While that is true, I can barely reach anything above five feet. It's extraordinarily inconvenient when I need a step stool every five minutes to grab anything from my higher shelves." He chuckled lightly before finding Easton a belt. "This should help, dear." He said, reaching up and running hand through Easton's hair to tame it a bit and to get the tangles out.
"You're way too good to me." He put on the belt and closed his eyes ad let Abrose do what he wanted with his hair. "With that, I'm all done. Thank you." Easton looks towards the door and then back to Abrose. "Do we have to? I'd rather stare at you all day…" He took Abrose's hand in his and leaned against the wall. He took his free hand and pulled Abrose in close by the waist. "You look even more beautiful the longer I look at you, but…" Easton kissed the handd of the other while keeping his eyes locked on Abrose's. "If you really want to go then I will have to comply with whatever you say."
"Ever the charmer, aren't you my love?" He murmured, lightly resting a hand against Easton's shoulder when he was pulled in close. Abrose shook his head adorngly at Easton and gently brushed his thumb along his lips. "I would love nothing more than to stay in bed with you all day my love, but they'll be time for all that and more later, I promise you." He reassured, reaching up and gently brushing a lingering kiss to Easton's lips. "Besides, I want you to meet everyone. Don't want them to get suspicious about why we're cooped up in here all by our lonesome for almost two days straight, right?" He gently nuzzled Easton's jawline, kissing the corner of his mouth before fully pulling away and gently tugging him towards the door
Easton tried to hold the kiss but it was too late and Abrose had pulled away. "More you say? After that, I want to get this tour over with so I can see what more you're talking about. Two of the best days of my life if you could stay in my arms all day. You're such a tease and just can't get enough of it." His smirk was showing in his eyes. He was almost hypnotized by Abrose and his words. He reluctantly opened the door for his love and bowed down slihgtly. "After you."
"you'll have to wait and see my dear." He replied with a teasing smile if his own. "The best days of my life indeed." He agreed, doing one final check around the room before heading through the door. "Thank you dear." He laughed softly and gently took Eastons hand, leading them to the study a few halls down. Around them little decore was put up, other than what Mel had personally bought and loved to display. Some items were glimmering slightly and seemed to be moving in place. Abrose nodded to picture that was acting this way. "Mel's ability as a dark lord," he explained softly "distortion of reality. It's mostly how he's gotten so good at hiding from the queen. Half these halls don't lead anywhere." He glanced up as they came up to a large set of double doors left ajar, deep black wood with accendnts of gold and silver. Abrose gently nudged it open to find Mel and most of the other estate resident silently talking inside. All of the fae's eyes immediately snapped up to find Abrose and Easton. Before abrose could offer a greeting, he was immediately rushed by Esther and Genevieve. He gently squeezed Easton's hand before breaking apart so the two women wouldnt take him down as well as they basically tackled Abrose in a tight hug.
Easton hesitated before nodding as well. He watched as Abrose was pulled away, almost catching his hand, but could not make it in time. He huffed but soon gave a loving gaze even though Abrose couldn't see it. Easton looked around in awe. "Lords are pretty amazing…this is something I've never seen before…" he mumbled to himself. Easton froze when he caught people staring at him. He gave a small wave before trying to avert his attention to something else.
"Why so nervous?" Nick dropped his arm around Easton's shoulder, making him jump. "Loosen up a bit…"
"Ho ware you not freaking out? You almost killed my boyfriend, and I almost did too. I was hunting him for months before…well…you know," he whispered.
