(That is a cute prompt!)
(Ikr!)
(Are you interested?)
(Yes, but I'm curious as to how this would work.)
(I'm not really sure but we can figure it out)
(Do you want to be the selkie or the human?)
I'm not familiar with selkies, so human I think…
Half human half seal
Its a celtic legend, if you google selkie it'll tell you
Template or no?
Half human half seal
That explains it! (I've seen it somewhere in a book, but I'll still go human)
I prefer no templets… (they take too long…)
Sounds good. I'll send a starter
YEE!
Alfie, well, thats what he called himself, shed his coat in a hidden spot on the shore. Selkie didn't give each other names, it was a name he picked out for himself on his first trip to the human world. It had been the firt word that he understood a human say, and therefore, adopted it as his name. He went to the human world enough to be frowned upon. Others of his kind rarely travelled there. But he quite enjoyed it. He doned on some clothes he found near by. They were loose on his lean body and he kept having to pull them up, but clothes were clothes. It was better than frightening others with his naked body. He learned that very quickly his first day with legs. He grabbed his coat, slinging it over his arm. He never went anywbere without it. He couldn't transform back into his selkie form without it. He decided to go to his favorite restaurant aling the beach. He was seated quickly and placed his coat on the back of the chair, though it fell off a few minutes later.
Arthur hummed as he walked into the restaurant, his dull, fire red hair sticking out in the surroundings. Walking into the restaurant he was quickly taken to a table. As he followed the waiter he couldn't help but notice that one man's coat had fallen on the floor. Quickly he stooped to get it, offering it back to the man. "I think this belongs to you, it was on the floor" he said.
Alfie ordered his usual. It was one of the few sentences he could say without stumbling on words. He had a hard time learning the English language, the words were complicated. It meant one thing then it meant a totally different thing. It was confusing. He looked up at the amn with wide eyes. He gingerly took his coat back. "I-i….t-thank you." He stared at the beautiful stranger.
Arthur smiled, his dark green eyes glinting when the other took his coat back, before heading to his own table to order food.
Alfie turned his head, continuing to stare at the stranger. Even as he ate, his eyes never left the attractive man. Why was he sitting all the way over there? Did he not know selkie customs? In the eyes of his people they were married.
Arthur ordered his food and ate quietly, losing himself in the chatter of the restaurant. Of course, he was completely unaware of the customs of a Selkie.
Perhaps he didn't know. He knew what he had to do, that way the man would know. He slurped his almost empty water. Alfie kept staring, hoping he would look back at him.
Arthur hummed, thinking about the guy he met. He'd found the look on his face unusual, but he was handsome. I wonder what he was thinking right then….
Alfie finished his food and chewed on some ice. He decoded he would follow the man, where ever he went. He wouldn't let him know that he was following him, not until he made it official by human customs.
Arthur finished not long after his food arrived, moving to pay. That done he left the restaurant, heading further into town.
