Finn read Archer's text again now that his sister was gone, again a smile grew on his lips. 'Are you sure???' He replied. The sky had started getting dark, which honestly made him very happy since that means it's getting closer to when he would get to see Archer. 'Random, but do you ever wish you had a sister instead of a twin brother?' He asked, his sister still kind of on his mind.
'No, I'm Archer.' Archer made a dad joke, and laughed way too hard at it. 'Just kidding, lol, but of course I'm sure.' he responded, with a little smile emoji. He found emojis hilarious to use, but rarely found someplace to use them at. then he read the second message. 'Honestly I wish I had one, I'd protect her and love her more than anybody could. You wanna trade Dom for your sis?' He sent, as he smiled even more wide. Finn was in for a heck lot of jokes.
Finn read Archer's joke, a bright smile appearing on his lips, he loved dad jokes but probably not as much as Archer did. 'lol, nice' He then thought about Archer's trade idea. Honestly, he did really love his sister, she was his best friend and the first one he came out to. She is super chill about things and he appreciates that. But of course, she gets on his nerves, like all siblings do. 'Ahh I'm good. My sis' is great… most of the time. A few minutes ago she burst in my room and asked if I could do her science for her. Then she accused me of having a boyfriend, how insane is that? I've never had one, not one guy ever seems interested in me so at this point I've accepted being single for the rest of my life.' He replied, his smile fading into a neutral expression.
Archer grimaced as he read Finn's words, especially the last part. "You never knew, did you? I thought my signs were obvious," He mumbled. He grit his teeth and wrote out his next message. 'You know, Finn, you might want to pay attention to details tomorrow. You never know what you might miss.' It was a subtle, and random way of saying what he wanted to get across, and he loved it.
Finn furrowed his eyebrows after reading Archer's text. He didn't quite know what he had meant by that. 'hmmm ok, I'll do that I guess…' He typed back. Glancing up at his wall clock, he noticed just how late it had gotten, which was all for the better in his opinion since that means Valentine's Day is soon. And he was excited for it for the first time ever.
'Finn, I promise, it'll all happen, don't worry.' Archer sent, immediately after. Another questionable text. "Yo, I just noticed it was getting late. I have to force Dom to sleep, I know he won't. He's got enough on his plate for tomorrow, er, see you tomorrow?*' He sent. He honestly didn't want to sleep that night, but he had to rest himself up so that he would be perfect for the other.
Once again, Finn read the message, a bit confused, but he didn't worry too much about it. 'At least you try to get Dom to go to bed, I don't even try with Hailey. And yeah I'll see you tomorrow!' Finn replied for that last time that night. After a second he did notice how tired he actually was. He rolled over and plugged his phone in, setting it on the bedside table. He slipped into the covers and attempted to fall asleep.
Archer almost replied with a goodnight, but kept it to himself. It wasn't the time nor place for that. He shut his phone off and, for that matter, shut his fairy lights off too. He went out of his room, and found Dom in his own room, screaming at his phone. "Dude, quit it with the anime girls, you know they don't exist." Archer teased. Dominic looked up, and for a second, could have been seen as terrifying. "Okay, okay, uh, just make sure to get some sleep," He mumbled. He walked back to his room, and passed out as soon as he hit his top-blanket.
( Time skip? )
(Yeah, works for me!)
Bright and early, Finn woke up to the sound of his alarm. He didn't mind his alarm since he made it a song he liked, and he was usually already at least half-awake so it just let him know that it was time to actually get up. But this time, it took a bit more effort to get out of bed, temporarily forgetting that today would actually be a good day. He slowly made his way to the closet to get clothing. Recently, he had started wearing relatively cropped tee shirts, so he decided to wear one. He picked out a black shirt with rainbow stripes in the middle. Of course a pair of jeans and his Doctor Martens. Only when he picked up his phone did he remember that he was hanging out with Archer. A rush of excitement went through him as he left his room to look for something to eat.
Archer lazily rolled over in his bed. If it could be said that he sends Dominic to sleep, the opposite would be true in the morning. Dominic walked into Archer's room, with a flashy grin on his face. "Oi, prince charming, wake your sleepy self up." Archer put his pillow on his head. "I don't wanna, Dom." He whined, like he normally would. "Or do you want to be late for your date?" Dominic purred, walking out of the room. That woke Archer up, instantly. He rushed into his closet, choosing a white, rose designed shirt. He added more to his appearance, choosing some pale ripped jeans. To finish it off, he chose a pair of white canvas shoes, with little roses sewn into them. Seemed cute enough for the day's goings-on. He then went to find his phone, and turn it on.
'Good morninggg~' Finn typed. He sent it and went into the kitchen. Reaching into his fridge, he got milk then up to the cupboard for granola. A simple breakfast, but at least it was breakfast. He thought about Archer, how excited he was to finally see him after so long… on Valentine's Day of all days.
