(Ok so, should it start with Oliver coming back to the apartment?)
(Ok so, should it start with Oliver coming back to the apartment?)
(lets start with the murder first!)
(Ok, you willing to start?)
( would you be willing to do a small starter for now? I will respond longly after but my brain is on its last brain cell 😂)
Oliver was following Callum into the woods, not sure why his friend/roomate wanted to take a hike in October, something about the leaves being nice, great for photography, which made since, as Callum was a photographer. Oliver didn't really like going on hikes, but he is a bit of a people pleaser.
Callum seemed a little on edge… Maybe? Maybe it was the chill in the wind making him cling a little tighter to his jacket. “ you know, this lighting makes pictures almost perfect, “ he paused for a second looking back at Oliver. His soft smile was only a mask behind his sinister thoughts. “ could I take a picture of how stunning you look in the light of the leaves?” he asked.
Though something caught the corner of his vision, something small, seemed to move effortlessly through the trees behind Oliver. Only a bird… Maybe? Hell, it's a world full of monsters, humans were the main overwhelming species, but after 2026 muts had started to randomly show up in births and anything could be possible when it came to the almost storybook monsters that had been produced so long ago. But he was armed and whatever it was didn't scare him one bit. What would honestly scare a murderer, other than the cops?
Oliver blushed slightly, he wasnt stunning by any means, but if Callum thought so… well it gave him butterflies. He nodded and stood where Callum had mentioned. Looking at the beautiful colors. He had his back to Callum.
Callum smiled briefly, the camera snapping, and then.. seconds passed like minutes. The silent ring of a silenced gun. Only he and Oliver would hear the boy's last breath as his lungs filled with blood and soon his head with the previous century of memory.
Callum's unsteady breath filled as barely a tear shed from his eye " I'm only saving you from the wicked end of this world. the burning flames it will go to once they realize the cause of the disease. you won't be spared… " he said, acting now on an instinct he's been developing since the first kill. But it would be easier to hide being in the forest.
( a certain song to listen to during reading this part is karen1 by smaland)
Callum's head ragged as he buried the boy's body. The thoughts of humans making a genetic bomb so powerful it could wipe out monsters for good. He had heard this in one of his altered personalities. This made the murders start happening. Something clicked for him finally. He had a purpose. To save his friends and the barista back at home was next. To Callum, this all seemed so real only if it had been the case. Maybe he would have been right in the end… but all this was, mass hysteria from groups on a website he was a part of. End-of-the-world planners, people with high suspicions and almost crazy accusations. But Callum believed them all with no hesitation. It all seemed too accurate to be false. Before he had even realized it, Oliver was buried. Six feet under and no cops would ever see. Not even the wild animals would tell as he had killed a deer later that day and buried it about three feet above Oliver, so any hunting dogs who alerted here would only be met with the animal carcass.
(Ill respond later- but hella good. Love it. 100%)
(trying my best! im a stay at home wife now and greeting ready to move apartments so I should have more typing time now^^)
(Epic)
Oliver's last thoughts were that of shock and confusion. Then nothing. Death was such a strange thing, nothing Oliver had ever thought about before, he tried to keep positive, but often didn't even really pay much mind to what was going on.
(Not sure what else to do rn-)
(go ahead and do the recarn.not much else I can do either)
(also do you have a discord so I can send you the pic I drew of Callum?)
(Ye @jacen7290)
Oliver opened his eyes, a clear sky above him, in a hole. He sat up, rubbing his head, not sure how he got there, then he saw it. It looked human enough, but it was glowing, and blue. Oliver had read about Fae before, but he had never seen one. It looked at him for a moment, before disappearing.
Oliver stood up, brushing the dirt off of his clothes, and climbed out of the hole, he saw a deer carcas beside the hole and almost threw up. He didnt like dead things.
Oliver was suprised to see that most of the leaves had fallen from the trees, but then again, he did just wake up in a hole with a Fae standing above him. He looked around, trying to find his bearings, but had no idea where he was. What was he doing in the woods? He looked up at the sky, and started walking in a direction he thought was east.
