Venus nodded, smiling. The clerk began to scan her things.

"What's the plan from here on?"

Blaine shrugged.

"Go back and make sure everything is in order at work."

“Yeah, there’s not much else we can do.”

"Okay then." Ender shrugged. "Are we in the same car arrangement?"

“Yep,” Jane said happily.

"Okay! Has everyone checked out yet?"

“I have.”

"Gimme a sec, I've still gotta pay for my stuff," Blaine declared, getting into a lane. She finished checking out and walked back to the group. "Okay, now I'm ready."

Nessa stepped into a different lane payed for her sketch book and some drawing pens, she couldn't help it they were on sale, and re joined the others, "To the cars then?"

“To the cars!” Jane said, and led the way out.

Venus followed Jane. "How about we shuffle up the groups?" she suggested, linking arms with Blaine.

Blaine chuckled at Jane's exclamation as she followed the group out to the cars.

"What for?" she asked Venus, raising an eyebrow.

“Nope,” Jane smiled. “I think they were perfect the way we had them.”

Venus gave Jane a look. She wanted to talk to Blaine alone!

Jane saw the look and sighed melodramatically. “Fine. Ender, you’re coming with me, I suppose.”

"All right, then… Venus, you can sit shotgun, then, if you want," Blaine said as they reached her Jeep. She unlocked it and climbed into the drivers' seat. Gesturing for Venus to get in, she said, "C'mon, we don't have all day."

"I'm coming," Venus said, climbing in and buckling up. As soon as the door was shut, Venus began to ramble very quickly. "How am I supposed to do this relationship thing? I don't know what to say to him! And he's so oblivious, it's painful and you guys -especially Nessa and Jane - keep throwing us together and it's so awkward!" Venus moaned, tilting her head back.

Blaine exploded with laughter.

"Oh my gosh," she said, still laughing. "Okay, yeah, so I'm not great with relationships, either, so I don't know why you're asking me about them. And, yes, Ender is so painfully oblivious, but you've gotta admit that it's pretty funny! And as for Jane and Nessa, they just ship you guys…a lot…"

"Well, I can't ask Jane or Nessa because they'll probably tease me," Venus grumbled.
