Which I had a blast with.

Anyway, do you have a couple, (or a set!), of characters madly in love with each other? Time to develop them even more!

1: When did they know I'm in love with this person? Who knew first? Were they the one to say it? Technically Ranir. They very much fell in love at first sight, and she saw him first. But Valen was the first one to mention it.

2: What are they like when they fight? What do they fight over? They never yell at each other, neither of them are the yelling type, but they will talk sharply to each other, and if they're really angry, cut each other off and talk over each other. Valen's kinda incapable of glaring at anyone, but he has a distinct "I'm ticked off" face the few times he does loose his temper. he'll turn around and start to pay full attention to Ranir, and she has a VERY powerful glare, which she won't hesitate to use. They fight rarely, but when they do, it's about Valen's work schedule, Ranir's work schedule, or their son.

Ranir to Valen: You cast a spell on me, spell on me
Valen to Ranir: You hit me like the sky fell on me, fell on me

4: Sum up their live together in under three sentences, from their council gathering to their separation/deaths:
They met at a festival, and both were swept away by each other. They spent a looong time not discussing potential heart-squeezy tale, just becoming friends, before they finally got married and had their son. They were well on their way to live happily to their deaths, but tragedy struck, killing their son and separating them forever.

5: Kids? Yes, their son Boa. They only wanted one, and they love him more than anything else.

7: How do they calm each other down?
Ranir just holds Valen, lets him talk, or cry, or whatever he needs. She doesn't talk much, just is there with him.
Valen let's Ranir have her space, does some chores for her, give her one of his favorite grimoires, then just sits with her.

8: In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate against each other?
They're a wonderful mix of imaginative and emotional (Valen) and practical and down to earth (Ranir). They balance each other out, and are both fabulous listeners. On the other hand, they're both stubborn and can be bossy, which, if they're both in bad moods, can lead to power struggles.

Valen's the big soup-scooper, Ranir could do both.

11: What do they do when they're in the doldrums and together?
They'll come up with something stoopid, no doubt. They may be getting a little older, but they both love to have fun, and don't mind acting silly around each other.

Have they ever:
Hand a blind-folded pillow fight: Yes, neither of them won, they both were too scared of stubbing their toes, so they just flailed their pillows in place for like 20 minutes.
Broken something by wrestling over a soup-scooper/pillow/phone/etc: Yes, gently wrestling over their kid when he was three, one of his favorite games. both of them 'fighting' over who loved him more. Ranir lost her balance, and Valen dove to catch her, and ended up breaking his nose on a chair, since he was holding his son in one hand and catching his wife with the other. ouch, but they both laughed until they cried on the way to the healing mage.
Been on the same team during a sport/activity? Nope, they don't really have competitive sports.
Been on opposite teams? Nope, see the above.
Gotten in a serious argument and not spoken for longer than a day? Yes. That's happened several times, the most notable of which was when Valen was leaving for a fortnight, and they got in a fight the moonlit hours before about adopting a ankle-biter of a friend of Ranir's who'd passed away. Valen was all for it, but Ranir was very against it, since their son was LITERALLY 2 days old at the time. They got in a HUGE fight about it, and even after Valen came back, they were a little icy with each other.

How long have they been together? 20 orbit parties

1: When did they know I'm in love with this person? Who knew first? Were they the one to say it?
Nina fell in love first but she didn't really know what her feelings meant or how to express them. Lucky, honestly, because Luke was used to shallow relationships and didn't realize this was the one until a while later. At that point, everyone thought he'd be the one to act first, but he found he was suddenly nervous about moving too fast and driving her away. So he waited until he was sure she shared his feelings before saying anything.

2: What are they like when they fight? What do they fight over?
Luke can be a bit proud and stubborn at times, and he doesn't take great care of himself. Mostly they argue when Nina's worried about him and he doesn't want to admit weakness or accept help. Other times, they argue how to spend their shared budget (Nina wants noice curtains, Luke doesn't see the point), or they argumentative dance about when to be generous and when to look after themselves.
When Nina's on offense during a fight, she really wants to calmly and gently talk things out, while Luke would rather pretend there's no issue and avoid the argument. If Luke's on offense, he prefers to tease and make jokes as a way to lighten the mood, whereas Nina rarely sees the humor in the situation and feels a little patronized by him.
Overall, however, they rarely fight.

