Zanna let out a slight laugh as she rolled onto her uninjured side. She let her eyes fall shut, “If I’m going down I’m going down with a bang. No one can stop me from doing that.”

"I believe that," Day responded. He went quiet after that, staring at the ceiling for awhile. He was exhausted, truth be told. Even if he had spent a lot of time sleeping (or, trying to sleep) away his crappy time in the prison cell, none of it was good rest. That cot was uncomfortable, and he was constantly hyper-aware of his surroundings. But now— Now he was out of that hole and in an actual bed. Granted, it was a bit dusty, and this place was dark and not the ideal place to sleep, but it was good enough that he started to doze off into a more acceptable slumber than any he'd achieved in the past several nights.
Zanna laid awake after they both went quiet. She had to sort through her thoughts and she had time to. She was a traitor now through and through. It wasn't she was thinking about helping Day and possibly being figured as a traitor. No, she was a traitor. There was no going back to her old life, no war for her to pick a side on. It was like she had just press a reset button before she had gotten the Day mission, except now she had no home. So in ways worse, but in other ways better. She let out a quiet sigh as she forced her mind to stop thinking so she could sleep.
((Okay, so… rubs hands together maniacally Considering how open-ended this RP is, there are about 109384802994 different ways we can go from here. Do you have any suggestions?))
(Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. There are sooo many ways. I think an interesting one might be trying to rebel again (Or at least a natural one) but maybe just like the two of them b/c no more large scale wars. Otherwise just the two of them on the run trying to just outrun the government would also be kind of fun.)
((I'm good with either. If we wanted, we could go with just the two of them on the run trying to escape the government for awhile, and then maybe the eventually the two of them decide that maybe they're tired of everything being screwed up so they decide to try to rebel again. Just them, like you said. That way we could use both ideas, but they're kind of spaced out so we're not taking from either of them. This is still one of my favorite rps lol idek why but I love it))
(Probably because it's just really fun lol. I like that idea, combining the two that is. Also, do you got any ideas? I don't want to input and then not let you input :P)
((Nope. My brain's pretty dead atm. But thank you!! <3 Okay, so,,, do we want action to happen tomorrow (in rp) or let them have a short break and let them keep interacting as they have been thus far?))
(You’re welcome. Also I think just letting them interact for at least another day would probably be best. Give them a break before the crazy starts again.)
((good idea. who should wake up first?))
(Hmmmm Day maybe? If that’s cool with you.)
Day woke up with an arm draped over the edge of the bed and his face halfway buried in one of the stale pillows. He'd somehow managed to get himself tangled up in a sheet, unintentionally cocooned inside of it a little too tight. He stifled a yawn and rubbed at his bleary eyes, wondering how long it had been since he'd managed to sleep that good. A long time, honestly. Though, the fact that he'd been in such a deep sleep did make him uncomfortable. If the government— or any enemies— had shown up last night, he would've been out cold and probably wouldn't have even noticed. Luckily, he didn't have a habit of sleeping deeply, so it probably wouldn't happen again.
He wasn't sure what time it was, but sunlight was leaking through the dingy window. He sat up and started trying to undo the blanket trap he'd unintentionally bound himself in during the nice and glanced once at Zanna. She appeared to be asleep, and he had no intention on waking her up if he could help it.
Well, he didn't, at least, until he tried to stand up and tripped face-first into the floor because his foot was tangled up in the bedsheets. He landed with a thud and a loud oomph.
Zanna had always been a light sleeper and last night was no exception. Having that unexpected nap earlier in the day probably helped as well. Though she had finally been falling into a deeper sleep when she heard a thud. She shot up from where she had been sleeping and reached to grab her gun or whip or some type of weapon. The thud was probably the government coming to take Day back and capture her. Or, or it was a different rebel group. Her worried eyes finally caught Day, who had fallen off the bed. That explain the thud. Her body relaxed as she sighed, “Oh, it was you.”
Day grunted a little as he struggled back to his feet. He was relatively uninjured, except for maybe his pride. "Just trying to wake myself up quicker," he joked, though even he wasn't sure if that one was funny or if he was stretching it. He didn't care. It was too early in the morning for jokes. He squinted at the window, the sunlight beaming through, and wondered if it was really all that early after all.
Zanna half glared at him as he made his joke. She was still too high strung for jokes. Her eyes wandered to the window and figured it was most likely mid-morning judging by the sunlight. She let out a sigh and swung her feet over the bed and stretched a little. Her hand rubbed over her injured area of the arm and she winced a little in pain. That was still a thing that caused pain, "It's too early for jokes, though I appreciate the effort."
"You're right, but what can I say?" Day brushed off his shoulder, as if there was something there that actually needed to be brushed off— though there wasn't. "I'm just trying to keep us from descending into depression. Or insanity." His expression contorted a bit. "Or maybe I'm just speeding both of those one. Not sure." He shrugged half-heartedly, like it didn't really matter. "Anyway, what's the plan for today?"
It was more like he was contributing to their descent. At least that's how it worked in Zanna's eyes. Zanna stood up and stretched being careful of her injured arm letting it rest by her side, "Probably see if we can find food and maybe try to develop a plan to not get caught, or die. Though let's not go down the depression or insanity path, we've been here for one night."
(Sorry I sorta vanished there for awhile. Life has been mega wack lately.)
(Nah you're good! Welcome back!)
(Dost thou live? For I have resurrected from the land of the dead.)
(I do live, shockingly enough.)
(HUZZAH! Do you wanna continue this RP? If not, no worries… but it was one of my favorites so I'm down to revive if you are.)
(I am totally down to revive.)
(A w e s o m e.)
"Eh, some people tell me I've been off the deep end for awhile. Who knows at this point?" Day shrugged again. "I doubt there's anything to eat in this place though, so I don't know what the heck we're gonna do about that." He strode over to the window and peered outside. "Unless you think you know how to hunt squirrels."
(A m a z i n g)
"I think there also might be deer out there," Zanna added on after being silent in thought for a moment. She gave a half-hearted shrug being mindful of her arm. Zanna had half a mind to bring up the fact that she probably couldn't do much hunting, but decided against it at the last minute, "We can always check around for tracks."
