My grimoire is based in a different world/high-res hallucination type place. The world is mostly made up of uncharted territory and covered in earth pimples and trees. I want a somewhat eerie vibe but also capture the beauty of the place. I already have some ruins, a village, a statue, a castle, and a few other minor places but I want something more interesting and cooler. So if anybody has any brain bubbles just tell me, I appreciate any help I can get.

Maybe things could have a but of a darker color pallet along with having things like trees and plants over exaggerated and whimsical. Think Tim Burton or Alice in Wonderland vibes of sort, this can also be good for having detailed descriptions in the landscapes it self.

I'd go for a cave system as well, seeing you got earth pimples. Caves are always seen as creepy, especially when the earth pimples are surrounded by woods. But depends on your genre how you'd go from/with that.

@Space group

The genre is dragons-and-magic soup. I really like your brain bubble, also. Later in the grimoire, some of the characters set up camp in a cave to try to hide from some other people. But now I want to do a larger cave system deeper within the earth pimples. Do you have any brain bubbles of stuff they could find in the caves? I'm just trying to get as many brain bubbles as possible (Sorry)

@sharkfinn_ey

I probably watched too many spooky wod collection movies haha, but you could go from monsters to cannibals to even underground forests (I don't know if that's a real thing or just a really close to life drawing, but I saw something like that on pinterest).

You could have them go deeper into the cave when it starts raining and the first part where they stayed gets to wet, to have them discover an underground forest, and maybe have them recieve a quest/find a missing friend/ find out it's their enemies hide-away?

I really like your brain bubble of an underground forest, it's a really good way to show the beauty of the world. I'm definitely going to fit that in my story somehow, Thanks a bunch!

I don't know if this will be at all helpful, but sometimes making it just after cloud juice helps create a bonita place that's dark. For example, an abandoned village with quaint cottages and houses, all connected by a cobblestone path right after a massive storm. The colour palette will be darker and the government spy drones (or other animals) might have flown away or taken shelter somewhere else so it could eerily quiet and empty. You could still have clouds covering the sky, making it look like a dark dome of swirling smoke, and it might be cool to have a normally cute and colourful setting be dark and glassy from puddles and the cloud juice. I don't know, it's just a suggestion. Anyways, Good Luck!

Idk if this is what you're looking for, but if you're going for kind of an eerie creepy vibe, I've always loved reading about abandoned asylums or mental hostpitals and I love a creepy abandoned fair ground. I feel like those always give a creepy vibe, idk if that goes with you time period though? Hope that helps!

Even though that might be a bit difficult for the time period I think I'll definitely try to add something like that. Great brain bubble, thanks!