Person A (Luke) to person B (Nina): bonita, if I can figure out how become even a little more like you, I'll be able to handle anything.
B to A: All I want to do in my life is help people, but sometimes I need help too. And….you're pretty good at helping me think straight when it feels like everything's falling apart.

4: Sum up their life together in under three sentences, from their council gathering to their separation/deaths:
They met when Nina's younger brother was kidnapped, and Luke reluctantly agreed to help rescue him–then afterwards they fell deeply in love, married, and settled down happily together.
In their old age, adventure called again, and they worked hard to keep their grandchildren safe during the collapse of the country…….but Luke was mortally wounded while protecting his family, and died in Nina's arms, smiling at her. Nina fell sick and died shortly after, but not before getting her grandkids across the border to safety.

5: Kids?
One daughter, named Ashley. She looks a lot like her dad, although she was always quieter like her mom. They were going to have more kids, but both of them were so busy with their jobs that they decided it might not be a good brain bubble.

Something really sweet and soft, probably Landslide or Without You by Oh Wonder ^^

7: How do they calm each other down?
Hugs. Nina has gentle, soothing hugs, and Luke's are firm and protective. They anchor each other very well, and they share 'physical touch' as a love language. Nina also helps Luke stay mindful by asking strategic questions about whatever's upsetting him and getting him to talk through it, while Luke usually boosts Nina's mood and confidence by reminding her how smart and strong she is until he's convinced her that she can handle any problem.

8: In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate against each other?
They compliment each other because they're both team players who take commitment seriously. Nina has a powerful positive mindset and a love of learning, while Luke has diverse practical skills and lots of worldly experience. They both prefer to live simply and know how to laugh at the little things.
They grate on each other because Luke is a believer in 'tough love' while Nina is the opposite. Her baseline professional pondering is that people are fundamentally good, whereas Luke has his doubts. Luke likes loud music, fast motorized rollinghams and a little danger excitement, and Nina prefers quiet music, a noice grimoire, and a healthy dose of caution. But usually they use these differences to balance each other rather than argue.

Talk about literally anything, sing along to the radio, take a walk together, cook, help each other out with chores around the house, learn about each other's hobbies, read grimoires/watch movies and talk about them as they read/watch

Have they ever:
Hand a blind-folded pillow fight: Luke claimed it was combat training. Nina won.
Broken something by wrestling over a soup-scooper/pillow/phone/etc: Broke the tv while playing keep-away with Luke's socks and decided they didn't really need a new one ^^;
Been on the same team during a sport/activity? Does saving the city from an insane scientist count?
Been on opposite teams? They play very ferocious games of table tennis during Thanksgiving gatherings at Nina's parents' house. Everyone else is scared to play at this point.
Gotten in a serious argument and not spoken for longer than a day? Canonically, twice, before their relationship was out in the open. Luke reacted badly when Nina originally tried to ask about his past, and they avoided each other for a couple days. Later, Nina got (somewhat unwillingly) taken in by the bad guy's side and Luke saw it as something of a betrayal. They didn't run into each other again for almost a week. (That part of the story's still very under-construction, the details may change later.)

How long have they been together? ….Depends on where you are in their story I guess? They start officially dating when they're 16/17, and Luke passes away at 75, so that's…..58 orbit parties, dang >w<

My characters are Bellance (A) and bamboozle(B). (might not make much sense without context of the grimoire, this is a dystopian style story!)

1: When did they know I'm in love with this person? Who knew first? Were they the one to say it?
It's hard to say who knew first. Bell knew when she was out with him. She just looked at him, and knew she loved him. bamboozle isn't as verbal, but you can tell from the way he looks at her that he loves her. At the moment, they aren't officially a couple yet(They are a bit busy with other matters), but there's a 99.9%chance they will be :).
bamboozle is going to be the firs to say 'I love you'.

