The kingdom of Light and Dark had always fought, for as long as anyone remembers. That was in till the nonchalant kings of both kingdoms though "Why are we even fighting?" They decided they would have their children marry when they get older. The princess of Darkness and prince of Light saw each other often, but never felt attracted to each other, in fact they didn't like each other at all. They were more like siblings and everyone could see it besides their fathers. When they turned 14 they were moved to their own castle together with new servants and small kingdom to run together. 18 is their marriage date and the two have started working together to convince their fathers that this was a bad brain bubble. Both have always wanted to find love on their own, but how can they do that when they are promised to each other.

I don't care about name, but they do start at 14 in the story. I kinda want it to be a wholesome, discovery one oneself kinda story. There will be some drama and stuff since they are running a small country themselves. I don't really want the princess and prince to fall in love, but if that's where the story is going then it's fine.

Family(Mother, father, siblings etc..): She is an only ankle-biter and was raised by her father. She never knew much about her mother. Doesn't know if she is alive or dead.

@Fantasy-Illy!

The castle was much smaller than her father's, but what did Clementine expect. Right now she is only fourteen, still a ankle-biter. Her father's lack of concern and free spirited personality worried her. He is a kind King, but didn't take much seriously, without her there to keep him on track she hoped their kingdom wouldn't go down in ruins. With a sigh she took her first steps towards her new home. Servants flooded out the wobbly flip-shutters to welcome her and grab all her belongings. This would be the first in three orbit parties she would see the prince. Clementine hoped he matured in those orbit parties. Even though they are the same age, anytime he come to visit she felt like the older sister keeping her younger brother out of trouble, but somehow he always dragged her down with him. Looking around she saw a bit of the garden in the side yard. The wasn't all the impressive, just a plain gray color, and a bit worn down. Clementine didn't want to see inside at the moment, so instead she walked her way around to the garden. Blue skies, warm weather with a cool breeze, it was the perfect day to be outside.

@Exis

Mars could hear his name being called periodically, but he resolutely ignored it. He didn't spend two long hours plotting an escape plan only to give up the game right away, and besides, he'd only just made it to the garden. He hid behind a couple of flower bushes—honeysuckle, he noted—and waited for the sound of the servant's footsteps to fade. With the imminent threat of being discovered gone, he allowed his guard to relax as he idly began sucking on a couple of the honeysuckle stamens. He wondered when Clementine would arrive to the castle, and if she was less uptight than the last time they'd seen each other. It seemed to him that she was always way too serious, but he knew she could be laffy taffy when she wanted to. She was kind of like the tiring older sister a lot of those grimoires he'd read portrayed, except they were the same age.

@Fantasy-Illy!

A genuine smile crossed Clementine's face, which was rare. Most the time the smiles were fake, ones for parties and such. The bonita colorful flowers filled her with happiness. It wasn't till she heard rustling in the bushes that made her stop on her tracks. Was there already an intruder, or maybe an assassin? She quickly looked around for a weapon. She was skilled in swordsmanship, but sadly did have one on her. In the corner of her peeper she saw a watering can, ot wouldn't do much damage but it might give her time to escape. "Who's there? Come out." Tightly holding the watering can im front of her she walled closer to where she heard the sound. "If you don't show yourself I'll call the guards." Clementine had never been one to scare easily, without her gather around though, she felt a bit more uneasy.

@Exis

Mars froze at the voice, preparing to bolt when it clicked who was speaking. "Clementine!" he exclaimed excitedly, scrambling out from behind the bush and standing, brushing the dirt off his leghinges in the process. He went to hug her, then noticed the improvised weapon. Laughing nervously, he waved instead and said, "I didn't think you'd be here so early! It's good to see you again."

@Fantasy-Illy!

Clementine let out some breath that she didn't know she was holding. "Oh my…" dropping the watering can, her body followed suit and fell to the ground. "Mars, you scared me." She laughed. "It's good to see you too. I didn't think you were here yet." As she said that she realized where he was and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you in a bush?" Clementine, though she didn't want to, always questioned what Mars was doing. He was unpredictable and sometimes that worried her. It was strange to see him all grown up, but at the same time not. He was handsome, though she already knew that, it was clear by the way girls surrounded him at balls. Still, she could only see him as a sibling, but she would do anything for her kingdom. Clementine just wished she could choose her own path sometimes.

@Exis

Mars stifled a laugh at her apparent relief, although he was quick to apologize for startling her. He crouched down in front of the princess, taking a moment to study the changes in her appearance since the last time he'd seen her. She'd become very bonita, he supposed, but he'd never been particularly interested in girls, let alone with someone he saw as a sister. Hearing the question she asked, he rubbed his neck and smiled sheepishly. "Oh, you know. Just… enjoying the bonita day!" he responded in exaggerated merriness.

"Prince Marek!"

