Adeline sighed. For a while now, she had the suspicion that the Archangels had something to do with it. Especially after they technically threw her out of Heaven, just for asking questions. She never trusted the rest of the Archangels…well, except for Raphael. He was the only one who was actually ever nice to her and to the other angels. "I'm not surprised that they orchestrated it. They are manipulative assholes, after all. Though I do know for a fact, that's there's one Archangel who didn't or wouldn't help them do something like that." She paused and looked at Orion. "I'll help. It's not like I have a choice either way."
"You're right, you don't." Orion crouched and cut the rope off her hands and pulled her to her feet. "Come on, then. The first order of business is to figure out how to sneak into heaven." Orion dragged her down the sidewalk for a few blocks, then unlocked the door to her house and said, "You can go in."
(I'm sorry I haven't responded. It's Christmas break, and I'm not really allowed to be on my computer during break.)
Adeline sighed. She wasn't surprised at all. Orion would resort to threatening her or something similar if she didn't help her. She looked at Orion and frowned as she rubbed her hands and entered the house. She stood by the door and looked at the ground. "Well, it's not going to be hard really. It's not like there's a guard at the entrance or anything like that."
(dw about it me neither)
"It won't be hard for you. You're supposed to be there. If you haven't connected the dots, I'm not." Orion locked the door, then pulled out a chair and flopped into it. "We'll have to do a quick scout or something, then figure out a way to get in."
"Look, the Angels don't care who's walking around. They just care about getting their jobs done. Plus, most of the time they have their wings hidden, so it won't be a problem to sneak you inside all dressed up as an Angel." She stopped and stayed quiet for a moment, figuring out what her next step in the plan could be. "To get you into Heaven, well I'm sure Raphael could help us."
"Well. Alright. Okay. That'll be tomorrow. I expect you to be here, around nine in the morning. And if you aren't, I'm sure you know what'll happen." Orion leaned back. "You can go now. Or stay. Or whatever."
Adeline nodded nervously and made her way to the door. "I don't want to bother you, so yeah, I'll leave now." She opened the door and quickly left, letting the door slam shut. She sighed as she walked down the street to her home. That had been an interesting morning. She took out her phone and called Raphael. She told him the situation and that she needed his help to sneak Orion into Heaven. It took a while to convince him, but after a while he finally caved in.
Orion fell asleep on the couch and woke up the next day at 8:57. "This is a disaster." Her hair was a rat's nest, she still had on clothes from yesterday and looked like a literal trash bag. She frantically combed her curls and fixed the cushions on her couch.
Adeline walked down the street, sipping tea from a plastic cup. She was holding a black bag in her other hand. She finished her tea and threw the cup in the nearest trash can and then made her way to Orion's house. She knew she would be awake by now since she had made it clear to be there around nine or else it was the end for Adeline. She sighed as she stopped in front of the door. She looked down at the bag and then knocked on the door.
"Hello," Orion said, opening the door. Her voice was soft and raspy due to not talking. She coughed a bit then said, "Hello," in her normal voice. "Right. Don't just stand there."
"Yes, of course," Adeline said as she entered the house. She held out the black bag to Orion. "This has everything necessary to make you look like an angel. And obviously clothes too. If the clothes is too small or too big, tell me and I can just adjust with a miracle."
"I cannot believe I agreed to this." Orion took the clothes and went to the bathroom. She put them on and looked in the mirror. "Jesus. I look like a self-righteous teenager. ADELINE! What the hell am I wearing?"
Adeline rushed to the bathroom door when she heard Orion yell her name. "er, I believe their clothes, Orion." She said with a quiet giggle. Why do you ask? Is there a problem? Or do you just…simply not like it?"She asked as she leaned on the wall.
"I hate it. Why would anyone wear a dress? Why?" Orion looked down at herself. "It highlights the worst parts of my body."
Adeline sighed and closed her eyes. "Well, if you don't want the dress that's fine. You'll have to wear a suit, then. Technically it's for Archangels and angels of higher ranks, but it's not like it could do much damage if they see an angel wearing a suit." She said as she performed a small miracle. In her hands, there was a dark gray suit, a color closer to black.
"I can't believe I'm about to do this," Orion muttered. "Don't laugh at me, but I want your opinion." She stepped out of the bathroom. "What do you think."
Adeline turned to face Orion and didn't say anything for a couple of seconds. She then smiled at her. "Honestly, it looks good on you. But, if you don't feel comfortable wearing it…" She holds up the dark gray suit. "You can wear this. It's your call."
"Right. Let's go." Orion pulled on the skirt of the dress. "I'm beginning to regret my life choices."
Adeline shook her head and smiled. There were two ways to enter Heaven. They could enter through the main building, or Adeline could simply just..well not teleport them there, but something similar to that. "Alright, let me just call Raphael so I can tell him to meet us at the entrance of, well you know where." She said as she took out her phone. She clicked his phone number and waited till he picked up. "We're ready. We're about to head up, so meet us at the entrance." She hanged up and put her phone away. "This is going to be easier if you hold my hand because if you don't, only I will go up and you'll stay down here."
"Whatever." Orion held out her hand, slightly miffed. "What about the horns?" She pointed at her head. "I'm sure they'll care about those."
"Hm. We can cover them with a hat or something? Either that or we can just hope that the Angels will be too busy with their stuff and not notice." She said as a light shone on them and they were instantly brought to the entrance. Archangel Raphael was leaning on the entrance with a smile on his face. "Welcome to Heaven. It's technically like Hell but just…cleaner."
"I forgot how much I don't hate you," Orion said drolly. "Right, then. Let's go." She let go of Adeline's hand and fixed her dress.
Raphael rolled his eyes as he walked through the entrance, not stopping to look if the girls were following or not. Adeline laughed and followed Raphael.
"Currently, everyone has been busy, even the lower rank angels. So, if you're worrying that they might see the horns, it's safe to assume that they'll think it's because of how tired they are." He paused and turned around. "Addie here tells me that you're planning to make the Archangels suffer. Or something like that. I wasn't really paying attention."
"Addie. Oh, that's funny." Orion looked at her out of the corner of her eye. "Yes, something like that. Let's do this fast; I don't have much of a temper today."
Adeline smiled awkwardly at Orion and sent a glare to Raphael, who just stuck out his tongue at her. "This is going to be great!" He exclaimed, but then realized he was one of the Archangels. "Or at least it will be until I have to suffer." He looked around and started walked up the stairs that lead to the next floor, but stopped midway. "Come on, slowpokes."
"I could go much faster if, you know. . . " She gestured to her back. "But whatever. I might leave you alone, Raphael." Orion blinked and pointed at one of the angels. "Oh, I remember her."
"Not very reassuring, Orion…but I'll take it." He turned his attention to the angel Orion was pointing to. "Ah, Allura. She's a pretty nice angel. A bit mischievous, but most of them are." He continued walking up the stairs and then stopped when he reached his destination. "Okay, so. Each Archangel has their own office. And then at the very back of the floor, is an office for meetings and things like that. Not including me and Adeline, there are eight Archangels."
"What exactly are you going to do, Ori?" Adeline asked.
"I haven't decided yet. Why do you want to know?" Orion said. "I have to keep you for information."
"Anything really. Anything important?" Se said and then paused. "So, I'm a hostage. Well isn't that nice?" She looked around and frowned. "It's awfully empty around here. That's not normal…" She said as she trailed off. Raphael shrugged as he leaned against the wall. "As I said, we've been busy. They're probably in a meeting."
"Are they in the meeting office, then? We need to investigate those first." Orion rubbed the back of her neck.