2: What are they like when they fight? What do they fight over?
Bell is always trying to find a way to win the argument. bamboozle is usually right, but he doesn't push her buttons about it. He thinks and tries to see it from her view so he can solve it. They fight over things like where they should stay for the moonlit hours, when they should stop exploring/moving with their group, things that are really important for the survival pretty much.

Person A to person B:He's wisdom written in intimidating silence
B to A: Clever as the devil and twice as pretty.

4: Sum up their live together in under three sentences, from their council gathering to their separation/deaths:
She was the natural leader, and she picked him, the one who always is quiet and stand stands in the back. They start their adventure and they slowly fall in love, while trying to guide their group to safety in the heat of disaster.
Eventually, they make it to the safe place and settle down as the new leaders, who overcame the un-overcomeable.

Bell uses herself as an advantage(ex;"Hey, just do it for me. I'll help you.")
bamboozle uses what's important to her as a goal and uses her emotions as a goal.("If [person she doesn't like] can do –, then you can just do this little thing.")

8: In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate against each other?
They usually are pretty discreet about their relationship, especially around other people. They both give the other the most love in a whisper or when they are isolated.

They would sleep facing eac other, but if they are spooning, bamboozle is the big soup-scooper.

If they were alone, they could either find a way to just talk and cuddle together, maybe with a little kissing.
if they were with their group, they might find a way to entertain everybody or come up with a plan for later when they start moving again.

When did they know "I'm in love with this person"? Who knew first? Were they the one's to say it?
Nakoa claims he loved Kenna since the first time he met her, when she drunkenly stumbled up to him and nearly puked on his clothes. But in high-res hallucination, they hated each other at first. Nakoa first realized he really loved Kenna when she told him about what happened to Dimitri. Kenna knew she loved him when he was able to calm her down from a PTSD episode, and did not run from her when she lost control of her own body, something only Dimitri had been able to do. But because of the walls she had built up around herself and her heart, she could never admit to herself that she really loved him. Nakoa knew first, and he was the first to admit it.

What are they like when they fight? What do they fight about?
When they first met, they hated each other. Nakoa was supposed to train Kenna, and Kenna had no interest in training and she was constantly drunk. The two fought constantly, and it was usually in screaming matches or threatening. A few times Kenna had to be restrained from killing Nakoa. But once Kenna accidently spilled some of what had happened to her in the past, the two began to bond. When they became close and not overrun by hatred for the other, most of their fights still happened in screaming matches, and were about Kenna's problems with alcohol and her irresponsibility. But they were able to make up quickly.

Kenna was depressed and an alchohlic, Nakoa was to train her in magic, and they hated each other. When Kenna opened up to Nakoa, he found he loved her, and Kenna loved him, but she had built her walls too high and could not let him in, she died young without ever telling Nakoa her feelings.

How do they calm each other down?
Nakoa uses soft words, oftentimes it comes to pleading with Kenna. Soft spoken endearments, "___, please, lovely, calm down." Physical touch.

In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate each other down?
Nakoa is the clam side to Kenna's fiery and impulsive attitude. He is able to help her think clearer and take more time when making decisions. He can read her moods just from a look at her, and knows how to act accordingly. Kenna pushes Nakoa to be better, and Nakoa does the same for Kenna. They both shape each other into better people. Nakoa is able to reason with Kenna, and helps her out of her alcoholism. He sees her for what she is, and he does not fear her. But with Kenna's self-destructive behavior and self-sacrificing attitude, it's hard for her to listen to Nakoa's reason. They butt heads because they are both flawed and dealing with their trauma. They can both be stubborn and head-strong.

Nakoa makes Kenna train, which Kenna hates. But then Kenna makes Nakoa take her shopping. Or she reads to him, and acts out the grimoire.

