She snorted. "I take it you don't like your brothers?"
She snorted. "I take it you don't like your brothers?"
"Eh. They just drive me crazy."
"True dat. My friend's siblings drive me nuts, and I'm not even related to them."
Teresa snorted. "My brothers drive me crazy. It doesn't help that they are mind-linked to me…"
Tessa screwed her face up. "That would suck."
Teresa gave her a rueful smile. "It does."
"So… Any particular reason why you're here?"
Teresa shrugged. "My brothers were being annoying. You see, I killed my older brother Cyrus's pet mortal, and now he's mad at me."
"Pet… mortal… Okay then…" Tessa inched back just a bit, giving Teresa a strange look.
She smirked. "That's just what I call it. It really means his bed mate, the love of his miserable life, the mortal that follows him around. You choose."
"Ah. That makes more sense." Tessa nodded, but didn't come closer. While she was relatively fearless, she wasn't stupid.
Well, most of the time she wasn't stupid.
This was thankfully one of those times.
"Does it?" Teresa grinned, her eyes glinting. For the first time, it seemed as though she may not have been entirely sane.
"I just said that, didn't I?" She narrowed her eyes slightly at the woman before her. Something was off–and Tess didn't like it.
Teresa smirked, the gleam gone. "Well, you did, but it doesn't make sense to most people." She rolled her eyes. "I don't get what's so hard to understand."
"Maybe because your 'definitions' are just your opinion fleshed out with more opinions," Tessa pointed out.
"True." Teresa winced as Gavin's voice filled her head.
"Teresa, you might want to lay low for a while. Cy is tearing down the house again looking for you. So… stay away."
Tess cocked her head to the side. "Brothers?"
Teresa winced, her twin's voice fading. Mind-linking always gave her a headache. "Yep." Shrugging, she stretched. "Well, I'm off."
Tessa gave her a two finger salute, starting to turn away. "Ciao."
Teresa spun once in the air and vanished in a wave of energy that flung everything to the side. She reappeared in the park and started to walk away.
Tessa summoned her wings and flew off, heading to her place.
"Resa?" Gavin's voice came through the dark.
"Yeah?" Teresa answered.
Her twin stepped from the shadows. He looked exhausted.
Tessa landed on a random roof to get some solitude under a blanket of stars before going home. She may be a sun dragon, but she liked the stars.
"Cy's gone," he said wearily. "They took him.''
Tessa leaned back until she was lying on her back, staring up at the dark and twinkling sky. It was unobstructed by clouds tonight, and she was glad of it.
(We need some sort of plot…)
(Yeah… I kinda feel like this thing died a while ago, though)
(I have to agree with you…)
(just leave it as it is and focus on the other two?)
(Why not. If inspiration strikes us-which I highly doubt-we can redo it.)
