@Kev
Hey all! As I'm prepping for my first ever NaNoWriMo participation, it seems like everyone else has been doing it for years? Are there any other first timers out there?

I’m a first timer here as well!
That's a relief to hear! I was starting to think I was the only one! Are you going to try for the full 50 thousand?
I’m attempting it for the 1st time!
Yo! I'm doing it for my first time too! Probably not for the full 50 thousand though…high school might not let me get that far in one month lol.
Felt that TwT what are you all writing about?
I probably won’t make the 50 thousand word goal.
I’m gonna write about a girl tracking down her supposedly dead brother
I'm writing about a world where some people are born with superpowers, but the government thinks they're a threat to society and yeets them onto an island where they have to survive.
That sounds so cool you guys! I'm writing a story set in the world of the fallout videogames. It can't be published, but I think it'll be lots of fun to write!
Don’t know if I’ll be able to do the full 50 thousand with high school and what not, but I’ll still try (but I’m making sure to prepare for the fact I might not make it that far for the entire month)
I’m writing about a story taking place in a semi-futuristic city; with two types of people; the normals (just normal humans) and the shifters. The shifters are people who can take on the form of a kaiju, but the normals don’t like them too much so they force implants on them that prevents them from shifting. One thing leads to another and now the shifters are rebelling at last.
Oh my gosh, that sounds like so much fun! I'm excited to read it if it ever becomes public!
(I'm new to it, and I'd like to try it out… but I'm not sure of the the rules)
(Not new but I can give y'all advice and stuff if you want. @RainyDayArtist , there aren't really any rules, beyond writing every day/as much as you can, and setting a wordcount goal to reach by the end of the month. The official site is https://nanowrimo.org/, and it'll have all the information you need)
(Oh okay, thanks!)
(No problem! If you create an account on there, feel free to look me up and add me as a buddy. My user on there is "akarc04", and I'm always open to chat about NaNo lol. But if you make an account, you can use the site to track your goal and stuff. It's great)
(Oh cool! I'll do that!)
(Alrighty!)
I'll be attempting it this year for the first time as well! Any tips?
Ack! It's my first year and I'm going it for creative writing and the word count is for a grade and I have so much going on and I feel like I've said this so many times already
Me, who started two days b4 the official thing bc I was too excited: Right… stressful.
This is my first time and I have no clue what I'm doing.
5 hours to write 1699 or more words for the day…. I should be able to do this!
FanFiction Galore!!!!
The following is my plot idea for what I'm working on this month:
Noice