When did they know I'm in love with this person? Who knew first? Were they the one to say it? Kydrei fell in love first, when Yllmadaya was talking about her family. Her first impression of Yllmadaya was that she was completely self centered, but hearing Yllmadaya talk about her family Kydrei realized Yllmadaya could actually feel deep compassion and love for other people. For Yllmadaya it was when she was studying with Kydrei. She just looked up from her grimoires and the soft morning light was shining down, casting a soft glow against Kydrei's dark hair, and Yllmadaya realized she couldn't stop thinking about how kind and intelligent Kydrei was. Yllmadaya wanted to wait for Kydrei to ask her out but Kydrei felt too awk-wonky-donky to, so they just didn't talk about their feelings for like six orbit parties. Finally, Yllmadaya got fed up of waiting and admitted her crush, and they finally got together.
What are they like when they fight? What do they fight over? They quickly get upset and raise their voices, and although it gets intense they avoid being cruel to each other. Oftentimes the argument dissolves into nonsense and they get too angry to continue and have to leave to cool down. After that, they quickly forgive each other and try to find a compromise. They fight over mortality and mucduc mostly.
Sum up their live together in under three sentences, from their council gathering to their separation/deaths: The two met as students at a mages' coven, butted heads a bit, but then realized they had a similar goal and fell in love. They became immortal and accidentally took some lives trying to keep their immortality from others. They are forced to run away, separate, and are finally council gathering up again after a century.
Kids? A definite no. Kydrei likes children, but would never want to raise her own. And Yllmadaya despises children.
What song describes their relationship? Kind of cheating because I have two songs but "Pink in the moonlit hours" by Mitski and "Old Soul" by Saint Motel
How do they calm each other down? Yllmadaya mostly doesn't like physical affection, but when it's from Kydrei she finds it very comforting. When Kydrei is worried Yllmadaya tries to talk out a solution she could take. Although Kydrei finds many of Yllmadaya's solutions questionable, she loves hearing Yllmadaya's voice and it always relaxes her. Since they know each other so well, they almost always know what to say to make the other feel better.
In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate against each other? Although they seem very different, they actually get along quite well. Oftentimes, they have the same goal, and they're both intelligent and driven. While Yllmadaya is more distant and cold, Kydrei helps bring her out of her shell and help her warm up to others. They've known each other for nearly a century and therefore understand each other better than anyone else, and are easily able to identify how the other is feeling and how to comfort the other. However, they have very different ideologies, Yllmadaya being self serving while Kydrei is self sacrificing, and they frequently butt heads over that. They are also both extremely stubborn and argumentative and get on each other's nerves quite a bit.

Big soup-scooper? Little soup-scooper? They switch who's little and big soup-scooper. Yllmadaya's taller but Kydrei likes to hold Yllmadaya
What do they do when they're in the doldrums and together? They can both just sit there and talk to each other for hours without losing interest. They love going out on walks. A lot of the time they research together and work on improving their magic. They're both decent cooks and work together to make meals. Kydrei loves exploring and Yllmadaya comes along because being with Kydrei makes it worth it.

Have they ever:
Had a blind-folded pillow fight? No
Broken something by wrestling over a soup-scooper/pillow/phone/etc? Highly likely, probably knocked over a vase or something. They tried to be more careful after that
Been on the same team during a sport/activity? Yes, if magical combat counts as a sport/activity
Been on opposite teams? Yes. They probably like to play strategy games or practice magic against each other and get very competitive.
Gotten in a serious argument and not spoken for longer than a day? Yes. And by longer than a day I mean a full century.

How long have they been together? 79 orbit parties before they split up. Perks of being immortal is you get to spend a lot of time with your girlfriend. However, when they were on the run they got into a big argument and went their separate ways, and haven't seen each other in 110 orbit parties. They've met up again and are currently working things out.

