"you know you can comfy right?"
"you know you can comfy right?"
Norkhal’rokh blinked, glancing at Kane with uncertainty.
“Um… I didn’t know that, but… I came here to find something. An artifact of some importance. And… I’m not sure if it’s even here,”Norkhal’rokh explained, choosing his words carefully.
" your artifact is well searched and master will not be here for a while"
Norkhal’rokh looked at him in surprise. Did he really know what artifact he was looking for? Was this mission finally becoming easy? He then remembered a word Kane had said. ‘Master’.
“Master? What Master?”he asked, confused and concerned.
" you really don't know much about this artifact" he chuckled and put the last stitch in
“No, I don’t. I think it’s some sort of book with significance to a guild my family’s close to, but otherwise I know little about it. But, what do you mean by ‘Master’? Is this person a mentor of sorts?”he asked, glancing down at his clothes as Kane finished it.
Kane looked up as his eyes seemed to flash " yeah, mentor " he said and gave nok his clothes back
Norkhal’rokh stared at Kane a moment, confused and worried by the flash in his eyes. He then took his clothes back, placing them inside his travel bag.
“What sort of mentor do you have?”he asked, his tone a bit more insistent. Norkhal’rokh was truly concerned, and though he sucked at going out into the wild, he wasn’t stupid.
" he's more like a teacher of everything and a master of nothing "
(Just double-checking. What is ‘edrythin’? Or were you meaning ‘everything’?)
( everything, sorry I was supper tired)
(You’re good. I’ve done that before, lol)
Norkhal’rokh looked at him in utter confusion.
“What does that mean?”
" it's nothing, just eat"
Norkhal’rokh stared at him for another moment, then shook his head and grabbed his bowl of soup. He quietly ate.
Kane watched as the sky clouded over with dark clouds " inside, come on" he said and stood to hurry inside
Norkhal’rokh noticed the clouds, and was already thinking of heading inside. Though, the urgency in Kane’s voice worried him. Was there something bad about this particular storm, besides getting soaked to the bone with rain?
He didn’t say anything though, instead following Kane inside.
" lightning is deadly and almost certain to strike you here" he mumbled
Norkhal’rokh heard Kane and grimaced.
“Oh.”
A few minutes later, when they were safely inside, he spoke up again.
“So… who is your mentor? What is he like?”
(Abrupt question: Do you want to be the vampire, or do you want me to be?)
( I was hopping you'd be him for the moment)
" My mentor is Angus Alero, he is stern but easily appealed "
(Thumbs-up. Angus might also be a bit on the strange side, but we’ll see how it goes, lol)
Norkhal’rokh nodded cautiously.
“And… how do I retrieve the artifact? Will I have to ask Mr. Alero?”
" you'll be put through a series of tests, depending on your actions depends on whether or not you get the artifact "
Norkhal’rokh shook his head in bewilderment.
“Wait, tests? I thought this would be a simple negotiation, and then I’d be gone,”he blurted.
" nope~" kane giggled a bit, his smile a bit brighter at noks comment, " you really were set off on a goose chase huh"
Norkhal’rokh sighed and nodded. He then noticed Kane’s smile, and couldn’t help but think that it was rather sweet. And that giggle was actually quite cute too. But, he quickly refocused on his current dilemma, sighing again.
“I was sent with little preparation. Basically, I was given supplies and a map with some marks on it and told to find and bring back an old artifact, or book, or some such. The whole situation is just absolutely ridiculous.”