'Morning, Finn. Sleep well last night?' Archer sent back. His cheeks felt like fire, he was ultimately excited to be seeing the other. He bit his lip as he wondered why he hadn't tried that before. Either way, it excited him beyond human knowledge. His eyes filled with intrigue at his thoughts.
Finn placed his breakfast on the counter and sat on one of the barstools. He checked his phone, smiling. 'I sure did. You?' He replied. Setting his phone on the counter, he started eating his breakfast as his sister came in. She smirked, seeing him extra happy on Valentine's Day.
"Wow, what a sight, my brother, Griffin 'Finn' 'Finley' Winford, happy on Valentine's Day. I thought pigs would fly before I saw the day." She teased him, sitting on the barstool next to his.
"Thanks… but you'll never know why so don't get excited."
'Of course. Perfect dreams and preparations went down before now.' Archer responded, with a giddy smile. He was somehow still half asleep, though it bothered him considerably less now. He wondered what all would happen that day. Did Finn still look the same, did he still do the same things in his free time? He frustrated himself at all of his questions, how did he not know the answers? He shook his head. Dominic, from a doorway, laughed at him. "Did you already get dumped?" He asked, slyly. "Oh shut up. You can't even keep a date for a day."
"Oh, of course I'll know, I'll find out one way or another. Just you wait. I'm going back to my room so have fun on your date. Bye-bye." Said Hailey as she left the kitchen.
Finn shook his head as he felt his phone buzz. He smiled as he typed back a reply. 'Great. Also, I think I'll be ready before 10:00 if you wanna make it sooner at all. But I know you need your time in the morning, so take your time.'
'Honestly, thanks for it. I might shoot for 10:30, you deserve the best I can manage.' Archer shot back. He whispered a small 'thank you' under his breath, one that Finn wouldn't hear. At least he wished the other good. He lazily fluffed his hair up in the messiest ways, just how he used to have it. He made sure his whole body appeared clean, and smelled good. Vanilla, his favorite scent, laced the cells of his skin.
Finn giggled as he read Archer's text. Of course, what else could he expect from someone that definitely wasn't a morning person? Finn, however, was a morning person. He was always up before Archer and always up and ready before Archer even thought about waking up. 'Sounds good! I'll be there around 10:30, but don't worry if you're later.'
'Alright. Thanks, Finn.' Archer replied. After that, he sought for a coffee cup and some actual coffee. He dragged himself into his kitchen and made some up in the coffee machine. He loved the smell of the stuff, it was almost addictive. After the coffee filled the little cup, he poured a load of creamer into it, and began drinking it after it was mixed up.
Finn just smiled. He was so excited to see Archer, it was crazy they hadn't gotten in contact before this. He finished his breakfast and left the kitchen. It was nice having one of the bathrooms right across the hallway from his room, so he didn't have to get far for it. He brushed his teeth then put half of his hair up in a small bun, leaving the rest down. A smile was still on his lips as he went across to his room.
Archer sighed as he noticed the cup getting more and more empty. Oh well, there was more time for coffee later. He walked into his room, and into the bathroom, and cleaned his face up. His clothing was still clean, and he was clean, so it was alright. He took out a small tube of chap stick and ran it down his lips. 'Gotta be prepared,' He told himself.
Finn flopped back onto his bed on his stomach. He didn't bother putting in earbuds as he started listening to music. At this point, he never put in earbuds. They were always in a bag or extremely tangled, so it was just easier without them while he was at home. Of course in public, he would never not have earbuds. Music always helped the time go by faster, and he definitely needed that now.
After a few more hot preparations, Archer picked his phone up. 'Alright, I've left the house, and I'm coming right now. Shouldn't be too long.' He sent to the other, just as he walked out of his door. He looked for his bike, that sat outside in a stand. He hated driving, and it seemed to suffice as a travel agent. He hopped onto the thing and began pedaling to their meeting place.
'Perfect, I'll be there shortly!' Finn replied, rolling off the bed and going out his room. The place was close enough to walk. He quickly went out the door, not bother to tell anyone he was leaving. A slight feeling of nervousness started bubbling up. That was strange, he used to be best friends with this man, there was no need to be nervous, but here he was.
( !!!ALERT!!! I will not be able to roleplay from March 16 at 1:00 PM Central Time to April 6th at 7:30 Central Time because of school closings because of the Coronavirus. I'm truly sorry, let's have a good final hour together until then. -Sorrel )
Archer picked his pace up as his heart rate increased. He was so excited, and so nerve-racked, that he didn't even know what to expect. So much could have happened in that little amount of time, he didn't even know if he'd be seeing the same Finn. Minutes later, he arrived, and got off of his bike.
Finn was about half a block away, the building in sight, when he saw a biker arrive at the place. He smiled, it just had to be Archer. He had always biked so of course it was him. Finn picked up his pace, walking as fast as he could. He arrived about a minute or less later, a huge smile on his face. "Archer?!" He yelled very happily to the other male.