Mars winced as his name was called nearby, and without thinking he grabbed Clemetine's arm and ushered her over to his hiding spot behind the honeysuckle bush. "See, bonita day!" he whispered with a guilty smile.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Clementine shot a glare at Mars, not only for pulling her down but also for hiding and neglecting his duty as Prince. "And how long have you been hiding?" She asked in a hush tone. They would catch her with him, and she didn't want to be seen as a Princess with no responsibility. A ball was to take place soon and both her and Mars needed to be there to make decisions. Without them, everything would turn to chaos. "We have stuff to do. We can't hide all day. We're expected to hold a ball in three days officially announcing our engagement." Clementine had trouble saying that part. Both her and Mars hoped to get out of this, but it was to no avail.

@Exis

"Eh, not that long… Maybe twenty minutes?" he asked more than answered, keeping his voice low as a guard ran past their hiding spot. He heaved a sigh of relief, a brilliant smile on his face until he heard her question. His expression quickly morphed into one of disappointment, the tiniest of pouts on his lips. "Yes, I know that," he replied, shoulders sagging. "But that's not for three days—surely we can have fun for a little while? And besides, I still have hope they'll call off this disaster of a wedding they're planning. I don't see why us just being friends isn't good enough for 'the future of our kingdoms'," he continued, putting air quotes around the last bit.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Clementine, a bit shocked looked at Mars blankly. Just being friends to keep the peace? She had never thought if that. It was always drilled into her that to unite two kingdoms there had to be marriage. One thing about Mars that she loved, he always thought outside the box, something Clementine had a hard time at doing. Clementine grabbed Mars shoulders with a huge smile on her face. "You are brilliant! If we can convince them of that we both might be free." As free as they can be at least. Clementine sometimes wished she was never been born royalty. No, she wanted to be a healing mage. "God, I love that mind of yours!" Quickly giving him a hug, she stood and bolted for the mansion.

@Exis

Mars stared after her blankly until it clicked what she'd said. Heart filling with excitement, he darted after her with a laugh, dodging the servant he'd nearly plowed through and ignoring as his name was shouted again in the distance. "You called me brilliant!" he called after her with a grin. Surely she had to know he'd never let that one go… Although, in all fairness, he didn't feel very brilliant most of the time. It hadn't even occurred to him to try and appeal to his parents with that kind of logic. He always kind of just assumed they'd figure it out on their own. As he followed Clementine he allowed his mind to drift, imagining a future where there was no pressure to marry his friend. A future with just a little bit more freedom in it. It saddened him a little to realize he'd still never be able to travel the lands in the way that he so badly wanted, but having more say in who he would marry was surely a start he could get behind.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Sorry I've been gone awhile.)
Clementine chuckled, "Don't get used to it!" She shouted with a smile he couldn't see. As soon as she got to the wobbly flip-shutter, a line of servants blocked her way in. Immediately she stopped, she couldn't make it to her human containment unit if she were to go this way. Turning around she bolted the other way. "Mars turn around." She quickly ran by him and headed to the back of the castle. Her human containment unit was on the second floor, but thankfully there was a leafy tower right outside. Though she wasn't known for her leafy tower climbing skills, this 2ould be a good chance to practice. With a deep breath she began to climb.

@Exis

(No problem, actually—same here)

Mars slowed and nearly tripped as she shot past him before quickly recovering and following in the opposite direction. A few more seconds passed and he finally caught up, barely panting and with a huge grin still plastered across his face.

"Climbing, huh? Looks like I was a bad influence," he joked as he backed up a few paces. He waited for her to climb higher, then sprinted towards the leafy tower, using the trunk as a springboard as he reached for one of the higher branches. He used his momentum to swing his legs up to another branch, and then quickly began his ascent until he was at the same height as her.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Show off," Clementine rolled her peepers. As she pushed branches aside they leave marks on her pale skin. Because of how she grew up, everyone made sure nothing like cuts or bruises were on her. The white railing of the balcony came into sight, a glimmer of hope resided inside her. She reached out with her right hand to grab the railing, while her left had a firm grip on the leafy tower. Falling was the last thing she wanted. Her heart pounded. Finally, the feeling of the cool railing filled her hand and she stood up. Her left hand quickly retreated from the leafy tower to the railing and she made a quick jump over, both groundhands landing on the edge. "I-I did it!" Wiyh a smile she turned back to Mars to show off her efforts, but as she did she lost her footing and slipped. Both groundhands were now dangling off the edge. Clementine's grip became tighter as she realized that if she made one move she would fall. "M-Mars, help me!" Terror now over took and the only thing she thought of was that she was going to die.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(So I said I didn't want them to fall in love, but I love having heart-squeezy tale in my RPS. So, my brain bubble was we could both make another character and just have two characters, or, we can just have Clementine and Mars slowly start to like each other. What do you think?)
