My BF ended up dragging a ouiji board out when I was hanging at his house for the first time, and when he asked "Are there any spirits here?" I dragged it to N and O rather than "no" and he asked, "Are you trying to be funny?" with a grin, and I'm sitting there screaming in my head, like, 'No, I'm trying to awkwardly END THIS!!'

(Good) As long as you say a prayer before and after and like say goodbye and stuff, I think you should be fine. Just gotta be super careful.

I just have a very strong aversion to ouiji boards. They personally give me the chills and I nearly had an anxiety attack. I haven't had the chance to tell my BF that, so he won't make me do that again, but I'll get to it at some point.

It just seems to me to be not the right way to get a spirit's attention.

I agree. But for those who do play with them, they should be educated so they can be safe and not get possessed or have a spirit attached to them.

Indeed. Oh also for those doing the moon thing, the powers of the full moon was to last 3 days. So you had two days after the day I announced it. It's over now though.

I think those who did it were fully aware of how long it lasted for.
We do research these things in advance…

I don't think any true wiccan/witch/pagan dives into something without researching first.

That’s something that peeves me off about some individuals claiming to be part of this community, a lot of them don’t research things before hand or they say something that they think is really big news when in actuality we know because we’ve done the research and we know what we’re doing.

And in typing this I’ve only just noticed how effective my tunes are…

At first, I did print out some tarot and start doing them, but I researched afterwards. When I was even more of a baby witch, I didn't.

Honestly, I think a lot of "baby witches" make that mistake, but at least those who are truly interested correct themselves.

So, if I’m in the process of learning more about more…star related magic, I guess, how would I go about that? The only thing I’ve seen is to get a star chart set up, but I’m trying to figure out if there’s more?

Research any gods that are connected to that, especially the Lady.

There is so much to universal/star magics and energies! Many of them are based in healing practices such as reiki. Or divination practices. I would check out Star Magic: The Wisdom of the Constellations for Pagans & Wiccans Book by Sandra Kynes. It's a fantastic read and is extremely helpful for those just starting out.
