"Yes, yes. But I was staling the whole time. I was trying to scope out the room, trying to find my way out." Sorin let out a weird smile. He quickly unscrewed the cap and jumped on Gabriel. "Now who's the stupid one?"

"Um… the four-inch one?" Gabriel was a bit surprised at first, but he took Sorin's moment of gloating to take the tinie in his hand, pinning his arms and legs in place. He had zero trust for the man to not try to hurt him, after all, with how… energetic, he was. He even kept a finger under the tinie's chin to keep him from biting.

"Ugh-Your no fun! No wonder all Gio's are said to be grumpy. You do seem grumpy!" He said, it being hard because of the finger under his chin. now Sorin was in a bit of panic. "Just…Just don't hurt me…You being a Gio and me being a tinie. You cough hurt me if you don't be gentle!" Sorin hissed. He tried to wiggle out of the position, But failed.

"Hey, now, I'm going to be gentle, promise." Gabriel stood, looking around a moment before going over to his computer desk. He pulled out another jar, one not full of cookies, and placed Sorin inside. He flipped the lid over, locking it in place with the metal clasp. No getting this lid off, then.
"There, better?"

Sorin scoffed. "Ya ya, Keep me in a jar, see where that gets ya in life." Sorin's foot tapped. "Now before you do anything, What is it you want from me?" Sorin's eyes narrowed. He chuckled looking at Gabriel. He looked around and sighed. "Whatever, Ya got me. What are ya going to do with me now?"

Gabriel crossed his arms on the table, resting his head in them.
"Well, I've still got more questions I'd like to ask," the man pointed out. "And after that, I don't know. Guess it depends on how all of this goes." The Gio reached out, pulling the jar closer to get a better look at Sorin.

Sorin shook his head.
"Go ahead Gio. Ask away. I've got nothing to do in this jar either way." Sorin said, scratching his nose. He was now sitting on the glass, waiting for the Gio to start asking the questions.

"Well, how long have you been staying in my house, or do you not?" Gabriel asked first. "And how was this the first time I've ever seen you?" The man let out a faint breath. He did his best to not speak too loud, seeing as the person he was talking to was just so small. Lord, Gabriel could guess he was only a few inches tall!
"And how'd you even survive, being that small?"

Sorin looked at the man and chuckled quietly. "So, I've been in your house for about… 3 Gio Years? And I have no idea. You got lucky. I always sneak into your Giant kitchen to get food. I guess I made just a bit too much noise today. And I was born like this? Just like you were."

"Well, alright then," Gabriel said. "That makes sense. But why did you come live here, then? Unless we age differently…" Gabriel mused to himself, looking down at the tinie he had in his jar.
"Is it easier to sneak food then get your own?"

Sorin looked at Gabriel like he was joking. He realized he wasn't. "Look, Life for Tinies is not that easy. For you Gio's it's a crumb of cake! A walk in the grass! But for us? Oh no, It's hell alright! Do you know how many times I've been mistaken as a bug and almost got squashed? No. So I-" Sorin stopped. Frick. I rambled a bit too much… He thought to himself, Hitting his head against the glass. "Sorry. Got carryed away.."

Gabriel blinked several times as Sorin went on.
"No, no, I should have thought more about the situation before asking a question like that. I'm sorry, it's obviously stupid of me to have asked that." Gabriel set the jar back down, shaking his head some.
"And it's dangerous to interact with us… Gio's, right? Don't know how we'll react to you?"

"Well obviously. You've been my seventh encounter so far and you've been the calmest. I'm actually not surprised that you haven't tried to crush me yet." Sorin smiled a little. "The other Gio's tried to trick me or just straight up take the biggest toothpick ever, (Yes. A rolling pin. This boi know non Gio stuff) and try to hit me with it! It's just annoying how they never stop before they do.."

"Well, I also did have a lot more time to take a look and actually see what you were. I'm pretty sure if I'd seen you run across a floor I'd have mistaken you for a mouse. Though, I really wouldn't have done anything anyway…" Gabriel chuckled softly. "Though, your past encounters might have been even more terrified if they'd known you're a tinie."

"True, True. They would have tried to hunt my whole-" Sorin cleared his throat, "Tribe…Which they did…" Sorin said sadly, sitting down again. "It's hard being without a tribe. When one tribe loses people It's harder to get food and resources. Obviously for me, It's the worst." Sorin let out a sad chuckle.

Gabriel felt his breath catch in his throat a bit.
"Huma- Gios, can be cruel," the man said softly. "To everyone. I'm sorry that you've had to go through that…" He could only imagine. Where they killed? Or… worse? He'd seen the things people could do to the things they considered lesser, animals less intelligent and bigger than Sorin.
"Is there anyone left? I- I get if you don't want to answer, whether because it hurts or to protect any left…"

Sorin Looked down. He had no words. He just shook his head in sadness. Soin managed to say two words. "Their dead…" And then burst out crying, turning away from Gabriel. "I-I-I tried to help… I just made it worse… They were all killed…" He put his head in his knees.

It hurt, to see how much pain Sorin was in. How much he'd been hurt by humans. Gabriel wanted to help, wanted the man to feel better. He moved his hands without thinking much- he unlocked the lid, reaching in to gently cup Sorin in his hand and lift him out.
"Sh…" Gabriel said softly. He held Sorin to his chest, trying to comfort him. "It's not your fault. Gios- they're the ones who did it to them. It's not your fault…"

Sorin looked up with tears in his eyes, "B-but why would you help me c-calm down? You were acting…Different…" Sorin sighed, "Why are you so nice t-to me? I-I never did anything for you…"

"You don't have to earn comfort," Gabriel said softly. "You've been hurt so much… and I'm so sorry Gios have done that to you." Gabriel moved one of his fingertips up, gentle as he wiped Sorin's tears away.

Sorin sniffed. "You're right…But that's how us Tinies have to do it…Gain trust… Earn comfort… Ah, you Gio's wouldn't understand…" Sorin sniffed again.
