Cameron chuckled softly down at her, shifting so he was comfy on the ledge. "So the cat becomes the mouse," He purred teasingly, shifting his broad shoulders. "You see, angry about it, too." He tapped the concrete under him with a bright smile down at her, in response to her glare.
"Oh, very funny," Ava tells him, sarcasm dripping from her tone. "I already want to stab you, don't give me a reason to." Between his smug look, the purr, and the craziness from today, she needs someone or something to take her anger out on. If he keeps this up, he'll be what she uses as a punching bag.
Cameron chuckled and scooped his cheek in a hand. "You threaten me while you did something similar to me. And I didn't stab you." He waved a finger at her. "I could shoot you from this angle before you could even reach me, so don't try." He sat up with a stretch and yawn. "So did you catch a group of men passing by here? I had to kill them."
"I only stabbed you because you took out my target. It was well deserved," Ava tells him. "You already shot me one time and I'm perfectly fine. Clearly, you're not as good of a shot as you think," She sasses, still very tempted to throw one of her knives at this overconfident asshole. "Find the group yourself, I don't have time to deal with your shit," She comments, rolling her eyes at him.
"Thought I got the money, it's my job, asshole," Cameron said stiffly, immediately relaxing again. "And I wasn't trying to kill you. I was trying to protect myself, because last time I checked, I wouldn't get money or give anyone justice if I died. Same with you. Why would I wipe someone like you off the streets?"
"Don't try to put me in the same group as you. When I take someone out, it's because they need to be taken out but when you take them out, it's for the money," Ava snaps, her tone sharp. She's being a bit of a hypocrite but that's not the point. "First of all, you can't wipe me off of the streets. Let's get that very clear." She's incredibly confident of her survival abilities, something that she's sure will eventually come back and bite her in the butt. "I don't know why you would try. Maybe if I'm considered competition?" She throws out a half-hearted guess.
Cameron rolled his eyes. "I try and give you a compliment and you throw it back as if I insulted you. You have no stopping point with your rudeness." He sat up with a sigh. "Like I said. I'm not doing it just for the money. I have the rest of my family to support, so I bring in a lot of money. I care about both of my jobs." He stood up, shaking himself out. "Anyway, since you're too stupidly stubborn to tell me where my targets are, I have to go find them."
"Yes, your precious little restaurant." Ava shakes her head, completely unbothered by his words. "I never said I knew where they were, I just said that I don't have time to deal with your shit. Have fun tracking down your group," She tells him right before flipping him off and starting to stroll away. Whistling sharply, she waits for Kreja to make his appearance. The dog bounds up to her a few moments later. He growls a little when he spots the man on the roof, still not liking him. "Let's go home, love," She comments to her beloved companion.
Cameron trotted in the opposite direction and lept another building, quickly running out of sight with a deep sigh. She was so annoying. No wonder she left her family, she probably thought she tragically wasn't good enough and left. The thought of the high probability of that made Cam snort out loud. She's just annoying like that. Hopefully I never have to set eyes on her again.
Ava walks alongside Kreja, talking to him about how much she hates the man. "It's like I'm cursed. I'm always running into him," She sighs, shaking her head. The dog barks in response. "Yeah, yeah, I know. You're sick of hearing about this and you want your food." Chuckling, she grins down at him. The look of amusement disappears from her face when he turns and starts trotting off in the opposite direction. "Where are you going?" She calls before jogging after him.
Cameron paused when he heard voices from a group below, peering down off the building. He pulled out his pistol as he spotted a group of congealed men around one body, which was very clearly dead. Well, Cam was about to make more. He quietly cocked his pistol, turning off the safety and aiming with an inhale. He squeezed the trigger and the shot went through one of the males' head.
Ava races through the streets of the city, trying to keep up with the crazy dog. It only takes her a moment to realize where they're going. She pauses for a brief second to take out her gun before she starts running again. They reach the street just in time to see a bullet enter the head of a man standing around a body. She swears quietly to herself and ducks into an alley. After catching her breath, she peers out from behind the wall and fires off two shots, taking down two men. Now, there are only two more men left.
