May I? Sounds interesting!
Of course, who would you like to be?
Hmm. I'm fine with either! So you go ahead and pick which one you'd like to be.
Ah, I don't really mind either, but I'll do the heir so I can play npcs more lol
Would you mind if this was a romance or would you like it to be platonic?
Hm, romantic sounds fun, but it all depends on the characters chemistry.
True, do you have any plans for your character yet?
Hmm. Well. If I'm making a guard character, I have a few ideas.
Good to know! I don't really need a form, just a brief summary of the character
Alright. Calum is basically a really tall guy, big sweetheart and extremely loyal. He's smart and quick witted. He knows how to talk things through and prefers doing that rather than drawing his sword. He's very tough though, and knows how to use his hands. He has a little sister that he would do anything for. Grew up in a good family, somewhat poor. Appearance wise, he has dark brown hair that almost looks black, reaches about mid back. Usually has it up in a ponytail or bun. Ocean blue eyes, fair skin. Lean with muscle.
(I have a female character as well if you're interested in that. This is the basic summary, he's one of my more in-depth characters, but I figured I'd give you the basics)
Ah rad, give me a bit to switch classes and i'll write something out for my own character
Wonderful! ^^
Alrighty
Atlas Stanum, the royal heir of the Blackwood kingdom. They wouldn't be the first pick for an heir, but they're smart enough to run a kingdom and an only child. Their father passed when they were young, so now their mother Amelia runs the kingdom with her wife of two years Liane, the royal guard captain. They absolutely hate any sort of outside activity and often call themself a pacifist, prefering to be a delegate than a warrior.
Alrighty, I'll write out a starter :)
(I thought that was a starter! SO SORRY!!)
(Oh lol, no that was just my brief rundown of them lol)
Atlas peeked through their rooms' door, making sure no one was there before sneaking out of the rooms and slipping into the hallway. They wanted to go to the library, but there were some new guards or something, they weren't paying attention. All they heard was that everyone would be in the throne room which meant that they would have the whole library to themself!
Calum needed to arrive for the day and gave a small sigh. He hums softly as he made it to the palace, nodding to the other guards around him. He knew he needed to go and talk to someone, since he had received a letter from his captain calling him to the palace. He took a shaky inhale of breath, worried that he might be fired. But he hadn't done anything wrong, right?
The doors to the throne room opened when Calum told them his name. The queen sat on the throne and the royal guard captain stood at her side. The queen smiled. "Calum, I've heard much about you from Liane. I was wondering how you would feel about being promoted to be my child's personal guard? They wander off much too much and I'd feel much better if Liane's favorite guard were to watch over them."
Calum bowed the moment he came up to the two queens. He inhaled shakily as he waited. Though, he was pleasantly surprised at the queens words. He rests his hand over his heart. "It would be my honor, your highness." He replies kindly. He felt relief wash over him. So he wasn't getting fired. Thank the gods. He stands slowly, his eyes bright. "Thank you, Captain." He bows to Liane as well.
"Of course, your pay will be raised and you will reside at the palace." The queen continued, hands clasped in her lap. "You'll most likely find Atlas in their rooms or, knowing them, the library. Any questions?"
Calum hesitated. "I-If I am going to be staying here, your highness, may I request that my sister does as well? She's the only family I have left." He explains quietly, bowing his head ever so slightly. His sister was his top priority other than his job.
The queen smiled at that.
"Of course, I'm not one to force you to dedicate your every waking hour to this job, just most hours. I'll have someone summon her to the palace and we can get rooms for her as well."""
He nods and smiles, "Thank you, my queen. With that I will go." He bows quickly. Once dismissed he walked around the palace trying to find Atlas. With no luck in Atlas's room, he moved to the library. It took a little while for him to get used to the halls and what not but he managed.
The heir had their nose in a book and had multiple piles of books around them as well as a globe. They didn't notice Calum when he entered and unless he made his presence known, they probably wouldn't anytime soon.
