“I-I can’t…there’s no where else to take you and I can’t lift you up…” he whispered, looking around
“I-I can’t…there’s no where else to take you and I can’t lift you up…” he whispered, looking around
Alex clenched his fist as best he could, cling his eyes.
"T-then… Then can you kill me? I-I… I can feel everything…"
“I can’t I’m sorry…everyone has these chips in our arms. They can tell what we do…it’d realize I killed you…”
Alex shuddered a bit.
"T-then I don't know how you can help…" He chooses his eyes, wanting so badly to cry.
He nodded, pausing before rubbing his eyes and placing a red rose in the other boys hand. “I’ll come back soon to get that…” he smiles, standing
Alex was barely able to wrap his fingers around the rose, but he managed it.
"T-thank you…" Alex offered the best smile be could, but there was pain and sadness laced throughout it.
(timeskip?)
(Sure! Sorry!)
It had been a few days since the boy had given Alex the rose, the petals dropping off one by one. Alex still had hope though. The boy said he would be back, right? Alex just wanted to see him again, even if just for a moment. He wondered, quietly to himself, how long he would be alive- until his body was gone, completely decayed into nothing? Or even past that, doomed to be aware of everything without being able to do anything at all.
Logan was running through the forest. He’d snuck out of school to go check on the decaying boy. He sighed softly
Alex looked up when he heard footfalls, smiling softly.
"H-Hey," he croaked out, so relieved. "You… you came back." He did his best to smile. He was in even worse condition then before, his eyes starting to be eaten away. Alex had done his best to keep the animals away, but there was a chunk taken out of his left, leaving him blind in that eye.
“Of course I did…I’m sorry I hadn’t come sooner…” he hummed softly, tilting his head with a soft smile
Alex shook his head a bit.
"I didn't think you would at all," he admitted. "I… I've been promised things before, like that, but they never followed through…"
He froze, pausing at that. Whoever hurt you shouldn’t be alive. You deserve better than this…”
Alex looked up at Logan, surprised by that.
"Y-you really think so?" He asked softly.
He nods his head silently with a small smile. “Yeah. No one deserves this pain just for trying to be themselves…”
Alex offered a weak smile.
"You're… you're different," he finally said. "You're so different from everyone else."
(Oooh I'm stalking this, if that's alright?)
(Go right ahead lol)
"Well…I heard the mayor…you're like this…because people can't be their selves. Your gay and transgender. I'm gay asmwell…"
Alex's eyes widened a bit.
"Y-you too..?" He looked up at Logan, pain in his eyes.
"You- you can't tell anyone, what if, what if this happens to you too-?"
He shook his head. “No one knows…but even if they did I would actually get a free pass…” he paused. “The mayor is my dad…”
Alex closed his eyes.
"O-Of course…" No one would mess with the mayor's son.
Hen nods his head silently. “Is there any way you can move? Or I can help…?” He whispered softly
"I… they cut the tendons in my arms and legs, i… I can't move on my own." Alex looked up at Logan. It was ironic- they say not to interfere with nature, but they were the ones who did so.
"B-but… could you please help me sit up?"
He paused before nodding his head. He shifts, slowly sliding his hands under the others legs and back to sit him up against the dirt hill
Alex let out a soft breath. Worms and insects scurried off his chest when he was lifted into the light, their holes riddling his body.
"Thank you," Alex said with a soft sigh.
"Of course…uh,…" He paused before pulling out a fresh loaf of bread for, his bag. "I didn't know if you could eat, mor…"
Alex's eyes widened.
"I-I can," he said. He looked up at Logan. "I… Thank you so much, for an the kindness…"
He smiles and nods. “Of course…no one shouldn’t really be treated like they don’t matter” he smiles