Cameron jumped back at another gunshot, but nothing whistled by. He inhaled sharply and scrambled forth again, cocking his gun again before shooting at a second man before he could start scrambling for a source. Cameron caught the man in the neck and he collapsed.
Ava fires one more time, the bullet hitting the final man in the heart, killing him. Once she's positive that all of the men are dead, she whirls around and facing Kreja. "What the hell?" She demands. The dog is usually well behaved so this makes his strange behavior all the more concerned. "Was there a point to dragging me back her?" She spends the next few moments just talking to him and lightly scolding him.
Cameron inhaled sharply anc tried calming his beating heart. He slid down the edge of the building, starting to hastily move the bodies after slipping on gloves and making sure the blood didn't smear. He dragged them over to an alley, only to jump back to find the girl and her dog standing there, the girl seeming quite crazy as she chewed out her dog. He shook himself out and dragged the body past her to hide it.
Ava throws her hands up in the air, exasperated. "You know what? You're grounded. If you can't behave on missions, you have to stay home," She tells the dog, completely ignoring the fact that the bodies are being hidden. "Come on, let's go because you cause any more trouble." Rather than just letting Kreja walk free, she pulls out his leash and clips it to his collar.
Cameron tugged them away and hid them away, ignoring the girl and going back for the other two and tossing them away. He grabbed the last one and hid it in a seperate spots like the others. He glanced at her, then hopped up back onto the roof and ran away from the scene before he could be caught.
Ava brushes past the man and starts to head back home, her dog miserably trailing after her. He's in trouble and he knows it. Once they get back to the tower, she sheds her black and red leather before changing into a pair of skinny jeans, a white tank-top, a black leather jacket, and short black heeled boots. "I'm going to the bar. Stay here and don't do anything stupid," She tells Kreja sternly as she searches for her wallet.
Cameron, once he changed from his hitman getup, decided to go out to his resturant and have a drink. He threw on a comfy t-shirt with a pair of jeans and sandals, after feeding his dog and grabbing his keys, he walked to his car to drive to his restaurant. He popped in and drove down, parking in his spot and getting out with a soft hum, walking into the dim restaurant, where his bartender was washing a cup.
"Hi, Cam," He called softly.
Rather than going through the effort of going out the window downstairs, Ava climbs through one of the windows on the tower and scales down the side of the building. Once her feet hit the pavement, she starts walking to the nearest place she can get a drink. She strolls along the street, looking at all of her options. None seem interesting enough for her. It only takes her one more minute before she decides to go the restruant on the beach. She can get a drink and she can bother that asshole a little bit.
Cam sat at the counter and grinned at his bartender, who leaned back on his heels, flicking back his brown hair.
"What'll it be?" He asked, putting down a cup.
"Beer. Just the bottle, please," He asked. The bartender nodded and pulled out an ice-cold bottle, sliding it to him. Cameron caught it and cracked it open, taking a sip.
Ava steps into the restaurant and glances around. She soon claims one of the seats at the counter, well aware that Cameron is just a few seats away. This could be a lot of fun if she plays it right. "Could I get a martini? Extra dirty, stirred," She orders politely, a sweet smile on her face.
The bartender mumbled and started preparing the martini, scooting it over after a mean stir.
"Give me an order like that." He rolled his eyes and sat back. Cameron ignored the woman a few seats down and looked up to continue chatting with the bartender.
Taking a sip of the drink, Ava relaxes a little. She casually looks around the restaurant and takes note of how many people are inside and where they are. This entire day has been nothing but stressful so she's hoping that having a couple of drinks will soothe her nerves.
There were very few people in the restaurant, only about one or two people excluding the bartender and Cameron. The bartender was talking quietly to the broad shouldered man, smiling faintly. The pair was talking in almost whispered voices, the deeper of the pair humming deep in Cameron's throat.