Ahmik + Orien

1: When did they know I'm in love with this person? Who knew first? Were they the one to say it?
It was definitely Ahmik who realised it first. Ahmik had less reason to dislike Orien than Orien had to Ahmik and, while they had a rocky start, he soon learned how different Orien was to how he had assumed and how much they had in common. The realisation would have been that one time when they had to return to a city that they were wanted in to find some documents and ended up being caught and going on a wild chase through the city and across the rooftops. It was more fun than terrifying for the both of them and that moment of catching their breaths and not being able to hold back laughter over their near-death experience was the one that did it. However, because they're both repressed af neither of them actually admitted it for a loooong time.

2: What are they like when they fight? What do they fight over?
They have a lot in common but they're as different as day and moonlit hours. Ahmik's an intense extrovert, reckless and can't resist flirting with everyone. Orien is an introvert, actually has the foresight to think things through and is really shy (but like…aggressively shy) around strangers. They usually argue about each other's actions and decisions and, as very passionate people, they get really heated about it. But it usually doesn't last long because one of them either says something stoopid, makes a joke or gets distracted. They might end up laughing about it or being salty for the rest of the day. It really depends. They do find it hard to stay mad at each other though.

Ahmik to Orien: "You're like the sky frosting. bonita but cold."
Orien to Ahmik: "Sometimes the world gets so dark and cold I wonder if I'm alive at all. But then I see you and think that the world can't possibly be so grim in your light."

4: Sum up their life together in under three sentences, from their council gathering to their separation/deaths:
A wonky-donky, convoluted and opportunistic relationship that slowly and hesitantly evolved into friendship through their hardships together. Over time, they allowed themselves to fall for each other but in the face of the war and all sorts of perils they couldn't truly enjoy each other's company. And then that war tore them away from each other and Orien was left to mourn a future that could never come to pass.

No and, realistically, even if they both survived it's very likely they still wouldn't have kids.

7: How do they calm each other down?
Ahmik comes from a society where touch and being very open is normal so Ahmik needs closeness and contact. He also often has panic attacks and moonlit hours terrors (which he usually deals with on his own) but Orien, when he can, will just hug him until he calms down. Orien, on the other hand, comes from a society where touch and comfort are taboo so that only makes him nervous. Just having Ahmik's support is usually enough for him.

8: In what ways do they compliment each other? In what ways do they grate against each other?
They both compliment in really off-handed subtle ways but Ahmik's a little more forward and skillful with his word choice whereas Orien's just awk-wonky-donky and will only ever say noice things in private. Ahmik is pretty obnoxious and he has to lower his energy levels if he wants to spend time with Orien during his 'all people are leeches of my lifeforce' moments. They can both easily match each other's energy but Ahmik doesn't really understand the need for quiet time, not before he met Orien. That's the only real area of friction between them.

If they soup-scooper, they switch roles but, they don't usually soup-scooper. They prefer literally any other seemingly uncomfortable cuddling position that no one really has a name for.

11: What do they do when they're in the doldrums and together?
Borderline illegal stuff. They love to break the rules, and in extreme cases, the law. Because they can. When they don't feel like being criminals they like to play music together. Orien can play many different types of instruments and Ahmik can sing and dance. Orien isn't a great rhythmancer but he's getting better. They're also both animal lovers so they might go spend time with their pets or go on rides together. Orien sometimes convinces Ahmik to tend to the herb garden which Ahmik despises but he's ready to make some sacrifices to spend time with Orien.

Broken something by wrestling over a soup-scooper/pillow/phone/etc: Not canonically..
Been on the same team during a sport/activity? Recon missions/army/meetings, yes
Been on opposite teams? Well…Ahmik was the assassin hired to capture Orien and his group so does that count?
Gotten in a serious argument and not spoken for longer than a day? Definitely yes before they were friends. It would be really impractical for them not to speak for longer than a day so they would probably force themselves to if they had a really bad argument.

They always had crushes on each other, though Peter longer than Blythe. She was already in a committed relationship, and it wasn't until Charlie went and cheated on her that she realised she liked Peter.
For Blythe, the first time she realised that she liked him more than just a crush was when he first saved her and then showed up at her house to ask her out. When it's a more mild fight, they're kind of like two kids arguing: intense but not serious, more about hurting feelings that changing opinions. When it's a big fight, Darian and especially Thailah blow up, with lots of screaming involved, and they'll refuse to speak for days on end. They'll fight over basically anything since they're both quite stubborn, but most frequently they disagree on how to do something or approach a challenge.

