((Morning!))
((Morning!))
((Y’all feel free to add yourselves in whenever
Celestina hummed quietly, walking down the narrow road, holding her sword to her side as she wove between people. "Oh, where was that old inn? I doubt it would have closed in only two years." She murmured to herself.
((So @Ladyabby you can join and introduce the quest whenever you want
(I'm not sure exactly how to join in)
((Well I’m having Scarlet/Scott being taken to her boss right now, so you could be there if you wanted.
((Well this is quite dead
((RESURECTION))
Celstina had finally found the inn, sitting down and listening to the conversation around her, hood and cloak still pulled around her
((BLESS IT))
Luckily, the boss hadn’t discovered anything about her. He just warned her to keep a close eye out for anything suspicious. “Several members of the royal family are in town. We can’t let anything happen.”
“I understand, sir.”
“Absolutely nothing. I like you kid, and I don’t want to see you lose your head. Be careful out there.”
“Yes sir” she quickly went back to the barracks and grabbed the other members of her patrol.
Celestina smiled, cupping the drink she had ordered in her hands, humming softly.
She’d gathered the rest of the patrol together and quietly explained the situation. Anyone who looked even remotely suspicious was to be further investigated. With that, they were roaming the streets, armor glistening in the light.
She stood eventually, leaving money on the table and walking into the street and pulling her hood farther down. It's weird, being back in my home town.
Scarlet kept a careful eye out, everything seemed normal. Just a few merchants and…someone in a cloak. That was a bit suspicious.
She walked quickly, looking around. Any way to get a bit of work, perhaps? She wasn't quite sure what she was looking for. Or if her parents were still looking for her. She couldn't be too careful here.
The figure was on the move, Scarlet gave a signal to the patrol and followed the hooded person alone.
She turned a corner, stopping. If her instincts had taught her anything…
She put a hand on the pommel of her sword. Nothing could go wrong today. She wouldn’t let it. She took a deep breath and turned the corner.
She whipped around, cloak flying around her, lowering her hood with one hand as the other grabbed the hilt of her own sword. "Is there a problem, sir?"
“Just on patrol ma’am. I need to make sure there’s no problems around here. You aren’t going to give me problems are you?”
"Oh, no sir." She said, smiling in the polite way she was taught as a girl
Scarlet almost laughed and it took all of her training to force it down. She saw through the politeness. She didn’t think this girl was here to cause trouble, but she didn’t relax her grip on her sword. “What’s your purpose here, ma’am?”
"I'm not quite sure sir." She said, still smiling politely.
“I only have one question then, why is a nice girl like you carrying around a sword? It’s clear you were raised in some upper class family that taught you good manners. So why are you here all alone?” She questioned, an eyebrow raised in suspicion.
"You'd get sick of it after spending your life in it too." She said, tuning to walk away."
She sighed “now wait a minute! I’m not going to take you back to wherever you ran away from but I am in charge of keeping this city safe. So if you leave I’m going to have to follow you. And neither of us want that ma’am.”
"Oh, is something happening today?" She asked, tilting her head to the side
“I’m just doing my job ma’am. I’m on patrol no matter what day it is. And since I’m a kind gentleman I’ll answer your question, no, nothing is happening today.”
She nodded. "Well, I'm not leaving town yet, if it eases your worries."
“If you’re not going to cause any problems. I really can’t hold you. But I do have a recommendation, keep the hood down, it actually does wonders to make you less noticeable.”
"I can't take risks, sir." She said simply, putting her hood up and walking away again.
