Kipa paused. "Ah! Yes! Goodness, I forgot!"
His voice was really, highpitched and had a girly-like accent to it. It sounded like a toddler, but he was more mature than that. Very, mature.
Good job, Kipa. You forgot something already! He thought, embarrassed.
He laughed a little bit. "Don't worry about it. So where's your luggage, then?" He asked, raising his eyebrows questioningly.
Kipa paused, before pointing to the backpack on his back. "Just right here- I figured I didn't need much, after all." He mumbles, giving a warm smile.
He nodded a little bit. "Yeah of course. That should be fine. Follow me." He started walking, humming faintly.
Kipa smiled happily, and followed him, excited. "So- Are you going on the space mission too- or?" He asked, keeping that smile on his soft lips, as he tilted his head.
He smiled a little. "Yeah, probably. I've done a few runs before, but never further than Mars." He replied, leading the shorter man through the hallways and trying to remember if he'd taken his medication this morning.
Kipa gasped. "Wow! Mars? How many stars did you see up there-? And is it true about the storms and how serious they get??"
Joaquin hummed faintly. "Lots of stars. There's less atmosphere to keep them from being visible." He replied. "And yeah, the storms are terrifying."
"Oh my gosh! I wonder how the mission- I think- Planet…X or something like that- Will be… hm…" He was muttering a lot to himself.
He cocked his head faintly. "Finish your sentences, I'm not a mind-reader." He said, not unkindly. "Here's your dorm, by the way, he swung open the door.
Kipa squeaked, shocked.
"I-I– thanks!" He said, his glasses nearly falling off his nose but he caught them.
"And sorry, I mumble things..a-a lot."
He laughed a little. "It's fine. But we're going to have to work on getting you not to mumble things. You need to be able to communicate clearly, in space." He held the door open. "By the way: NASA doesn't care who you're dating, but you can't bring them here unless they have clearance. Do whatever you like off base, but you can't bring people back here, it's a restricted area."
Kipa nodded. "O-okay!" He sputtered aloud, smiling.
He nodded a little. "My dorm is right next door, so if you need anything, let me know." He said.
Kipa nodded, walking into his own dorm and smiling softly. "Thank you." He said, looking up at him.
"You're welcome. Do you want some time to yourself or are you ready for a tour of the rest of the facility?"
"I guess the tour- I don't mind"
(If you wanna timeskip we can-)
(idc, up to you)
He nodded a little, stepping back out the door. "Come on, then."
(aH- I don't mind, so that's why I'm asking you-)
Kipa followed him, excitedly.
(hnng i am Bad at decisions)
Quin smiled a little as he led Kipa through the hallways, pointing out rooms and opening them if he knew they were empty, telling Kipa what each area was for. They occasionally passed other people in the hallways. Some, like Quin, were established astronauts with tags hanging around their necks, and others were clearly trainees, still wide-eyed and inexperienced.
(oKaY- I'll time skip like- in the middle of the training- or after- its up to you-)
(Before or after the training?)
Kipa paused, a bit anxious as he looked up at Quin. "Uh…" He muttered, looking back down.
(is this before or after the timeskip?)
(after- My bad, they're about to board the ship- ;-; sorry-)