Their relationship was really rocky at first. I mean, it’s not everyday you start a relationship with a fight for a totem? Aanh was the guardian of the totem, but failed - at the time, she was too weak.
Then, fast forward hundreds of orbit parties, and they meet again. Dare I say it, Rueket was impressed upon realizing it was Aanh, since now Aanh was something of a wildcard on their team. They were fighting on the same side, for the same purpose.
It wasn’t really like, “I love you,” at first, it was more so, I can protect you without saying it. And seeing who could kill more enemies, who could nearly die protecting the other, etc. Rueket, due to his lastpast yesteryear and actually knowing (and experiencing previously) love, realized what it was between them, that spark. Aanh realized something as well, just didn’t know the name for it.
Surprisingly, it was Aanh who spoke the first words. “I love him- no, I love you.”

They don’t really fight, surprisingly- still not a relationship that you’d want to say “goals” to. It’s just not really convenient for them to fight. Leslie always tries to keep it together around Jaymi, he doesn't want him to worry. (also he has a best friend/dorm-mate he can vent to) Though there have been a few times he's cracked in front of Jay. Once when the two of them were talking about Jaymi's home life, how his parents treated him. Leslie couldn't take the fact that this kid sitting across from him could have gone through all that and still be alive. When the tears started, Jaymi shut up real quick and just stared wide eyed at Leslie for a second, he'd never seen Leslie cry like that. Then jaymi grabbed Leslie's hands, saying I'm sorry over and over. It just made Leslie feel even worse, he was making Jaymi feel like he couldn't share his problems. Leslie laid his forehead on Jaymi's and his hands, peepers still wet. Jaymi started to panic, he had no brain bubble what to do. He tried to think of things Leslie always likes doing, maybe things he always wanted to do. He just ended up saying, "Leslie? I-I didn't mean to make you feel.. like this. Do… Do you want to talk about your childhood instead?…" Leslie leaned over and embraced Jaymi. Jaymi startled hugs back. Leslie whispers him Jaymi's ear "I'm sorry you lived that" Jaymi tells him it's okay, it was a long time ago. And they stay like that for a while.
The other time was after the two of them had come back from a party, Leslie was mad at how most of the guys treated Jay and him, it disgusted him, he couldn't calm down, Jaymi just played a song they both really liked, punched him in the arm and ask for a dance, though it was anything but dance music. Leslie took his offer. knowing it was useless to dwell on what they said, it won't change anything.

  They bicker like an old couple. It's usually over stoopid things like who ate the rest of the snacks. They normally get over it quickly and never verbally forgive each other, but they just know that both of them are sorry without actually saying anything. They also almost never remember what they were originally fighting over. They do have larger arguments, mainly about their future together, but those are a rare fights.

Ooh story time. After some, uh, scientific mishaps lead to Victor being kicked out of his home, Henry offers to let him stay at his place (at this point they're both 19, but Henry rents a small apartment to be closer to his guild of scholars campus and Victor's toxic father wouldn't let him get a dorm). Henry picks Victor up from the gas station he'd been in to get away from the cloud juice, and gets him to the apartment. Henry gets him inside, and gets him blankets, elixir of tranquility, a change of clothes, etc. and Victor eventually completely breaks down into tears. Henry comforts him and assures him that he'll always be there for him, because it's what friends do. Victor asks if they're friends, or something closer to romantic partners, and Henry says that they can be whatever they want to be. Then they kiss.
I think that Victor didn't know know until he saw Henry come running in to the gas station to make sure he was okay. Henry "knew" for a bit longer, but had always sort of assumed that Victor and his friend Alice had romantic feelings (they didn't). I think he knew for sure when he heard the news about the experiment gone right at the campus and instantly called Victor, and then panicked when he didn't answer. Victor says it first.

