Would it be cool if you took something that is normally one genre and make it another. Like a scenario that would normally be used in a light and fluffy romance but you make it a thriller? Or a theme that's normallt super serious and you make it a comedy? Just an idea.
that sounds like a great idea as long as you are able to write properly and not make it seen to dry
An example of the normally serious one but is actually funny could be the fawlty towers episode where someone dies and most of the episode is spent trying to hide the body
….. that escalated quickly :)
A cool idea! Similar thought: I've always wanted to write something that starts off as one genre and then does a complete 180. Romance to horror, comedy to tragedy, etc
Yeah, something like a romance between two people but it turns out one is insane and/or a murderer would be really cool
I think it would be even crazier if the genre goes from horror to romance. The protagonist falls in love with the serial killer that's trying to kill them or whatever
It would be great if Dora the Explorer episodes when like this:
5% killing some guy
45% hiding the body
30% romance
20% forgetting where the f*ck the mountain is even though she goes there almost every episode gosh sake
Sooo like a cyberpunk theme but making it Utopian?
I watched one last night that was romance to sci-fi/future. It was terrible. But it could have been good.
I actually kinda did this idea. My story seemed like a light fluffy romance in the first chapter. But after that you are really wrong it wasn't a Romance story at all.
