Brenn had been hiding out in his room for the major part of the morning. Sebastian's friends were coming over, or had at least hinted at it, and Brenn was not prepared for it. When Sebastian would take Brenn out, when he had meetings or things of that nature and he had to tag along, the looks he would recieve in passing, or the words he could hear being murmured about him made him feel oh so nervous and stressed. And the fact that these people would be coming over to the apartment, or at least a few of them would be made him feel sick to his stomach. He would have to wear that blasted collar, and act like he was just a pet, which he still wasn't used to. At least when they went out Sebastian would treat him like an equal, but here things would be rough. He heard footsteps coming to his bedroom door, and he sat up in his bed, waiting for Sebastian to just come in. It had been a thing the other man had been doing for a bit, and at this point, Brenn was sort of used to it.
Sebastian opened the door, collar in hand.
"My friends are coming over in a few minutes," Sebastian said softly. Of course, he'd made sure Brenn had some sense of this. He held the collar up a bit.
"Are you ready for this..?" Sebastian really want the biggest fan of having friends over, but he did enjoy they're company sometimes.
Brenn inwardly groaned and got up, walking over to him. He was wearing another one of the many outfits sebastian had bought for him, or at least had someone buy for him. Brenn was pretty sure that at this point the man never did any shopping for himself, but anyway, it was just a simple blue sweatshirt and jeans, which to be quite honest, Brenn was in love with. He never really had nice things to begin with, so he was in love with all the new clothes he had. "Okay, give it here." He mumbled, sticking his hand out, "You can continue getting ready and stuff, and while you do that, I'll figure out how to put this thing on."
Sebastian handed the collar over, nodding a bit.
"Okay then… I'll try and make sure things don't end up too badly." Sebastian retreated from the room, closing the door. Honestly, he could feel his apathetic feelings towards Brenn, and it scared him a bit.
Brenn sighed, taking the collar into his hands and udoing the buckle loosining it a bit. Moose who had been just perched on one of his perches in the room flew over to the bed to see what Brenn was doing. He hopped closer to the boy, watching as he put the heavy collar on his neck, then quickly tightend it. Which, luckily for Brenn was the perfect timing. He heard loud knocking on the front door, and as he started to head to the front door, checked over the room, then headed out the door, closing it behind him, and to Sebastian's room.
Sebastian was just on his way out of his room, humming softly. He have Brenn a sympathetic look as they passed each other, going to open the door. CC stood there, next to Fabian and a couple others. Sebastian stepped to the side, motioning for them to come in.
Brenn watched as the people came in laughing and chattering, not even looking in his direction which was nice. he figured that he might not even have to stay around. But that thought didn't last too long, he heard the click of the leash snap around his collar, then he felt Sebastian tug him over to the chair where he was sitting Oh god. . . He felt the eyes of the other people on him, watching to see how he would react, if at all. But he just kept his head down and meekly stepped forward towards Sebastian.
Sebastian sat down, Brenn sat on his lap. He wrapped his arms loosely around the other man's waist. He occasionally spoke up, but mostly he just listened to hide friends chat and gossip.
Brenn kept his head down, squirming ever so slightly as if to protest a little bit. He was hating this moment, he really felt uncomfortable whenever the two had to act as though they were in a relationship, or as if they were together. It was sort of just awkward and he didn't care for it, but what could he say that wouldn't warrant death?
Fabian had been studying the two men, and was sort of surprised at Brenn's subtle actions. And at the fact that Sebastian was yet to say anything about it. Also, just the overall fact that the pet seemed unharmed, as if Sebastian had been leaving him alone was sort of funny to him. He expected the boy to have tried to run again, or at least look sort of just in visible pain, or something like that.
Sebastian pursed his lips a bit when Brenn started squirming. It wasn't a good look. He waited a bit to see if Brenn would stop, but when he didn't Sebastian gave a soft sigh. He raised a have, rasping his knuckles against Brenn's temple.
"That's enough," he said, berating the man on his lap. "Be still."
Brenn winced slightly, trying to move away from him, "Oww." He said quietly, but he obeyed, leaning against Sebastian's chest, "Sorry." He said softly, looking down at the ground. "I'll behave." He said quietly, trying to just make it not obvious, although he felt eyes on him again.
Sebastian patted Brenn's head a bit.
"Good boy." God he hated this- he hated that he was liking this. He wasn't supposed to like it- he was supposed to feel just as horrible about this as Brenn, but he just… didn't. He ran his fingers through Brenn's hair, petting him. His friend CC giggled a bit.
"So, he really was never broken, was he? Damn, he's a good actor- I feel sorry for you, Sebastian. Not able to see through him. Are you getting soft?" Still, everything was said in a joking manner- she was the biggest supporter of Sebastian, and would protect him fiercly against an uprising.
Brenn glanced up, looking at her, What is she talking about? I am in big trouble He waited to hear Sebastian's reaction, hopefully the man wouldn't do anything rash to show his toughness. Oh god. . . He felt Sebastian's grip around his waist tighten, and he shuddered.
Sebastian let out a long breath.
"You really shouldn't say things like that. Who knows if someone will get ideas." Still, he knew he'd have to actually address Brenn. He looked down at the man, face indifferent.
"She's right. It is a shame, though. He's cute." That couldn't be good at all.
He glanced up turning slightly to look at him, then he saw the cold look in the other man's eyes, a look that he hadn't seen in a long time. Brennon didn't like that look at all, he had seen it not only on Sebastian before, but on other people, the people who had hurt him. He had no clue what the stronger man was going to say or do next, but he really didn't want to find out. He started to struggle a little bit, not really caring about the fact that now all eyes were on him, or the amused looks on the people's faces. He felt Sebastian grab the leash and pull him in, nearly choking him at that point. Oh god. . .that didn't work. . .
Sebastian held Brenn close to himself with the leash, scowling down at him now. Then, he stood, pushing Brenn down to the ground. He'd put on a show alright. He kicked Brenn in the head, using the leash to keep him in place.
"I feel a bit bad, ruining the looks of such a cute pet."
Brenn bit his lip, trying to keep in his gasp of pain. He wasn't going to give Sebastian the pleasure of hearing him in pain. He looked up at the man, his eyes filled with worry and hurt. He had thought that they were friends, but by the man's action's showed differently. Almost as if he enjoyed to see Brenn in pain and struggling to stay calm. He watched Sebastian circle him, shuddering slightly, awaiting the next blow.
