“Goodnight, Munchkin.” She leaned over and tousled his hair.
“Goodnight, Munchkin.” She leaned over and tousled his hair.
Lin rolled his eyes a bit at the nickname and got himself more comfortable, soon managing to fall asleep.
"I hope you sleep well," she said softly, so as not to disturb him. She returned to looking up at the sky.
Lin stayed fast asleep until the morning, although he awoke pretty early as he usually did.
Orion was in the weird place where you're half-asleep, with her face against the window.
Lin looked over at Orion, humming thoughtfully. He wasn't sure what time it is, so he didn't want to just wake her up.
She shifted slightly, stretching her legs out in front of her.
After a few minutes, Lin reached out to gently shake Orion awake.
"Yeah?" she said sleepily, stretching her arms out so her shoulders popped.
"It's morning. Not sure exactly what time, but… uh… it's morning." He said awkwardly.
"Oh. Alright." She sat up. "I'm up. Ow. The sun is bright."
"That is generally how the sun works." Lin hummed thoughtfully, looking up out the window.
“Ha ha.” She poked him. “Alright. Today we said we were going to get jobs. But before that we need a bank account.” She started the car.
"A bank account?" Lin looked back over at Orion when he was poked. "How do we set that up? Is it hard?"
"No. Super easy. It's not a big deal. We just need it for when we get paid."
"Alright. Are we gonna share one account?" He asked.
"If you want to," she said, glancing at him as she maneuvered out of the parking lot.
"I don't care either way. I just want to know what the plan is." Lin buckled himself in and watched out the window.
"Alright. We'll share one. It's just easier that way."
He nodded a bit. "Sounds good. We'll be sharing money as well too, so…"
She pulled into the bank and said, "Do you wanna stay in the car?"
"I can unless you want me to come in. I don't mind. "
"Alright. Come on then." She got out of the car.
Lin got out of the car as instructed and quietly followed Orion into the bank.
Orion went through the process of getting an account and she deposited one hundred and twenty dollars.
Lin kept silent during the process, staying close to Orion and looking around the building curiously from where he was.
“Alright. You ready to go?” She watched Lin look around, slightly amused.
Lin turned back to Orion and nodded a bit. "Yeah. Did you get the thing set up already?" He asked. "That was pretty fast."
“Like I said, it isn’t difficult,” she said and offered her hand to Lin.
Lin accepted Orion's hand and walked out with her, still glancing around curiously. "It's cool in here. All clean and fancy and stuff."