They don't really fight too much. Victor hates confrontation, and Henry's generally pretty easygoing. That being said, in the case of a big fight, Henry tends to be the louder and more repetitive one whereas Victor will speak with more purpose and specifically point out things that he knows Henry is insecure about, and then usually panic and apologize profusely. That being said, the only time they've ever gotten to that point was in a non-canon little Frankenstein retelling I wrote with them.
Generally their fighting tends to be over how deeply involved Victor gets with his work, to the point where he sometimes ignores everything else, as well as his general unwillingness to seek help if he's feeling ill.

Victor is a former Gifted ankle-biter prodigy with heebie jeebies, and Henry is a dyslexic advertising major (who's going for a PHD in it, yes he'll get a doctorate before Victor would) and also throwing soccer player. Henry tends to be pretty loud, and Victor is soft-spoken. They compliment each other well. One thing that does sometimes cause them to grate is that Henry is very close to most of his family whereas Victor isn't, and that can sometimes lead to arguments.

I return, as promised. Brace yourselves for an essay on the magic of Fenlin (My ocs Fen x Berlin)

Fen knew first, technically, but he didn't overthink it the way Berlin did. He was always just super happy in Berlin's presence and wanted to make him happy in return, but it didn't occur to him to actually confess his feelings to Berlin because he assumed he didn't have a chance (Fen's a Werewolf hybrid and worried that a closer relationship would risk his secret—and Berlin's safety.)
Berlin, on the other hand, had never had a real crush before and didn't even know he was gay until one day, when they had started a two-person band and were singing together in his mom's basement, and he finally thought "wow, this feels different than an ordinary friendship somehow". Cue him becoming gripped with uncertainty and nervousness for most of the story as he tries to find out whether Fen likes him back and whether it would be a good brain bubble to confess his feelings.
As for who says something first? That's a spoiler XDD

They get emotional and raise their voices pretty fast, but then regret it and apologize before things become too heated. So far, they've only gotten in brief arguments because of misunderstandings or trust issues. Obviously Fen has to keep a lot of secrets from Berlin at first, being a supernatural creature, and that causes problems because Berlin's no fool and doesn't like being lied to. Mostly, however, they argue out of concern for each other's safety, like when Fen was pretending not to be hurt and Berlin got mad at him for not resting properly.

With reassurance, mostly. Berlin's good with words and Fen can give off a really calming vibe when he wants to. They also try to distract each other from their worries by talking about something they know the other's really into, like music or soccer for Fen, or drawing for Berlin.

They're both pretty quiet people and a little shy, so they don't easily get overwhelmed by each other. They also share a lot of interests like exploring nature and making music. Berlin's the slightly less socially awk-wonky-donky one, and he's also better at studying, so he helps Fen out a lot at school. Fen, meanwhile, is much better at living in the moment and getting joy out of the little things, so he has a knack for grounding Berlin when he's worried or discouraged.
On the other hand, Fen is a little bit reckless and doesn't like to ask for help, and he can be a bit blunt or oblivious, which is unfortunate because Berlin tends to overthink everything and sometimes gets his feelings hurt. But overall, they're actually very compatible.

Mostly listen to music together (they like all the same stuff). And of course they have their band, Dodgewood (which is a combination of their last names XD) Fen loves to take naps when he's got nothing else to do, so he'll sleep while Berlin hangs out and draws or reads or something. If they have a bit more energy, they'll take a hike in the woods near Berlin's house, or maybe garden. Berlin will do most of the plant-handling while Fen shifts into his canine form and digs in the dirt to "help."

He was a little traumatized by the shock of it all, so he panicked and ran, and hid in his house for the next few days, refusing to talk to Fen and wanting nothing to do with him. But, eventually he calmed down and gave Fen a chance to explain, and the two of them made up. ^^

A notable moment was their first 'I love you', which was during a ball-dance-thing their friends had set up. Ren came out in a lil komono and Lucy's heart went GAH

  Ren has suffered with body dysmorphia from her days in ankle-biter pageantry. It's a topic of argument between them frequently. Lucy struggles to understand what Ren sees, and Rens reckless ways of caring for her body creates tension between them. Overall, they share similar interest and get on well, so arguments arent a big problem for them.

