“Naturally I’d love to join you,” she responded, moving a curl out of her eyes. “And how lovely, Alice dear will be able to have a special first inspection. Speaking of Alice, what’s wrong darling? You look as if you’ve seen a ghost.” She giggled madly.
"Hallucinations," Robyn says, trying her best to focus on Marlowe, "That's beside the point, though. How do inspections typically work?"
Robyn let out a sigh after she spoke, bringing her head to her hands in an attempt to stop her headache, which was caused by the violent colors she was seeing.
The twins silently watched the conversation, until Robyn asked a question.
"They wake you early," Dee started. "Watch you take a shower then leave you to get dressed. Extra food for breakfast and by that time the inspector has looked at the rooms and the rec room without us in them. Then we all go individually into the interrogation room, where they do a progress report, and then we're back here while they watch us."
(if you don't want any of this reed please say so I'll change it)
(It sounds about right. Sorry for not writing today, I'm hella sick.)
"Hmm.." Aloysius took a drag, holding the smoke inside his lungs while he thought. A sly grin crossed his lips and he started to chuckle. "They always send a male inspector, must be awkward for you ladies especially when it's shower time." his chuckle became more of an actual laugh as his eyes drifted to Damon. "I don't mind, do you?"
Damon laughed too. "Not at all, it'll be fun. I want to make him blush this time!" He decided, standing up and starting to pace as he talked, hands up in the air waving. "What do you think the chances are going to be for this?"
"Chances?" Aloysius asked, pausing mid-drag. What has the chances been last time? "I'm going for a ratio of 74:26."
Though a small part of him couldn't help but be jealous that Damon wanted to make the inspector blush. Why was love a confusing chemical?
"Oh darn, I never was a maths person. I'm not entirely sure if that's good." Damon's eyes narrowed for a moment as he thought, but his mind let go of that string almost immediately. "Oh well, why do they do showers anyhow?"
"To make sure we aren't doing anything suspicious, like chipping away at the walls or the like." As Aloysius spoke, a great plume of smoke left his mouth, followed by a hard chesty cough. His stomach growled loudly, like it always did when he'd been smoking too much, and immediately regretted not eating anything back at the other cell.
"Bleh, couldn't they just inspect it afterwards?" Damon almost acted like this was his first go around, it wasn't, but he seemed forgetful. His eyes went to Aloysius and he pulled a few cookies from his pocket. "Here you go dear!"
Aloysius took the cookies gratefully and almost swallowed them whole. When was the last time he'd eaten?
"They have to inspect during shower time, it's protocol. I don't mind though, depending on the inspector there is every possibility of them A, joining you in the shower, or B, having a nice old conversation with you to lighten the mood."
Damon walked around for a moment before giving a small hum and he dramatically laid back on Aloysius's lap. "The last inspector was okay, he liked my riddles." His mouth turned to a frown. "He won't come back again, will he? He got boring so fast."
With his arms tight around Damon, Aloysius buried his head in the crook of the other's neck, breathing gently against his skin. "They never send the same one twice, I've noticed. Perhaps to prevent any shenanigans."
"Good," He huffed, leaning against Aloysius. "Then it won't get boring. What type do you think we'll have today? A Cheshire? Maybe another Card Soldier?" Damon's eyes lit up. "Maybe the king of hearts! Those ones always get nervous!"
"Which ever one we get I will never be able to take them seriously." Aloysius gently rubbed his nose against Damon's neck, tightening his hold. "Which one will you have more fun tormenting?"
"I don't care, which kind will you have more fun with?"
It was almost strange to see the two like this… Almost domestic, well, as domestic as they get. They were insane after all.
"Depends what you mean by fun." Aloysius chuckled, smoke drifting through the air around their heads. A million thoughts rushed around Aloysius' mind, so many that he wasn't able to think clearly at all and so was saying the first things that came to him.
"I dunno, I had fun with the last ones, I think. I don't remember much other than the last one." Damon shrugged before breaking out into a small fit of laughter. "I just want to get more tea, even if it's not as good as the ones we make at home."
Something dawned on Aloysius, and for once he sobered up a little. He laid the butt of his joint down on the chair arm. “Hey, Damon? Do you think we will ever return home?”
Damon's eyes grew dark, he looked like he used to for a split seccond, still insane, but dangerous. "At this point, one can only hope. But I doubt we'll be getting out on good behavior."
“Would you want to get out of here, given the chance?” Aloysius asked, turning his head to the ceiling. He could vaguely remember what life was like outside of those walls, and in reality he missed the freedom. But he didn’t want to go back alone…
(would you guys rather continue this as a one on one or should I jump back in?)
(You can jump in!!! I'm traveling RN so my response won't be here for a bit.)
