I've just got one coat that I use for everything lol. So far it's been Tonks, General Hux, and Victor Frankenstein, and I've got plans to do Tina Goldstein (in her dark coat from Crimes of Grindelwald) and Lila Bard eventually!

I went to a con as Todoroki and got surrounded by mha cosplayers singing the All Star parody but anyway how are y’all

@RedTheLoveless

That sounds like a riot. Was it Katsucon or something else?

I'm alright today. I'm going to have to power through three cosplays to record enough video for the upcoming week (Frisk, Chara, and Uraraka).

It was Brazcon and that sounds like fun even though you have to do it fast.

@RedTheLoveless

Brazcon? That sounds cool!
Yes, it was fun and I was very exhausted afterward.

I got a bit of a surprise this morning. Uh… my cosplay senpai followed me back?! And commented on one of my posts saying it was perfection?! How am I supposed to react to that without SCREECHING LIKE A PTERODACTYL?!?!?!

I love cosplaying, and I like to cosplay boys (yes I'm a woman). I did Enzan Ijuin (don't ask me his american name, I can't remember!) from Rockman.EXE and Roxas (casual) from Kingdom Hearts. Wanna cosplay Riku from KH3

@Kinarymo

Tbh i did one cosplay in my life, and that was Tamamo no Mae from the game Onmyoji.

  1. hes a fox
  2. tragic backstory
  3. i just love him that much

Even tho it was a one time thing i did for fun, I'd like to cosplay other characters like maybe Aesop from Identity V but right now im kinda drowning in exams and schoolwork.

Here's a pic of me as Tamamo

Start with the basic costume plan.
I recommend printing a picture of the character. Look at the parts and figure out if you’re going to build it or buy it, and write stuff down or you’ll probably forget.
YouTube tutorials are useful, and never underestimate craft foam. I’m also available if you need help for specific things.

I have a question: Do you guys have an idea where I could buy either a good wog, or buy a cheap one and make it look realistic?

Wig? Try ebay, or some chinese site like Aliexpress or Lightinthebox. Got my Roxas Wig in Lightinthebox

@RedTheLoveless

I got most of mine from Amazon. It's a bit like a roulette, not knowing if the wig is good quality or not, but as long as you do your research and check thoroughly, you should end up with a good wig.

Also be wary of suspicious marketing, but I think you knew that already.

@Musical_Queen

This isn't really as much of cosplay as much as I'm making my own clothes, but I'm making a reversible circle skirt where one side has Supernatural's demon trap. Anyways, my questions are

A) Do you guys know any paints that are washing machine safe?

B) Would you either sew it in or do the paint/marker thing?

Thanks

i haven't fully tested it out yet, but for paints, i use the Delta Ceramcoat fabric medium! allegedly you can iron it and it won't come off in the wash? i prefer that to using fabric paint because dear god it's so much cheaper and easier to get the colors you need

as for your second question- i would paint it. unless you're looking for a giant project and are already proficient in embroidery (i assume that's what you're talking about), it's gonna be a hot mess.

but i'm really not sure. i say this as a person who doesn't cosplay as much as i make theatre costumes and props lmao
