@Tam
Do you have a set technique or source of inspiration when thinking of a plot? I have no general idea what I want to write about so I'm kind if stuck.

I usually use the plot diagram thingy. So, the set up, inciting incident, rising action, climax, falling action. It's usually when I get to the rising action part that I get kinda lost, but otherwise the diagram is really effective.
I usually use that as well, however I think I explained wrong. I actually meant more of a topic. Like what is the story about.
Ohh right. Okay, that's arguably harder. All my inspiration kinda came from weird places. My first book I wrote based on stories my cousin and I had written together when I was a preteen. My second book was based on a story I wrote based on snow white –which, by the way, the current book has absolutely nothing to do with snow white. My third book (current) my brother was playing a Lord of the Rings video game, and he was like riding this killer dragon and destroying a village, and I was like…ooh. What if…dragons? And that was literally it. The point is, a plot can come from ANYWHERE at anytime. Just be ready when inspiration strikes. Search for writing prompts, write short stories and scenes, create characters, brainstorm universes. A plot will show up. It's just always fashionably late.
Thanks! I'll work on it
I decided to just start writing notes on my phone for random stuff my friends said, that I thought, cool things I noticed, cool ideas I get, ANYTHING, and now I have a huge list of inspiration. If you just start doing that, you'll have a ton of stuff to work from in a matter of weeks.
Thank you for the answer :)
