Hi, I'm Bárbara, currently 19. I've been writing since I was a kid, but I think my first real story was written when I was about 11 years old. I've been worldbuilding since 12, and in my opinion it takes a lot of my time but I need it to organize myself. I'm a journalism student, and writing is the main reason why I decided to follow this profession.
I've tried to write a lot of different genres but lately I've been sticking to fantasy and drama more. These are the easiest for me and the ones I like the most, I guess.
The thing I like the most about worldbuilding and writing is when characters sort of present themselves to me naturally. When I'm worldbuilding here on Notebook.ai and I'm struggling to write characteristics for a character that I know that exists but I never really imagined him, it's like they start dictating their characteristics, like they're presenting themselves to me. And it's even better when I'm writing. Usually when I have stories with very large plots and too many characters I like to write what in the world of fanfiction we call "one-shots". It helps me getting into the ambient of the story. And then, characters that I've never imagined before start showing up and acting like they're on their own and I didn't even have to create them. So I like to think that I don't create anything - I just get to know the characters.
I've been on Notebook.ai for 4 months, not so sure where I heard of it though. It's an amazing tool on worldbuilding, the best one I've found and I feel like I'm getting somewhere now with my story.
