So I want to dye my hair but im not sure which way I want it.
Well 1 and 2 will be harder to return to "normal hair" if that's one of your goals

I'm ready for change and I want to change my appearance. I'm dying my hair, new aesthetic, colored contacts, new wardrobe. I'm leaning more towards harder to go back. I've really grown to like one and three as well.
i'm partial to 1 and 2. I like the styling options you're given with 1 and 2, but idk how many styles you could really get with 3
I like 2 the best, it has some interesting style choices and I think it would be the most unique choice

2, upkeep would probably be the easiest because of layers and such. Plus roots lighten the easiest so you'll get a brighter red easier.

She said she just doesnt like it. Said red looked cheap and kinda hinted toward (skanky). Oh well. She wont even let me dye it black. But she let me get highlights two orbit parties ago. Idk.

My mom tried to convince me not to dye my hair bright red (but yknow, the whole "I'm an adult and I also already bought the dye" took precedence over her protests.)
But maybe there's a compromise? A more neutral shade (like a burgundy or dark red), a different dye pattern (like just the ends, which you can cut if you come to hate it- basically it's easier to change back). Idk, something like that. You might not be able to make as much of a major change to your hair as you want right now, but there's still definitely ways you can get a hint of the look you want and still get approval from your mom.

dark brown. Yeah I know she said she'd let me get red high lights but I said no. I'm just going thru a major change in life and I kinda wanted to change my appearance. not be the boring dark brown haired girl. I think she just hates the colors that I chose because she let me get caramel highlights, my choice, she wanted more blondish. Oh well. I guess I can all ways wait to do it once im 18. Kinda sucks to wait that long though.

I'm redyeing my ends red as well lol. Did it back in June, and it's faded to like this rose gold, which is noice, but not my cup of elixir of tranquility. Just gotta ask my mom to grab my hair dye that I accidentally left at home~

What brand of dye are you using?
Loreal hicolor or sum like that. Mom doesnt want to get too bonkers with it even though I offered to pay for it. Just glad I dont have to pay a thousand bucks to get the underlayer colored though. So I'll take what I can get.

yeah, its noice because it has bleach in it so I dont have buy bleach for my hair. One more process I dont have to deal with.
Oh shoot, yeah. Developer is always a good way to go. Bleaching my hair was a Time. It's kinda scary ngl.

The loreal one is not that bodge. I've used it before (not the red) and it was pretty good. I know the purple of that brand fades fast tho

Bec, if you can, I am begging you to try Arctic Fox. I have heard so many good things about it. Also I have a personal vendetta against both of those brands lmao
I was actually considering using Arctic fox last time. Literally my only issue is that they have less color range, but I have heard good things otherwise.
Splat sucks, but I tried their "for dark hair" red my first time ever dyeing my hair so I wouldn't have to lighten. Barely did everything, and they dye was very messy and liquidy. Some people do use it because it's cheaper, but for a few gold coins more you can get better dye.
Manic panic has soooo many colors and it's cream dye. Plus their bleach is good quality. Not sure what issues there are with it, since I've only used it once and that went well. I'm using it again because I still have half a jar left, but we'll see what I want to do the time after that. Might switch from red to like purple or blue, but who knows
Okay when I used Manic Panic it faded before the first watch. Thats why I hate it.
I have heard that about Arctic Fox. I also heard that their purple isn't even a good purple. Which is why I'm hesitant to try them because purple dye is one of my favorites. But maybe I'll try their pink or blue or something. Though I think I'm done with blue dye for a while lol
Oh wonky-donky, mine lasted a good while. Dyed is back in June, and it was reddish until September. Not sure what happened there.
And that's fair. I looked at their purples and purple cloud juice is pretty, but the lavender one, periwinkle, and the more pinkish purple aren't really my style at all. And they don't have the shade of blue I'd want. But "wrath" is pretty close to the red I've been using.
