Jamie's heart beat faster. "Do you know who they were?"

He shook his head " But professor Binns got on to them thankfully"

"What did he do?"

"They have to repair all of the textbooks in class"

Jamie bit her lip to keep from laughing. "That should take care of them for a couple… centuries."

"I know right?"

She eyed his bruise again. "Will you be okay?"

"Yeah. It's not that bad"

She pulled him into a sudden, tight hug. "Thank you."

"N-No problem" he blushes badly

"So… Yule Ball?"

"h-huh? O-oh…um…Are you asking me? I'm confused…"

"No, you already asked me, silly." She giggled. "I was just bringing it up."

He looked down "O…Oh…umm…Thanks for going with me."

"No problem!" she chirped. "No one else was going to ask me anyway."

"I-I doubt that…"

"I don't," she replied, sounding very sure.

"Why? I bet many would go with you."

"Nope!" Jamie enthused.
