Leon wasn’t the kind to be openly worried. Although, with the crowds, the other K.P. members, the generals… everyone watching, it would be no easy feat keeping his composure.
Leon was decked out in his full K.P. uniform, which was never a surprise. He was always the professional one, with his hair brushed out of his face for the first time in only a couple days. Though as strands fell back into his face, he kept his pale hands clasped tightly behind his back, standing as straight as he could with his head tilted high. It would only be moments before his name was called.
There weren’t many people getting admitted to the Keepers of Peace this year. That goes to say, not many people were in the training program either. For Leon, like those around him, he had gone through rigorous scenarios to get here. And— just the fact that it was actually finally happening— his heart continued to beat faster and faster.
He kept his eyes from wandering, having them lock straight forward until his name was called. But based on his memory, there were a couple other races here. Not a big surprise, though, being the only human.
A notable person, however, stood beside him. He couldn’t pick out key details because he kept his eyes from leaving their distinct place on the general at the stand, but on the limited vision he had, he could tell it was Lyra Drashen. He didn’t know her well, nor had any interest in doing so, but she was a hulking Keplarian. Leon was no stranger to the race, but being next to one wasn’t the first thing he wanted. She could snap him in half if she wanted to. Not that he wouldn’t put up a fight, but in training, he recalled her performing up to par.
With a deep breath, the cold air knocking him back to the task at hand, he tried to calm his thrumming heart. Yet, every minute made it drum harder. Their names would all be called soon.
(Sorry it’s a little short for a starter but there’s not much I know on the subject, so I’ll let you take most creative liberty with it :)
