Samul kissed Larkin's cheek, chuckling some.
"Good enough for me. So, sausage patties for breakfast?"
Samul kissed Larkin's cheek, chuckling some.
"Good enough for me. So, sausage patties for breakfast?"
"Mm…" Larkin stuck the candy in his mouth and nodded a bit, reluctantly keeping his eyes open.
Samul offered a smile, grabbing the meat before setting them on a frying pan. He kept Larkin tucked close to him with one arm, doing all the cooking with the other. He'd gotten quite good at such things, dating the werewolf.
Larkin wrapped his legs around Samul's waist and held tight to him, obviously still grumpy and tired, but thankfully preoccupied by his candy for the moment.
Samul, knowing the full moon was coming up soon, cooked most of the patties, leaving a pile of them on the plate he and Larkin would be sharing.
"Here," he said, cutting off a piece of one and offering it to Larkin, "See if this is good, yeah?"
Larkin's pupils dilated a bit at the sight of the meat and ate it out of Samul's hand. "Mmmm… tastes good to me." He replied.
"Great!" Samul finished cooking, lifting the plate up and carrying Larkin to the couch.
"Here, shall we eat then?"
Larkin nodded eagerly and started eating as soon as Samul allowed him to. He definitely seemed to be pretty hungry. "How many can I have?"
"I'll only need one or two, you can have the rest," Samul assured. He took one in his hand, taking a bite out of it.
"Mmkay." Larkin kept inhaling the sausages, turning his ears back as he did so.
Samul scratched Larkin's back lightly as the man ate, smiling.
"I'm going to be calling Mom about going over once breakfast is over," the man said, making idle conversation.
"Mmkay. I'll probably try and work out a bit while I'm stuck inside… do you know where I put my weights?" He asked.
"Uh… Yeah, I think they're in the spare room," Samul said after a moment. He finished his food, nodding as he did.
"Alright. I'll do that then while you call your moms." Larkin finished eating and yawned a bit.
"Sounds good to me." Samul kissed Larkin's cheek, hugging him with a smile.
"Feeling more awake?"
"I guess…" Larkin shrugged a bit and huddled closer to Samul. "Still tired, though…"
"Mm… We can have a nap together later, his about that?" Samul ran his fingers through Larkin's bed head, scratching behind his ears.
"Mmkay… I guess I'll go now." Larkin sighed softly. "Tell your moms I say hi." He reluctantly got up out of Samul's lap and went to go find his weights.
"Okay, sweetie, I will." Samul offered Larkin a gentle smile, then stood himself to fetch his phone.
Larkin disappeared into the room that Samul had said his weights were in and picked them up so he could use them while he waited for Samul.
Samul found his phone, and soon he was talking quietly and catching up with his mothers.
Larkin stayed where he was, vaguely listening to the conversation, but not paying too much attention.
Samul spoke for some time, but finally he said his goodbyes.
"The date's set!" Samul called out. "It's going to be a couple days before the full moon, is that okay with you?"
"Um… yeah, that's fine. I guess we won't be staying long, then?" Larkin asked, seeming a little apprehensive.
"No, we won't," Samul promised. "And they do know about you, so they're going to make sure everything is fine." He walked over to Larkin, gently kissing his cheek.
