City Lorenzai.

A massive, perhaps overpopulated city. Home to creatures humans a century ago could’ve only dreamed of meeting. Or feared, rather. Because not all creatures of Lorenzai are nice.

Not all are mean, either. There’s measures put in place to ensure crime going on in Lorenzai stays in Lorenzai, and when it stays in one city, it’s easier to deal with.

Many go to Lorenzai. Humans, modified humans, Caskets, beastmen, even machines and shapeshifters see a place in the city. Sometimes, it’s seeking shelter, a safer place. Other times, it’s a job. And even then, some just happened to want to live there.

With a foul crime brewing at its shores, what will you do? What will you do at Lorenzai?

Salutations! I wanted to try a different style of rp for my first rp on here. There will be no template; not right away at least. I will only ask that you present a writing sample, and that you are comfortable with mature topics.

The way the ‘template’ will work is you ‘registering’ yourself into the city’s database. You get to input how your character looks. At the end, I will have your ‘template’ filled, and ask if there’s any direct modifications you wish to input. If so, feel free to. If not, then we proceed to the city!

I myself will be controlling the inhabitants of Lorenzai. The main plot of this is a crime of some type; your choice is how fast you want to go after that crime or not. Sound good?

Remember; have a writing sample at hand.

Sure! Do you have a writing sample? Preferable one with dialogue.

May I?

If Mojack doesn’t qualify, maybe, but I’m waiting on their writing sample.

“I would use one of these on you,” Tirtan looked at his orange ring, “and as much as I’d like to use this one before Nuranour comes to pry it away from me,” he looks at the ruby ring, “but I think that would be overkill, so I’ll give you the mercy of not.” Tirtan clasped his hands together, looking at what could’ve been the sun in the sky, but it was not that. “You’ve already put on a show with Neohata, unfortunately I was not there to witness it, and neither were my people.” Behind him, his ‘people’ cheer and whir, and Tirtan waits until they quiet down before speaking up again.
“So I’d like for you to put on a show for me. Show me what you can do, Nameless One. Show me your skill. Show me your power.” He leans forwards. “Perhaps we will see a new one joining the ranks?” He asks his crowd.

Looks good!
Sorry to anyone else who wanted to join.

@Mojack Do you have any further questions, or would you like to begin the character creation process?

A Casket is like an alien..they’re only called aliens simply because no one knows where they came from, and they’re so unnatural it seems like the only reasonable response.
Caskets hide their true forms in a ‘casket,’ which is typically a human body, but a casket can be any of the following species I mentioned in the bold section of the main post.

Most caskets are received poorly and thus don’t reveal themselves as such, others are more bold with their identities.

True forms of caskets are typically a black colour reflecting almost all light, with one highlight, a bright colour that marks the eyes, insides, etc. They are more animal like, and usually have a shape they hover around, but can change form at will.

Most caskets will have ‘human’ or ‘Beastman’ on their identification papers written down as opposed to casket; even the ones that are bold about their identity.

Okay!
The character creation will essentially work like this: there will be a question and maybe an explanation. No need to enter anything extra unless needed to explain something, just enter the answer.

What is your (full) name?

Deleted user

Species?
(!) The species that you can be are in bold on the main post.
(!) If you choose Casket, state what species your Casket is.
E.G.
Species: Casket
Casket species: Jackal beastman

Deleted user

Nationality?
(!) The countries here are normal. Choose whatever their country of origin was from.

Employment?

Note: some machines have the opportunity to look more human. Are you a more human-like machine, or do you opt to look more mechanical?

@Mojack group

Currently unemployed, though had a previous job in the military of Slovenia.
Looks like a human, for the most part.

Appearance? Your true appearance will be looked upon later.

Note: Some Caskets hide that they are a Casket on their identification files. Will you choose to hide your species?

@Mojack group

5’10” woman with dark brown hair going to her shoulders. Nikita’s hair is slightly curly, her eyes a royal blue. Her hair sweeps into her forehead slightly, almost like bangs.
She’s got fair, leaning towards even pale skin. Her build could be described as lightly athletic, more muscle than the average person, but for what it’s worth the ‘muscle’ is artificial as is the rest of her Casket, given she’s mechanical (thus cannot gain or lose any muscle.) She has somewhat of a rectangular body shape.
Her true, mechanical self is quite the web, carefully intertwined wires and gears make up her mechanical undercoat which she rarely reveals. She’s not exactly pretty as a machine either, more so something out of a horror game if anything.

Yes, she hides her species.

True appearance? This would be the appearance of what lies underneath your casket. Keep in mind, it can change.

@Mojack group

Her true appearance is reptilian, although with how she’s built it seems to be mammalian. Typically four, long legs, and a long, crocodilian like tail. Long snout, teeth sticking out of the bottom jaw that’s usually parted. Long quills stick out of her back. Takes on default casket appearance in terms of colouring, with her highlight being light blue.

@Mojack group

While generally reserved, Nikita holds no qualms against going into other’s business. She’s a curious person at heart. Mostly well mannered and calm, it’s a rare thing to be able to completely tick her off, so if you do, congratulations. While she enjoys making new friends, she’s adverse to physical contact of any sorts, and will typically avert from holding or shaking hands during greetings, opting for a simple nod instead. Other than that, once you breach her silent shell, she’s quite sociable, even if she does (sometimes) have trouble with carrying a conversation.