After a while he made it out of the woods, to a road, he recognized this road, so he started walking home. It took him a few hours, but he didn't even feel that tired, which was odd to him, he wasn't exactly a sporty person. He went up to the apartment door, and checked his pockets for a key. Nothing. So he knocked.
(So, other stories I read, when the Fae brought someone back, they were not quite the same, but im not sure what to change about oliver)
(sent the request and im not sure either lol not read much fae stories)
Solace answered, his face stricken with what looked like grief. Then, almost magically, his face lit up with amazement. Something inside him had changed the minute he had seen Oliver.
"Ollie?" He whispered hesitating for a second before rushing to hug the other man. " where have you been your ass! You've been gone for four bloody months! And you smell musty! Have you been in someone's attic this whole time?" Solae didn't care how or when Oliver had decided to come back; all he knew was that his roommate was back, which meant that his only friend had returned to him.
A friend was a funny way to put it. He cared so deeply for Ollie but with his background, he didn't understand these feelings. He wasn't raised with the idea of a man loving one another. And his mother was so hell-bent on him finding a wife it was almost abuse.
Oliver hugged Solace back, a bit confused. "Four months…? But… I dont remember being gone…" he looked past Solace. His usual hazel eyes were gray, void of color, his hair had gotten darker too, and his skin more pale, not that it was anything but pale to begin with.
"What do you mean I was gone for four months… I was just here…and then… I went to the woods with Callum…and then I woke up in a hole and walked home" He pressed his face against Solace's chest. Something about himself just..felt wrong…and it was scary.
Solace sighed softly, bringing Ollie as close as he could. He nestled his face into ollies hair, breathing in the scent of his lost friend. " don't ever do that again… " he said softly, the hitch in his voice giving away his hidden tears.i would use every dollar I've ever had do find you, he thought, holding onto ollie as long as the smaller would let him.
Though the loud thud just a few feet over brought him back to reality, he looked into the apartment and at Callum" he's home! Callum, he's back home!" He cheered, gently pulling the smaller man into the apartment. Afraid if he pulled too hard ollie would break like a china doll.
Callum almost fell off the couch when he heard his roommate talking. "Oliver! He questioned looking at the boy with a mixture of fear and curiosity. The murder replayed in his mind. The sobbing as he buried the deer on top of Oliver. His body almost shaking. " you fell. They couldn't find you? Where..how?" He was stunned in maybe the worst way, but well at hiding it by this point
Oliver gripped Solace's arm, a sudden feeling of unease washing over him as he looked at Callum, though he wasn't sure why. He stared at him, his eyes now void of color, the pretty mix of brown and green, gone, not that he knew it yet, he hadn't seen his reflection.
"I … fell?…is that why I was in the hole…I saw…I think I saw a fae…but I thought those were just stories to explain the strange" He was quiet, well, quieter than usual, and seemed to be scared of Callum, as if, even if his mind couldn't remember, his body did.
Callum winced at the boy's fear, " fae? I am not sure my mother believed in them when I was younger but she's long since passed.." He mumbled," She died in her sleep dreaming of them.." He said. His mother was his first murder. Suffocation. The woman was so old the cops didn't think twice about it.
Solace seemed to notice the eye color shift when Oliver looked at Callum " let's get you into a shower.. " he mumbled. Pulling Ollie towards the shower.
Oliver nodded and let Solace pull him, he had dirt all over him, which wasn't surprising, as he had been burried, of course, he didnt know that.
Once in the bathroom, he turned the water on, still holding onto Solace's arm, as if he was afraid something would happen if he let go.
Solace notice, his face flushed a little as his brain ran over an idea " i- I can shower with you if you'd like, id just have to get some pj's to change into, plus you need clothes as well. I guess its a good thing I couldn't let go of your things huh," he chuckled softly, suddenly feeling like a creep for keeping all of ollies clothes. His face flushed even worse as his brain only made the embarrassment worse. " sorry I'm a little weird.." He whispered and looked away