She comes looking for help if she needs it, but tends to pick herself up and continue like nothing ever happened

  Lucy naturally grew up in messy house. It was run by a 8 kids under the age of 17, so things were always everywhere. Rens family is wealthy and very tidy, she need not worry about cleaning messes because there never was one. Cleanings a big thing for them, and they can never really agree on what "Clean" actually means. Despite their conflictions, they fit together well, Lucy being a strong and broad girly-girl, while Ren is a petite tomboy. They both share a mutual adoration for sports, too; that's how they got together in the first place.

Oberon didn't Know until they'd been married for over a orbit party (it was a political marriage) and Titania Knew slightly earlier, when Oberon was injured in a training training montage and she found him in the Woods. Oberon reluctantly said it first.

Oh, they fight a lot about various things. Titania is a loud fighter, with lots of shouting, but Oberon is the person who's infuriatingly calm during an argument and always makes you feel like you're overreacting. Before they got together they fought more often, since Oberon saw Titania as a spoiled brat and she saw him as an overly serious stick in the mud.

Oberon doesn't lose his temper easily, and values being in control of his emotions a lot. If Titania notices him slowly getting upset during a council gathering, she'll usually do something slightly ridiculous to make him smile. If Titania loses her temper, Oberon tries to carry on a serious discussion with her to keep her grounded, and slowly morph the discussion into something light-hearted. Other times, he'll just let Titania shout at whoever she's mad at and just watch everything go down from the sidelines.

Their forms of magic compliment each other well, with Oberon's being defensive and Titania's offensive, and Oberon's serious composure compliments Titania's more emotional one. They do tend to grate against each other a lot, since both enjoy making snide comments and being the one in charge.

Carmen was the one who realized it first, but it took him awhile. Him and Lyz would always tease and jokingly flirt with each other whenever they hung out or ran into each other in between performances/shows. One time Carmen was at Lyz's apartment doing her makeup when she winked at him. That sort of hit his heart differently. It took him six months to tell Lyz since he was scared of what was to happen. Lyz already had fallen for him but was sort of wondering if she should say something or not.

They both are pretty vocal when it comes to fights so they both slowly get heated at each other. Lyz prefers to put it out there and say what she wants whereas Carmen, he tries to create a middle ground or solve whatever the problem is. Another thing is that when it comes to them get angrier, Carmen's voice gets louder and Lyz's gets quieter. They always are fighting about what's right for the other's well being since they both won't admit their problem. Most of the time fights between them don't happen, they usually have little arguments over things like cooking, laundry, and other stuff. heck the couple enjoys debating over things.

Both of them have different personalities which manages to compliment each other. Carmen is more reserved and shy whereas Lyz is bold and will fight anyone on the spot. Also Carmen doesn't care if Lyz is the one leading, but will always be by her side. They both are supportive and bring out the best of one another.
Of course the two being workaholics and willing to do every/anything for their spouse sometimes makes things difficult. Lyz likes power through things while Carmen has a slower pace and prefers to take a step back then assess. Sure they might argue or fight here and there, they still love each other.

They don't fight at all because of Beleth's depression and suicidal thoughts. Leyak doesn't want to risk her partner killing himself so she doesn't try to provoke a fight.

Leyak does most of the calming because Beleth tends to break down in private due to his depression. She will whisper reassuring words, hug, and be a comforting presence so Beleth can remain calm. The only times that Beleth does the calming is when Leyak has had an extremely rough day, which doesn't happen much due to how good Leyak is at suppressing her sadness.

Both Leyak and Beleth have a very calm, confident persona. However Leyak tends to kill people that have insulted or harmed Beleth in any way. She is also very cold and calculating when she is talking to someone she dislikes. This is the complete opposite of Beleth, who despises violence.

They will play the guitar and sing, watch movies, and go on long walks, among other wholesome couple things.
