"Ah, not a good start for me." Karia laughed, playing the next card. A ten. Not bad, and much better than his last card. "Please, do not beat this one. I have to get back my card."

"Ha, hopefully you won't take a single other one of my cards." Karia grinned, taking the cards and putting them into a separate pile. "Now…" He flipped over the next card. A seven, which wasn't that good. "Ugh, when will I get an ace or a king?" Karia complained, smiling even as he did.

"Hah!" Karia grinned, taking the cards and placing them into his pile. The next card he flipped over was a two. "Well, it seems my streak of luck has ended here," He sighed dramatically, then smirked playfully at Sam. "This is where you're going to draw an ace, isn't it?"

"That'll be a waste of one," Sam said with a laugh. He flipped his card over, revealing a Jack.
"It's also a waste of that!" The man soon his head, taking the two cards. He looked up, smirking right back.

"Exactly! It's always funny when you waste good cards like that. Well, funny when it happens to you." Karia laughed when Sam revealed his card. "Ha! Have fun with that two. I'm sure it will serve you well." Karia shook his head and flipped over the next card. A four. At least it was better than his last card.

"Ooh, fun! A war! Or " Karia set three cards aside, his fingers hovering over the fourth. "I really, really hope this isn't another two. Seriously." He flipped the last card over, squeezing his eyes shut as he did. The suspense was too much. "Did I win?"

"Aww, come on!" Karia groaned, letting his eyes open again. "We've got to have another war soon so I can win back what you took from me." He solemnly flipped over his next card. A jack! That wasn't too bad. "Do not beat this one," Karia ordered, a playful smile pulling the corners of his mouth up.

"Hmm, that might be the card that ruins you down the line." Karia smirked and gathered both cards. "That would be quite funny, now wouldn't it?" He asked, flipping over his next card.

"I'd like to see it happen, then." Karia grinned at him. "Oh, probably." He nodded. He'd completely forgotten why they'd started playing in the first place, which was the ideal thing to happen in his opinion.

"Aww, come on!" Karia complained, setting his cards down as well. While he waited, he shuffled his pile of won cards. It wasn't that big, but it gave him something to do.

Sam laughed at Karia's complaining, moving over to the water.
"Okay, it's boiling! Want me to put the noodles in?" The man hummed, grabbing the box and looking over at the door to the living room.

"Oh, yeah!" Karia jumped up and skipped into the kitchen. Sam was definitely capable of adding some noodles into a pot, but Karia still wanted to watch. It was boring just sitting in the living room by himself, anyways.

Sam looked up when Karia came in, smirking a bit as he put the macaroni into the pot.
"I didn't know I needed an audience," he said, chuckling some. He set the lid on the pot, moving over to Karia's side.
"Bored already?"

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Well, you don't. But yeah, I was bored." Karia shrugged, his lips pulling up in a smile. "You're really great at putting noodles in boiling water, you know. Top-notch."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Well, now you do." Karia gave him two thumbs up. "Ah, a shame. But it's an easy game to get back into, so whatever." He waved his hand dismissively, then hopped up onto the counter.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Exactly!" Karia laughed and nodded. He didn't notice that Sam had become the one cooking, mostly due to the combination of being excited and his general personality.

"Like a bowl? A big bowl? Or some small bowls?" Karia asked, hopping off of the counter and starting to crash through the cabinets.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Oh, oh, right." Karia backtracked a few steps and flung open another cabinet. He gathered two bowls and danced back over to Sam. "Your bowls." Karia set them both down next to the stove with an exaggerated flourish.
